Appreciate the "take responsibility, not cast blame" attitude. I wish more people would be like that
Hear hear! It's so excellent! Super chill attitude. 🤙
Much as i,m aware, ECU riders sure are wholesome, happy, and actually take responsibility.
Such smooth road surfaces everywhere, I envy
yeah, roads where I live are just -full- of holes year 'round.
@@Zancoth look at shithole new york full of holes, they have the money, but incapable maintaining the city
@@elevengiant American cars are increasingly more heavy. Back when these streets were designed there weren't SUVs and EVs. Even Mclaren's Gordon Murray from UK was warning about this . Horsepower increases as well. American cars warp road surface like a rug. Then moisture comes into the cracks and winter does the rest. There's no tech that can fix it.
@@rhalfik i wish all car taxes were based on vehicle weight. These stupid 2500kg EV SUVs destroy the roads, a 500kg caterham or 30kg EUC barely scratch surfaces
Best video about daily commuting in the city! It's the most complete explanation about different situations on the road i've seen so far on youtube.
Keep yourself save "to tell us more about" PEV's) Cheers from Kyiv!
Thank you sir!!! Diakuju :)
Love how you’re still polite and courteous on sidewalks/bike lanes so as not to spook pedestrians. I also really enjoy this first person POV as well. I’m still very much a novice on my euc so it’s cool to see what it’s like to be skilled hahaha
Great Adam! This is what EUC is all about. Freedom! 🙂👍
Just on a sidetone: I appreciated the tour around Warsaw and also your apartment a lot. Living in a different country, it's fascinating to get some (small) insights to living in Poland. I think you are doing a great job at also being a great ambassador! Also I appreciated you sharing your views on the importance of PEVs as a part of the mobility of the future. Wrong way seems the right way!
I wish we had the quality road surface you have there. Here in NYC it's very intense with road conditions. But great video showing the dynamics of traffic riding.
Na początku nie byłem przekonany do pojazdów tego typu. Uważałem je za zagrożenie. Ale widząc jak sprawnie się poruszasz, zaczynam rozważać zakup takiego cacka.
What a beautiful outing!! So inspirational. You are so respectful of shared spaces, paths and roads and forgiving of those less considerate. Thank you for taking us along!
So many cycle lanes. Continuous ones too. Very jealous here in England, UK. Excellent video
This has to be one of the best EUC videos out there. So nice views to Varsaw, nice insight and demonstrates 100% why cars have become obsolete in single-person transportation in cities (here's hoping :D ).
Loved Adam's comment 'there's a bit of a learning curve'. Uh, yeah, there is. And hats off to you for the 4 seasons riding. I lived in a part of the US with a climate that appears similar to Warsaw and you would not see me riding 50K per day during the winter..
last time I visited Polen was back in 1980 during the cool war.I think its about time to go there again and this time riding on eucvacation.
The Cool 😎 War LOL
Great video!
But I think if there were as much EUCs as there're cars on the crossroads, each capable of riding at 40-70 km/h they would inevitably need some kind of traffic lights to not crash into each other. Pedestrians would never need any kind of regulation between themselves just because they are not danger for each other as their speed (and kinetic energy) is low enough.
And it's so nice to hear from EUC influencer that he prioritizes pedestrians/bicyclists on their paths. This is good for EUC riders image among non-EUC people (especially legislators who love to ban fun out of our life).
Not necessarily traffic lights, just priority and speed limits. You can definitely drive these things safely at 70kmph in some places but not on a crossing. Traffic lights are something we're accustomed to, but there are places without them that function efficiently. It's just a matter of speed at which you can brake in time. And PEVs brake better than cars.
Warsaw. Definitely a place I’d like,to visit! Good video, city riding is a art in itself lol
Your cycling infrastructure looks so much better than where I live in the uk. I ride it the road 95 percent of the time and it constant anxiety with tight single lane busy roads with cars parked with either side, constantly looking out for people and car doors opening on me. Also those cycle paths in the video look super smooth and fun to ride wish the uk would catch up with how transport is changing
Fantastic video, I’m sold!
14:14 greeting Adam! This was one of those days i've chosen bike instead of euc :)
Cheers!
You did the righ.............t way this time , love it when countries can give EUC so much freedoms , over here in the UK still have many restrictions. Cars are for long journeys and lazy people , as I can see you on the EUC you are so active 👍! Roll on
UK has a long tradition in putting itself behind in transport because of stupid laws. Locomotive Act back then, PEV regulations. now.
Drop tears when see roads like that and thats many bicycle paths. You can not ride like that in Kiyv, none cars rides on drive limit and here is none of normal roads.
It's unfortunate. It seems only the rich cties treat bike lanes seriously like Copenhagen or Amsterdam. I think it's silly. Bike traffic is much less expensive than car traffic..
What an awesome fun video! Lovely ride but at a ncie leisurely pace too... Can never get enough of these types of videos :) Thanks for sharing
What a wonderful commute! You do this format really well dude. I think I want one of these RS with display now and such effortless speed 😍
for real i do really enjoy the videos just riding around with some commentary, very entertaining, cant wait for my first wheel to arrive in a few days haha
I got msx100v with 2k wh battery, and having a blast. Still have only like 350km's on it, so its scary and uncomfortable to go faster than 50. Also having quite the wobble when slowing down fast.
Nice transitions from road to sidewalk to bike path.
I don't lane split as much as you do. I also avoid making left turns from the right hand lane. Maybe I'm a little extra cautious.
Man those are awesome dedicated bike lanes. I'm in the states in California playing in traffic 🙃
One of the best EUC videos I seen ;) I couldn't describe it any better than you, the freedom of driving EUC in the city, specially as a food delivery guy when you need to be fast and safe ;) What camera and mic you use btw?
Awesome! Great to see you here in the comment section Mr features :D keep up your fastest delivery badge :) GoPro 8 and rode Wireless go mic :) (media mod attached)
Advice : Kids, Dogs and people not paying attention are extremelly unpredictable think of every scenario and also what u wouldn t think would happen before u go past them.
Love the videos, i live in Bratislava and im buying an e scooter for the same reason. I have to get an euc sometime, they look like amazing fun and the range on them is crazy.
I've watched many of your videos and enjoyed this one among others. I've only been riding my SA18 about 6 weeks and have about 475 miles by now...some on trails and some in suburbia. I want to ride to work soon and your video is great encouragement for me. Unfortunately, I live in the most dangerous part of the US and that is central Florida. More cyclists and pedestrians are killed here than anywhere else. Damn tourists on their damn phone. I digress, thank you for this great video and you concerns regarding bikers, pedestrians and animals.
Imagine doing laser tag racing on these where if you're shot, you slow down 1 mph for 3 seconds. They stack too. Some zones of the track are safe zones where you don't slow down.
It can be very useful. An EUC and scooter has it limitations at times. It's good to have both
Most people only need it sometimes in which case they can rent it. We have a technology where every car owner can lend their car to other drivers through an app. The thing that limits it is the law.
Enjoyed this commentary and tour of Warsaw, well done!
From TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY !!! YOU GO GUY 1 LOVE & PEACE
Hilarious, and I definitely agree. Cars make sense when they cover a necessity, but inside cities they just no longer work. PEVs (and specially EUCs) are the way to go
Awesome ride. Great to see the city. I miss Poland. Im from Szczecin. Now living in the US.
love this new style of video! Very informative in riding in city 🙏
Haha just 25 minutes of Adam shitting on cars. Love it. There's some really interesting analysis of how cars, bikes and people can (and should) interact in cities on a channel called Not Just Bikes. Well worth a look!
In short they should not interract, haha.
Such a nice video. Just started on euc.. wonderful
Driving like that in denmark would get you into trouble .
I would not have the guts to zoom between the cars like he does, but i also see the practicality
Hey, thanks a lot, Adam, for this video! I gotta support some of the commenters here on the quality of Warsaw roads!
they A-R-E amazing in comparison to other cities. I ride in Moscow / Moscow Region, the road surfaces .uhm.. leave much to be desired + lack of bicycle paths, there's so few here in Russia. Car traffic is a priority, alas! Thank you again, the vid is so informative, on the safety, and carefulness, awareness, and attitude, speed, and road rules, and the vehicle choice we make xD Can't say thank you enough! Cheers!
Encouraged by you friend! Im going to get one soon by the grace of God, bless you and your channel friend I see good things ahead for you because of your heart posture (being kind and expressing how you care for bikers and get out of their way) much love. bravo friend and keep it up!
*_Great video. Thanks for sharing. More content like this, please. And, yeah, beautiful city._*
Yeah this is probably the best EUC commercial out there right now.
I love cruising on my scooter that I bought a few weeks ago, but it’s always gonna be a side hobby for me, I like driving powerful cars more and cruising in them, like a Mercedes E55 AMG.
Happy to know we share the same views and considerations for pedestrians/cyclists safety when we ride mate. I don't go on the road however. PEVs are still illegal here where I live so going on the road might draw even more unwanted attention by the authorities.
PEVs illlegal? Why?
i think its great to get something small like this for city use. ppl who vanlife can also benefit from this setup
Idealnie, chciałbym spróbować. Wygląda na to, że jest częścią twojego ciała. 👍🏻😃
Adam : I have to ride downtown today.
Friend : take care, it's jammed.
Adam : Trafic jam ? What's that ?
Ps : Did you hear about electric games in France, this summer ?
Hey, what's up bro? 😄 After this great video, thanks for that 👍 you getting me closer to getting one of them.
Thumbs up👍👍👍
A lot of the laws you broke like crossing over a tiny roundabout, going from road to pedestrian walk, going over t he limit on a cycle lane aren't so relaxed as in Poland. It doesn't pass a good image.
Also some jobs don't like the idea of taking your euc inside for some reason
Wowowowww ... feeling free and still stop at red light and always riding geared up.. u r a absolut win for the community... awesome love your style so much... fast but on the "legal" way... 🤘🤘🤘🤜🤛 stay save my friend u r awesome
Wish the Uk legalised all PEV’s already! Ridiculous how much ground Adam covers here compared to a car, has more fun, all whilst being green. Uk need to wake up to the benefits and put in better infrastructure for PEV’s and not be too strict on speeds and specs 😀
The roads and bike lanes look so nice! If i was going as fast where i live, i'd probably crash and eat it.
That was awesome great job!!
The perfect vehicle is here ! You seem to have a better opinion of this RS batch ?
I like this style of video 👍
FROM TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY. !!! YOU GO GUY’S 1 LOVE & PEACE
You're guys' streets/bike lanes are pristine compared to NYC lol. Wow. Rider's paradise
That comment of cyclist not slowing down as its too much effort to get upto speed is so true. I have seen this multiple times on my ride to work. They just dont slow down and keep the hammer down. For us its easy to slow down and get back upto speed.
One of your best episodes 🏆
People need to see this comparison.
Cars are World Death
Dude I love your videos I ride a rs hs and am 220 lbs I find it very reliable. What would be a good one to upgrade!?
Best video, a similar video as this telling us what your doing.
When you dodge obstacles are you squeezing your legs together then leaning? Are you squeezing your legs the entire ride for balance?
Maybe sometime can record you riding to teach us?
A bit late and I'm a bit rusty but I can try to answer. The short answer is probably no. The long answer is that I had a ninebot one e until 2 years ago (20 km range and 20km/h max speed) and spent almost the whole time with my legs not touching the wheel at all. I was always with my feet spread about shoulder wide, and was just standing on it. I would just need to raise one of my feet to tilt the wheel and turn, and it would come rest on my other leg. The only time I squeezed my legs was when jumping, like for going over a big curve. Over than that, I didn't need to do anything over than stand up comfortably. But as i said, it was 2 years ago, on a very light and slow wheel. Maybe things are different with better wheels, I don't know yet.
Very nice. I like.
Warsaw is one hell of a beautiful city. Our car infested S holes here in the states would cry in shame.
Not that I need any convincing - I'm stoked to "join the revolution" haha - I wonder how much distance you covered during this vid, and how long it would have taken if you were driving. Thanks for your vids, I'm watching pretty much all of them before getting started on my own journey! :D
The history in the place you live is everywhere, I am a WW2 history freak, I wonder if you have a load of war museums, lol, But of a daft wonder, lol, But yeah the history is amazing in your country, Got respect myself for Poland for helping us out in the Battle of Britain, With out Polish balls the pilots had, Helped us in the UK stop Hitler invade the UK, Got mad respect for the people who fought in WW2, Oh an the graffiti is everywhere aswell, Got respect the artistic vibes in the city, Lush city you live in bro....
Yeah I agree with lights and intersections I think roundabouts are the way to go and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to share the road with any vehicle that can maintain the speed limit whatever it looks like or runs off of, gas, Diesel, of electricity.
Lol....the problem with lights is that they're "theoretical barriers". So true!
Oh, come on, Adam. Splitting lanes in traffic does not eliminate stress. It is very stressfull for anyone with a little bit of imagination. ;)
Adam, you keep advocating for EUCs. Pretty soon, there will be traffic jams on bike lanes and no cars around. 🤣🤣
I have a small kid and seeing you how you ride on the pavement and knowing how quickly they can jump out from behind the corner ... Love the electric weel or scooter idea but some things are less reasonable
I wish our roads were as smooth as you have there. One thing to keep in mind though, is that if everyone rode PEV's and bikes, there would be a lot of people just going every which way if you kept the roads, but removed the cars. Not strictly needing a traffic light system, but you already know from rental scooters that people who never took a traffic safety course also don't have the constant thoughts about being responsible and curtesy that we as EUC riders put so much emphasis on. Less cars is good, but people still gotta move.
Are you using a wide angle lens? There is a quite bit of distortion, and some lens flair top right corner.
I can recommend: Ulanzi Anamorphic Lens for this type of use.
GoPro 8 in superview . I have a broken screen protector - that’s the flare
Great to see you got that many bicycle lanes in Warsaw!
Question: as I saw you don’t use power pads on the RS. Don’t you miss them? Not needed?
There are some but it still needs improvement ;) I did not have them on that day because I needed a break from power pads. Sometimes they just eat into my legs a bit too much ;)
Me: Car-less for 32 years now. Though I still like the idea of skipping traffic jams, buses are not immune, and trams and trains ain't always better even when they do skip traffic.
Great video and beautiful area. Watching your reviews and experiences I’m very interested in getting an EUC. However I live in a rural area and it seems like a very different use case. I work remotely so commuting isn’t a thing. I’m an avid cyclist already and am not looking to replace that pastime. I have a great electric car for errands and long distances. The EUC justification would simply be.. to have fun. Any hilly, rural-centric advice? General and in regards to what models to consider? The new Tesla v3 looks interesting but your reviews seem to emphasize the quality of the InMotion models. Cheers and thanks for the stream of insights!
Well said
i didnt bother to get my drivers license until i turned 21, i hate driving cars, i dont know what it is, i just feel so blind and not in control when im in them, so ive been using ebikes and other stuff for a year or so now to go to and from work, people ask how much my bikes cost and they 100% of the time say "why dont you just get a car man" but then my friend just bought a car for $8000 and then had to get a repair of $2600 on top of gas and other stuff, where i could buy an euc or an ebike and go the same speed as them with more control, even though being on an ebike or an euc might be riskier cause youre not in a metal box for protection, i feel a lot more safe when my own personal skill is the only real factor, i love the feeling of shifting my weight and getting a direct response instead of just turning a wheel and then turning, idk if this makes much sense but this is my opinion on euc and other electric vehicles
Here I am in Germany barely allowed to ride an escooter with more regulations than a prison. 22kmh max speed is the limit. Thanks for that...
Warszaw, a paradise for e mobility it seems. :)
What EUC would you recommend for a beginner, and in a county with eternal rain and snow?
Any Inmotion wheel (except v11 perhaps), begode Nikola/Tesla/MCM5, any KingSong
You should make an asmr like video where you just hear the wind and your treads through some nature riding
Awesome ! Very nice fluid streed ride. I wonder if a High Torque version of the RS could also keep up with the flow? and the s18?
Thanks! It depends on the car speed. Below 40 for the s18 below 50 for HT
I'm still a beginner (5-6 days riding). But, because I feel the EUC has such a steeper learning curve than most vehicles, I don't believe it could ever be the main mode of transportation for most people. Yeah, you must practice with a car, but you're not balancing yourself on a single wheel going 40+ mph either. However, there are arguments that stick shift may have a fairly steep learning curve to master, and you could also say that large trucks with stick shifting gears and a long freight are also skill-based with a large learning curve. So, idk...
3:09 watch out for kids or people running out of doorways. They are clueless to how fast you are going to them, you are a pedestrian with a helmet on and not a vehicle, behave as such.. I would never go this fast on a busy "sidewalk"
Pretty dope video nonetheless
Ireland is hell, good luck trying to find a bike lane, and even more good luck if there arent any people in 5x1 wide groups hogging both thin lanes
WronggggWayyyy,,.....ya! Very catchy lol
been 2 years i love my electric pev
What about going to work in a suit? Is there like an easy exo protection gear your slip on and off?
I love my car, outside of the city you have no chance to compete on this toy :) and also for shoping car is superior. Large parking lots around shoping centers are made for us :D. But sure if I need to move only myself around the city, PEV is the way to go :).
Do you keep all of your EUC's charged up ready for a ride or do you keep some at a balanced state?
Que asfalto, mano!!
What size pot did u use for the sherman stand. I'm using a 3d printed one and it's not up to the job
Uhm just one that the Sherman fit in the store :)
Cool channel!!
Hey Adam. Can you make a list of the safety gear you wear in this video? That would be nice. Kind regards from Germany
Holy cow! Adam please be careful. We need you to help promote PEVs :)
Snowbike/snowscooter for the winter months.
You use the Gotway RS, do you feel like its really stable at higher speeds. I have an mcm5 but if I go fast i feel like death is close to follow.
You lock it in with your legs to minimize the wobble lol comes with time
