I really miss knitting and crocheting in bed. My M.E. & Fibro has gradually deteriorated to the “severe” category over the past 3 years and now I can no longer knit or crochet even with arthritis gloves/physio tape etc. and spend my days in bed with the tv or RUclips on low so this has been a nice gentle watch for me that isn’t full of loud music, flashing lights/graphics. Thank you

This video is such a disabled mood and I am HERE for it. The realities of merely existing as a disabled person can be so difficult, and it compounds when you have to work and/or be camera ready. I had such a bad pain/fatigue/extremity weakness day yesterday and this video was such a lift. I hope we both feel better soon.

Keep your spirits up. Like I posted before, their is an upside to being disabled was it could be worse; I was in the ER the other night where 2 of the other patients were in unbearable pain as they are dying. The worse symptom I have is pain when I try to walk and fatigue. I need a pot of coffee to energize me enough to stay awake so I can knit/ crochet

I LOVE 2 at a time knitting. It's the only way I can knit pairs of things. A few years ago I knitted 2 pairs of knee high socks like it, 4 socks on 1 cable needle, it felt like it took forever, but I had 2 pairs of socks once I'd done.

Your gloves are beautiful! I've seen that pattern and you did such a lovely job.
When your health is unstable, things get wonky, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I was inspired by your original stash-busting video and, once it got cool enough in my corner of the world, photographed and cataloged all of my yarn. I have even more than you and it's disconcerting. Then I caught COVID (for the second time, despite vaccines and boosters.) This did give me the time to finish a granny square blanket I'd started in 2016 and although I hated crocheting all the squares together, I love the finished blanket. It's large enough for one person and a 80/20 acrylic/wool, so it's machine washable, soft, and cozy. I finished another blanket, hated it, and ripped the whole thing out. There's something up with the increases in that pattern: they just don't lie flat. Third, I made a modified pair of Triangulation Mitts by Sybil R - she has a ton of mitt, glove, and mitten patterns that are constructed in very interesting ways. I'm now working on a pair of Starburst Mitts, also from Sybil R. I messed up a few times and am on my third go. This was my fault, not the pattern's.
I have a chronic illness and chronic fatigue, on top of post-COVID lethargy. I'm supposed to be designing a hat, but my brain just won't do it, so it's on hold until I have the brainpower for it. Same goes for finishing a mostly-completed capelet I designed. I see you. I see you.

Hello Claude, I hope you’re feeling better! Your falling leaves gloves are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your stash busting. You have inspired me to resume work on a sewing project that I put aside at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. My project is a crewel print cardigan jacket made from a cotton/linen drapery remnant. I look forward to having it done, and I can persevere just as you have. Take good care.

Well done! The final photoshoot reminds me of the Taylor Swift All Too Well video a bit with the lipstick and the autumnal colours. I love this series, can't wait to see what October brings :)

Love those gloves. You so rock. I have made some of my best textile work in bed trying to get over flu or some such or a bad arthritus day. Strangely it helps to know I am not the only one.

I'm sorry September ended up being so rough for you. Love the gloves and the jumper! Perfect fall vibes honestly. Hope you were able to get those sleeves blocked and jumper sewn up to enjoy in their proper autumnal weather 💖

I fell in love with the glove pattern when you first shared it, and I still love them now that you've finished them; I'll definitely have to make them as my "wear to protect my poor atopic hands the moment it gets a bit chillier" pair. :-)

Just found you and almost straight away I wondered if you had ME. I’ve been pretty much housebound for 11 months with long Covid so I totally understand. Thank goodness for knitting.

It's lovely to see your makes.I am 69 have always loved 1940's jumpers even when I was 17 .I am lucky to have original patterns from my gran.I have always used these patterns so I have never found them confusing.I love Susan Crawford yarns as the colours are so beautiful and look like 1940's.

Found your channel. I love it. I love knitting and crocheting and home fragrance ( wax and candles which is my channel theme) I am going to be starting a new channel in January 2023 based on my love of all things yarn!! I too have a chronic illness( lupus) that knocks me down daily and my love of knitting and crochet and of course, a great-smelling home makes me happy. Your honesty on how you are feeling is so refreshing.
GREAT CHANNEL thanks for sharing 🤩

Hope you’re on the mend sweet lady. ❤ I haven’t got a lot of knitting done myself in the last month or so… had some illness in our household, husband had gallbladder surgery, my FIL passed, found out my MIL is going to have MAJOR surgery in November… dryer 💩 out, holidays breathing down our neck, work is nuts at the moment… just one thing after another. Thank you for reminding me that it’s times like these that knitting could be of the most benefit 🥲🧶

I really appreciate you keeping it real in your videos. (The dry humor is great too. "Won't dry til April." :D) I know you said you wanted to do more, but I feel like you did a ton. I'm a new knitter though so maybe my calibrations are different. I just finished my second knit project (first was a washcloth) - it's a scarf and it took me 9 months. Knitting is still like magic to me so I'm enjoying watching you make really neat things with your hands and magic sticks. :D And wow those gloves are *gorgeous*. I'm not a glove person and I'm even tempted now. And I love the autumn colors of the chevron jumper. The remainders reminded me of a crochet a-long I did - we made small lacy squares (which we put together in rows) using small amounts. The original skeins were often 20 grams. I hope you find something you enjoy for the rest of that yarn. Love love love those colors. Also, those cats on your socks! 😍
