There are various methods, the main thing is the engine needs to be blocked from turning so the crank pulley bolt can be loosened, I normally use the cranking engine method and a power bar.
I would charge around R1500 labour, Thank You for supporting my channel with your visit and interaction, I am pleased this video was helpful to you. Hello Gary ,,,got the engine,,,,timed exactly like wat you did,,,,,does this car heve fuel pump relay wher its location?and i bought new ignition cables,,,,confused on wer to connect in the ignition coil,,, please help
As much as I would like to repair your car online, this is just not possible, with the kind of problems you have it is best to consult a good mechanic near you, sorry Rabe.
It does sound like you have multiple faults, oil leaks, and a misfire, which may not be related, the fact that the car misfires in the morning is a concern, does it only misfire on start-up or during normal use too, are you losing coolant?
Only on start up especially but it didn’t misfire yesterday and this morning. I loose coolant a lot as a matter of I have stopped buying antifreeze because I need to fill up every week so I just use normal water
You may have water getting into the combustion chambers due to a leaking head gasket, the misfire on most mornings could be the spark plugs burning the water that seeps into the combustion chambers overnight, I recommend you to have a cylinder leakage test done or a chemical monoxide test to determine if you have exhaust gasses getting into your cooling system causing water loss.
I've got polo classic 2001 model I've packed it, it was having a noise on a top while I open it it was cam cap and I changed them now I am failing to set it to timing

Hi, what woul cause a clp polo having an air leak close to the PCV Valve? specifically the crank case end..
The PCV valve has a hard plastic concertina-type pipe on it, they usually crack and leak as they age.
