The 2 best features of the series S are it's size, and releasing during the shortage lol. 1080p 120fps on all esports titles and Minecraft is really all I could ask for, I'm more of a sit in the private lobby with my friends and see how much nonsense we can come up with rather than a triple A solo boi anyways. Recently I built a pc for free with parts my mom's boyfriend brought from the job that were headed for the garbage and while more power than the series S, it's no by much so I mainly use it for work and editing. The series S doesn't get hot at all and stays pretty much silent not to mention with the next gen optimization, every game I play is basically matching my monitor's specs anyways
@LNRivers yeah like when I play a demanding game I worry my pc will overheat or when I hear the fans i panic but with my console I turn it on and play without worrying. Also the platform is only for games so it is a lot less complicated

I am not a playstation user, but that could be because the dust is clogged up. Search up your model and how to clean dust on RUclips or go to some third party repair shop, and it could potentially help. Overtime, dust can slowly seep in and clog the fans, which causes less air circulation which can also cause thermal throttling and that noise too. The Xbox One from 2013 I have, seems to run games great for it's age and doesn't make a noise, because no dust clogs my fans anymore.
Get the Series S, you won't regret it. I have a base slim PS4 and combined with my Xbox Series S, I feel like I have the perfect combo. I'm not missing out on any games at the moment.
