Hi Kevin, what the best approach one can use to users to OneDrive/Teams/SharePoint. Thanks for the clarity and simplicity you explain concepts. Regards
This was a great help! Can you do a video for intensive/advanced document library permissions?
Ahhh gotta love the permission settings. This actually can be a lifesaver to stop those random peers from modifying your work without you wanting them too. Great tutorial Kevin :)
This video was very informative and easy to watch. The scenarios are great for demonstrating new concepts!
This was really insightful, exactly what I was looking for. You never disappoint Kevin. Thanks so much.
Love your videos. SO HELPFUL! Please include more SharePoint videos on individual web parts and how they function. Thank you!
The content is very welcome. Thank you. By the way: I really enjoy the small jokes and winkes you make in your video’s. Your sense of humor is very well appreciated :-)
Awesome video, explained exactly what i needed!
Thanks for the insight! Had a lot of take aways, you're the best Kevin! 😊
Hi Kevin, great video as always. I first watched it when you created it and came again today for refresher as have not set a site in a while. I also enjoyed the SharePoint playlist. Thanks for continuing to make videos for us to learn from.
Great video Kevin. This is the great way that permissions cannot allow to modify our works and some confidential SharePoint sites. Thank you Kevin :)
Great session Kevin. I really appreciate the thorough discussion.
Hey Kevin
actually in my school, the students have been assigned office 365 and we're making an excel sheet to update daily work.....your tips are helping a lot

A comprehensive video about Sharepoint permissions and easy to understand.
Much better than other tutorials on the Internet which are just difficult to follow.
Subscribed to your channel.
Do You see my comment?
I love the way Kevin explains tech issues. He's engaging and thorough - though he speaks very fast so often I have to rewind and watch again - not a hardship. Thanks Kevin - I learn loads from you even though I can't always keep up!
thanks for the great video, I found using Sharepoint is rather complicated, but I have to use it for my work, I may need to rewatch your great videos again. thanks
Great video Kevin. Thank you, I clearly understand sp. permission now.
Brilliant. Just what I needed. Thanks
wow this great, all that for an informative tutorial, as always thanks Kevin
Fantastic video! Great explanations! Thanks!
Thanks a lot Kevin! Very nice video and tutorial!
Really useful - exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you very much for the clear and concise explanation. This is greatly appreciated and very helpful.
do You see my comment?
Thank a lot, Kevin. Finally found the answers I was looking for to be able to compare permission levels in SharePoint to those in Google Workspace!
Which one is best?
Thanks Kevin - I love it that you give some really clear and easy to follow guides. Why can't MS do that???! One issue I'd love to get answers on is this: I have created a standard project folder which is open to all members under the 'parent' settings, but then removed user permissions for a couple of the sub-folders so that they are only accessible to owners. That works fine - but when I copy this folder to start another project, the 'parent' permissions are reinstated on all sub-folders. Is there a way around this? So that I can copy the same folder structure/permissions for multiple projects? Thanks in advance!
Great summary of permissions! I would also love to se a video about how to grant permissions to read sharepoint news from a team site (for example aggregated news from a teamsite to a homesite), without granting access to Teams (conversations etc).
Thank you Kev, This was helpful
Great Tutorial Kavin!!
Amazing content, thanks Keven.
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for.

Great session !!!
Very well done as usual. Our entire IT department subscribes to your channel because your tips are so helpful. But after all your care in setting permissions you revealed your Top Secret Recipe at 21:13. Gotta be more careful! 😉
Too late - I got it now!!! That's gonna change the path of mankind.... Muuuuaahhh!! 😀
Loved it !!!!!!
very valuable video because Sharepoint accesses are difficult if you want to limit access to individuals (i.e. HR) for specific folders
Great video Kevin! One question: to assign dynamic permissions to users in a Sharepoint Online list based on the email address that contains a row in the list, what would the flow look like?. The idea is to let users see and edit only the items in the list where their own mail appears. I suspect that a succession of "Apply to each" action and then within a "Grant access to an item or folder" using the ID field containing the mail address might be good approach. Still, if you could offer any hints and suggestions in detail, that would be great. Thank you in advance!
This was perfect t for a junior SP admin!
Very well done and easy to understand video
Nice explanation. Thank you sir.
Excellent vídeo. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Kevin. Great video as always. I have a question on where to save a document. Say you have an employee listing that you want all to view. But only an HR person to edit it. Is it better to save it on an HR site and share with a View only option, or save it on a public site and restrict it there? We only want one version of the document. What are your thoughts?
Great video!!!
Perfect subject 👌🏻
Hi, Kevin! Quick question. We are trying to link a table from our Excel masterfile to a new Excel document. It lets us copy and paste links on a sheet but when we reopen the new document the links disappear. Both files are in our SharePoint but authored by different people. We would appreciate your help in making the link dynamic.
Another great content, fully detailed and a great exampling of why you should keep your secrets away from Nestor
Thank you Kevin very useful ... what about the directory permission insider libraries and the files contained?
awesome. i am still puzzling how to differentiate permission for my sharepoint team site. this helps a lot
Great video. Can you nest security groups into the Sharepoint groups to administer access via AD on-prem or Azure?
Kevin, there seems to be two different settings areas. There’s the gear icon at the top right then you select Site Permissions and then just below that there’s a “person “ icon that you can select Group Membership types. How are these different? Where I work these sometimes have different settings.
Good, thanks for all vedios
Super helpful. Thanks Kevin. Is this essentially all the same for SharePoint Guest Portal?
Thanks for sharing the recipe 😁
Awesome!
Nice! Needed 18:45
Amazing content🤗
thanks for sharing ❤
His Kevin, I really like your tutorials they are so helpful. In share point I have "teams" that are outside my organisation so they are guests. I would also like these teams to have access to a main site but without being able to see who other members are. Is there a way to do this? I thought if anyone knows it would be you!
Great video Kevin, is it possible to stop requests to a site that is not published?
Hi Kevin,
Awesome video, thanks for sharing.
I have 2 questions please!
Could you help me learn how do you lock specific columns in sharepoint list so that users/members cannot make changes to those columns and rows?
Also, if I granted a new permission to a group, how do I remove the original permission (edit, full control or read) granted by sharepoint to a set of group?
Thank you so much
In my public institution I am creating a project to digitize and centrally store all the old and new documents of each person in all the cities in which we have offices, reducing the amount of papers with which we work (Several trees will be saved with this).
At first we hadn't gotten much attention from the big bosses, but since April 2020, with the COVID pandemic this became crazy, and everyone started feeding this project with files and folders.
I was following your Onedrive’s courses, because they are really well explained and I wanted to migrate the folders to Onedrive, trying to restrict permissions and have certain approvals before files or folders are deleted, but after watching this sharepoint course I have big existential doubts: What will be better for this project?Onedrive or sharepoint?
Thanks Kevin for the informative video.
Could you please make a video covering files and folders migration from on prem file server (DFS) to Sharepoint Online?
Kevin, can you tell how to make outro (the one you use in your videos) ?
Hi Kevin, it’s amazing video, I would like to ask u if it possible to set up share point access to make for example 3 person to have access to home page and the same time personal access to their document folder? And don’t see others..
Good explaination
Hi Kevin, Could you please tell how we can share a file/folder with a huge list of users in sharepoint at one go?
thank you so much
i really love ur video good job bro, btw where i can buy the kevin cookies ??
Thanks for sharing
More Access in depth tutorial please :D
Nice video! Is it possible to limit the download for visitors and members in a library?
Hi! Is there a way you can restrict a set of permissions, for a specific group, which prevents people in that group from being able to share a link to a file or folder/document library with someone with an external email address i.e. not the company domain?
Is there an option to disable Inheritance from a parent site/folder as a default from that o365 Organizational admin level?
Some say Power Automate?
Thanks for all the great videos!
Thanks a lot Kevin, it was very helpful Kevin. By the way I have a request for you, can you please teach us how to get and use Adobe Photoshop. Thanks.
Hi Kevin, thanks for this informative session, I have a question on permission levels. I want my team to edit an excel file on SharePoint but not be able to see other members input. For eg. they should enter hiring requests for their countries, but i do not want them to see each other's request.
Is this possible? If i select "Edit" as the permission level but untick "View Items" could this work? Ideally, when they open the excel it should only be their data filled and nobody else's. Please do let me know :)
Hello , Thank for your wonderful manner in explaining i have a question if i have a five companies work together like one company and some companies have branches in different cities i would like to use share point how can i organise the work should i create a website for each company and what about document libray should be in one site or should be there is a document libray for each site? can i make primary site to share all companies files and i can make folder for each company. what about the CEO for all these compaies should have access to all these files and websites? how to organise group?
I will be happy to hear your opinion
Hello Kevin,
Is there a way to grant access to a folder row only if the user's name is present in one of the columns next to it?
Alternatively, I can create a specific view by filter and each member would have a specific view ?
You are my inspiration I also started my RUclips channel
Thanks Kevin for great info. Please help how can I block access to Sharepoint from Teams for users?
Dear Mr. KEVEN
Have we any features in SharePoint to check the logs?who add, edit the item
Plus, the active users in site?
Thanks dear
Great video!!!!Why can't I edit crawled properties even though I have full control in SharePoint site?
Hey Kevin. appreciate the tutorial on the permission via SharePoint. Going a step further, is it possible to allocate permission for each of the worksheet to respective users as per their roles using SharePoint ? All this should happen within the workbook that contains these sheets.
I made a screenshot of the recipe at the end of the video, I will share it in a RUclips video soon
Hi Kevin.
Can you tell us about Site Collection Health Check? For instance a site is built by someone years ago but they've left. It has lots of broken links and I want to assess what's broken but also set it up to be able to detect broken links quickly going forward. Is this something covered in the health check?
Thanks, I would love a video on How to create a form that people inside my company but external to sharepoint can update a form to place a work request.
