Ibz, I'I currently studying pharmacy at uni and I can tell you that there is NO difference between buying the 60p boots paracetamol and the branded ones. They have the SAME formula for the drug and the SAME strength. These times you'll just be paying for prettier packaging.
1. Know what's going in and out 2. Prioritise on rent, food, and essentials 3. Buy in bulk eg shampoo, big sacks of rice/pasta, potatoes etc 4. Be aware of your balance 5. Mostly go for cheap brands, expensive isn't always better 6. Be very aware of overdrafts 7. Travel costs exist: walk, bike, get railcards or bus cards that last the years, it's literally cheaper. 8. Make use of school resources eg libraries, online journal access. Literally ask friends and family for expensive things you need for your birthday or whatever eg laptop, new bike. 9. Be aware of sales and black Fridays. But just because there's a discount doesn't mean you need it. 10. Make a note/reminder for when your free subscriptions will end. They will suck your money like vampires. 11. Don't eat out. No. Bonus: Group activities where you can pool money and share expenses are great. You can get group discounts too for some places. Just always remember to ask

Get familiar with healthy basic meals with ingredients that you can repeat 2/3 days in a row (ie.,rice, potatoes and noodles) and freeze meals for 5 days straight. Treat yourself at the weekends with your mates.
I always withdraw the money I need for the week out on a Monday - it's a lot harder to part with your money when you can see it physically dwindling away lmao

My advice is to put a reminder on about 2 days before your free trial is going to end, so you can cancel it early without getting charged. You're welcome.
Tips for students: Overdraft is not your money. Think of it as a safety net. Never use it on purpose. For example, if for whatever reason your bank balance got too low, you're £15 phone contract will still be paid. But never go into overdraft on purpose because it does affect your credit score/track record if you go into it too often.

The annoying thing about overdrafts is that sometimes your bank won't decline your card and will put you in an unarranged overdraft and charge you a fee (£8/9 a day) and they can update your account when you turn 18/21 and they don't always tell you. Happened to me and I got charged, so now I have an arranged one I don't use. Thank you this video, love the advice!!💚
