This is the best report I’ve since so far… most of our people in the Congo and diaspora have no idea about all this, they look at what’s in the open instead of looking deeper who is the dark hand behind our suffering. No nation in the west will want Congo to prosper or would want our people to be educated. Education Congo the west will not get our minerals almost for nothing, put yourself in the enemy’s position, why would they want that? Wake up Congo, specially the youth.
I always raise this point when trying to explain the Congo situation. The current narrative about Kagame leaves out these underlying historical facts. This is done on purpose by the former colonisers.

A good video but also not fully descriptive of the Congo and it's sad issues. Congo is a sad example of wasted potential borne out of bad external and internal factors. As a African myself (Nigerian) it annoys me when most people only attribute Africa's current problems to "colonialism or racism", effectively removing personal responsibility of us Africans, and ignore more important factors like geography, climate, socioeconomic systems, political unity and leadership. All of these problems existed in teh Congo LONG before westerners came there and they still exist LONG after the west left. The west bears some responsibility for problems in the Congo but it is just narrow-minded to claim they are teh sole reason for all the problems with the country.
The wars in the DR Congo are not my agenda, - although I must help to point to unrighteousness in this Last Continent that is my home too. As a Pastor in Africa, my calling is to help the local church in Kisangani to continue the outreach to isolated villages along the Congo River and its tributaries. Although Christian church and missions philosophy has it that the "local church" must continue the witnessing work, poverty in the DRC leaves the churches as mere centers of spiritual soothing in a violent and traumatised country. Come now global Christianity! The Gospel of Peace needs to return to (eastern) DRC! While the exploiters and workers of iniquity do what they must under Satan, those who follow Christ Jesus of Nazareth must devise a global strategy of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Especially in the DR Congo and an Africa for Christ. See Revelation 22:11, please.
English & French Kagame African Hitler English version. More than 10 million dead, 500,000 women raped... and still silence. Until when ? Between April and July 1994, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), formerly Zaire, was invaded by an influx of Rwandan refugees and since then it has been *constantly* attacked and looted by troops from Rwanda and Uganda. What is happening in this country where the deaths are now counted in the millions and the rapes in the hundreds of thousands? Charles Onana demonstrates that since 1994 we have been witnessing the masked invasion of the Congo by militias and troops of Paul Kagame, the Rwandan head of state initially supported by the Clinton administration and then by France in Nicholas Sarkozy. Based on exclusive testimonies and documents from the CIA, the archives of the White House, the Elysée and the European Union, the author reveals how the United States trained this man without faith or law, to serve their interests in the DRC, the Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, and other Central African states where the war between the West, China and Russia is fierce for the control of strategic mineral resources. Insatiable predators carve the DRC and plunder its wealth. After 20 years of research, the author alerts the public to the programmed extermination of local populations when several heads of state in the region and a European ambassador have already been assassinated. Charles Onana explains above all how the killing of the DRC is organized by using terror and lies in order to seize essential minerals for the world industry of armaments, mobile telephony and transition energy. An explosive document behind the scenes of the gigantic massacre of human beings which takes place a few hours by plane from our Western countries. Charles ONANA is a doctor in political science, specialist in the Africa of the Great Lakes and armed conflicts. Author of several reference books on this region including Europe crimes and censorship in the Congo (Duboiris), Rwanda: The truth about Operation Turquoise (The Gunner), Investigations into an attack: Rwanda April 6, 1994 (The Gunner), he worked for a long time with the investigator Pierre Péan on Rwanda and the DRC. Charles Millon, Jacques Chirac's Minister of Defense from 1995 to 1997, experienced the invasion of Congo-Zaire at the political outposts and recounts his personal experience in the preface to this book.
Two of the main ways Belgium made Congo poor were by imposing socialism and marxism/structuralism/post modernity (what today is called critical theory, critical race theory, critical tribe theory, critical gender theory, structural marxism) on Congo. Mobutu continued these policies. And they led directly to the 1993 (I believe it began in Burundi in 1993) to 2003 war. This led to the demonization of any group that worked smart and worked hard such as the Tutsis. It didn't help that the international community cut off aid and trade with Mobutu because of human rights abuses, which accelerated Congo's collapse into economic depression and war in the 1990s. Congo remains socialist to this day. If Congo wants economic development, Congo should implement globalist capitalist reforms the way Botswana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya have. This is how Congo can become an African lion economic miracle. Congo also lacks enough positive inequality. Congo needs orders of magnitude more elites, lower middle class, middle class, upper middle class and rich people. While these would increase nominal inequality, they would massively benefit the poor and reduce poverty. Congolese expats and diaspora would likely return to Congo in droves if this happened.
Why Botswana and Rwanda can get out from their history and developed so well? Do not blame others, look at your own people in DRC. Almost every government officical asks for bribes, at any time and any chance, in the customs. This is a nation without any shame. If the people do not have self-respect, there is no chance they can get out of proverty. No Way!
Very very different histories. Botswana was a basketcase at independence and the colonialist literally abandoned it. From an incredibly good leadership, they took their destiny to build their economy after diamonds was discovered there post independence. South africa tried destabilizing them unsuccessfully and they survived and thrived. Rwanda recent economic success is a much more deal story. There's abundant evidence that most of rwanda's wealth is from proxy wars and theft of resources in the eastern DRC.
Like the old cartoon that depicts an african on his hands and knees while 2 Europeans are playing chess with the board on the african's back. If only he stood up it would be game over for them!

Shouldn't South Africa focus on massively improving K-12 academic outcomes and surging non mining GDP?
I think almost every African country should focus on massively improving K-12 academic outcomes to surge non mining GDP.
Do you agree?
@@surprisethanjekwayo8846 Why do you think Jews, Indians and Chinese outperform caucasians in South Africa, Africa as a whole, North Western Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, South America, Central America, North America, Australasia?
In the 1940s Hong Kong was economically comparable to many African cities.
Today, Hong Kong--despite having 7 million people--has far more millionaires than the entire continent of Africa. Africa has over 1.4 billion people. Why do you think this is? Should more African countries (other than only Botswana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya) follow the asian tiger model?

As a Canuck, I have extreme disdain for tyrannical Trudeau, and this exploitation

Congo has been independent over 60 years and you are still blaming Belgium for you current poor situation. Singapore was a poor country till 60's without minerals like litium, cobolt etc. but now Singapore is one of the richest countries in the world. Do you think letting Russian and Wagner group take advantage over those recources make Congo situation any better?
Singapore hasn't had to suffer any neo-colonial damage Africa has had to endure. Until now, Africa only has flag independence

The same thing they are doing to Central Africa Republic

English version.
10:25 - the benefits of Christianity. Woww!
Congolese expats and diaspora would likely return to Congo in droves if this happened.
western and Europe interest in Africa
African's were so weak very sad
This makes me dislike the west.
No doubt!

Really? The CIA did that? Really? Yep
No doubt!
When do we stop blaming the West are ask what 60 years of Africa leadership has done for Congo.
When the West answers for it's crimes that set Congo into a tailspin in the first place. Congo literally kicked out a corrupt western multinational 3 months ago
When the leadership starts to rally the people against the West by blaming themselves for not acting sooner.
