Most know this already but for those who do not. The problem if you have an algae bloom already is the algae will be consuming your phosphate and nitrate so test readings will be low regardless. Far better to prevent the algae bloom before it grows. Prevention is preferable and although this looks useful, just remember testing may not be accurate when you see algae.
Can the dose of +NP be measured by standard test kits? I've been reading around and it sounds like the nitrate and phosphate in +NP can not be measured by standard test kits because it's a different "type" of NO3/PO4. If I dose +NP, can I test for it to make sure I don't overshoot the mark? Have you ever heard anything like that?
Hmm...Haven't heard that before. It might be worth shooting an email to Tropic Marin. I'm sure that Lou over there would know how to best answer your question.
What’s the recommendation for low nitrate around .1-.3ppm but high phosphate around .25-.3ppm. Elimi-NP will help get my phosphate down but my nitrates are already too low
Since this product will also lower nitrates, it's probably not the best for your specific scenario. In your case, I would suggest using some GFO to get phosphates down without affecting the nitrates as they're already really low.
great explanation. I hate it when these companies are vague on their products.
Great job 👏
can this be used on a FOWLR
This can be used in any saltwater aquarium!
How long does it usually take to decrease the phosphate? I have been using Elimi-NP for months and 2 bottles and have not seen any decrease.
Totally ignored comment.
Not my fast food down almost like magic didn't do much for nitrates, but it was a godsend for phosphate
Great video

Safe to use if tanks has no skimmer?
No
Carbon dosing does work in tanks without a skimmer, but a skimmer does make it much more efficient.
Interesting but I still don’t understand where the other carbon dosing product « Reef-Actif » is placed in their line and when/why you should use it…
Essentially the same end goal, but just a different way of getting there. If you're using one, then you won't need the other.
Y not
First?
Show us your tank or im out of here Mr.
Hahahaha ok, ok! It's coming up soon! I'll post it up on our facebook community page too :)
@@ThomasBReef finally -_-. Heheh thank you man. Appreciate all your videos but the TM carbon dosing were at GoD level. I do use the three of them
