See this is the stuff i love.
Does it work? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Why did you make it? Because you could.
Cool stuff, mate. You got a new sub

Loving your experiments with the clear acrylic, can't wait to see the pan and sluice together! Super inspiring

To the guy that suggested you make the clear pan in your clear sluice video. Bloody good idea! interesting if nothing else. And of course good on you for actually making it.👏👏👏

At first I was like... Why ..... But then..... Oh this is actually a great idea. Maybe figure out a way to have one made by someone with a 3d printer that way you can get riffles and such made in the pan. This video is really cool. ❤

Thinner than a normal plastic pan. There's probably some flex going on. Looks like you pulled it from the mold too soon.
I'd go 3-4 times as thick, maybe 5, some semblance of riffles added in. Maybe sized for fines.
Given the nature of acrylic, I probably wouldn't try emulating the Garrett riffles.
Interesting! I'd classify it as a novelty pan for the beach.

I remember asking a bloke with a 3d printer to make one of these in a Facebook gold group years ago, i was laughed at for the idea 😂 i was always just curious to see how the gold sat on the bottom

A scratched pan is good , catch the gold better.

Would it be too far to do a completely clear prospecting trip? Sluice / pan / classifier / shovel / crevice tool.

I would remake the pan using a vacumform mold. relatively easy to do and youll be able to see your gold a bit better through the bottom.
