  • Traveling down the south coast I found myself at beautiful Merimbula, 30mins south of Bega. I was fortunate enough to have an awesome session in the Lake on Tailor using Surecatch metal spinners. Hope you enjoy the video!
    Gear:
    Rod: Team Daiwa 7f 2-4kg
    Reel: Daiwa Sol ll 3000
    Line: Savage Gear Silencer braid 9lb
    Leader: Sunline FC Rock 10lb
    Lure: Surecatch metal spinner (20g)

    As a noob, can you explain how you avoid snagging a metal up in the reeds? Looks pretty shallow and reedy. Is it all about the fast retrieve to avoid hitting the bottom? (I've just moved to this area and fished here for the first time on the weekend)

      Yes it’s with the fast retrieve as I would get snagged on the bottom with all the weed like you said! Tailor like a fast moving lure
