I would most definitely try to hatch a rabbit lol. That’s so awesome Lester sent an Ostrich egg. Our ostriches aren’t laying yet. Lester’s eggs are beautiful. I love the color of the turkey eggs. I hope you have a wonderful hatch!
It is always interesting to me how many chores you guys get done. Being born and raised in the city, I love watching you do things I will never get to do.
My grandfather used to raise cattle and he had a big tank of molasses (and who knows what else) out in the field with rollers that the cows could lick and it would rotate down into the molasses and back up for them to lick it off. I remember licking that thing a couple times and it was really sweet and tasty. Later I saw it covered in flies and also realized I was eating after the cows and I decided I didn't need to lick that thing anymore.
So....I just found you and your wife's channels today. I love what you guys are doing! I love your farm and critters. You are living my dream. I am a 61 yr old grandmother and disabled. You have brought me joy today. Your son Houston is amazing and quite the personality! He definitely has the gift to be such a amazing young man. Thank you and God bless! 👍❤🙂
Oh Cindy welcome to the Arms family subscribers..you'll love this wonderful family ..their good honesty godly ethics of living their life and raising their 3 wonderful children..and numerous animals.. enjoy..🐕💞✝️🙏👏👍🐾🐈🐕🐐🐂🐴🦙🐖🐦
That Houston is such a cutie and so so polite. Not to many young people these days are so appreciative AND express their gratitude to well. Daniel, you and Deejay are doing a fine job raising those kids. From what I've briefly seen from the other two they're all fine young folks. Just what us old folks like seeing because we know we'll be taken care of.🤣💜💜💜
21:05 - that TYM tractor is the bomb! I live in IL (which is also called HellAnnoy) and for years John Deere and Cat dominated the landscape. From what I've observed here on Arms Family, TYM should take over much of the market -- especially if they have "right to repair" in their purchase and service agreements. Deere and Cat got greedy, stranding farmers in their fields when equipment repairs were needed -- basically telling agrarians that they'd just have to wait until Deere/Cat "got around to it". Meanwhile, crops were rotting and animals starving...and Deere and Cat didn't give two flying fLIcks, much less even *_one_* flying fLIck...
So cute; the two were on their back feet, ready to rumble. Nothing like a crowd watching you. How is the injured duck doing? It would be wicked to see if you could hatch the ostrich egg, then give it to another farm once it gets too big. Silkies are so cute. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing, eh :))
They were thoughtful and generous enough to send you the eggs. We have had emu and ostrich in the past, not going to lie the male ostrich sometimes can be very trying. They are not so bad if you raise them from chicks if you raised him from chicks and handle them, but if you buy adults like we did from ranches in the Hill country they can be difficult. Let Houston try to hatch them it would be an experience for him, if it turns out he doesn't want to keep it he can always make him some money selling it
Farmer friend had a mid-sized kangaroo that would box him all the time. He traded it for an adult male ostrich. It was unloaded straight into the barn and later the day he got it he was going to open the walk through door and let it live in the pasture. It bopped him on the head a couple of times then kicked him and snapped his femur(thigh)bone. It was sold before he got out of the hospital and he decided having exotic animals to show off was no longer a good idea.
@@Ray56z we did not have our livestock to show off. We raised our stock of emu, ostrich, goat, etc. for meat markets and restaurants, as a widowed mom of 2 it is how I was able to support my two boys!! There was a lot of hard work for me, no showing off!!!!

A note about those mineral blocks. If you put them on a stump, long after the block is gone, they any of them, will chew on the stumps because of the blocks melting and the stumps absorbing the mineral. Won't hurt the animals as in donkeys, horses, cows and deer will start eating the stump

Daniel, for the ostrich egg…if you don’t want to incubate it or eat it, drill a hole in one end of it and drain it. My cousin was head zoo keeper at the Garden City, Kansas zoo. Because he had just gotten married they couldn’t afford Christmas gifts so he drilled out the eggs drained them (which took quite awhile) and have all of us cousins ostrich eggs. Do that for Houston and he could use it to persuade his class to start an ostrich farm. Just an idea.

Hey, next time y'all are up in OKC, I have some young Muscovy hens laying eggs. They've just started laying, so later in March/April we hope to have some making nests and hatching chicks. Or Houston could come pick out a few Muscovy chicks some time? We are half-way to Kingfisher, so north of the city. The farm where we got our Muscovy ducks from is "Secret Garden Farms" near Purcell. They also raise Mottled Java chickens that were on the endangered list!
Good luck Huston on the eggs!!! ❤❤❤❤❤watching your videos! Thank you for sharing and have a great evening!!
Love Houston's doe and her babies. There is something about the spotted combined colors with spots that I really like.(Terry (KY.))
I enjoy the pond camera, i think an occasional camera watching the baby goat feeder pen would go over well. Houston good luck with the eggs.
You're a fine teacher. I appreciate all the information that you explain about your farm and methods.
I do hope the egg hatches Houston it would be so nice to see.
Blow the innards out of the ostrich egg, cook the egg and save the shell. Some people paint the shells for decor.
I think you should hatch the ostrich egg 🥚 Happy Happy Valentines Day to you and your family 🙏🕊️❤️ 🌻🌹
I have seen other farmers using zip ties to join gates, tarps, etc.
I love your animals.
Hatch the Emu and Ostrich eggs! Never know if they both hatch or not! Exciting!
