  • @joelpalmer

Heres a tip for the SAAB. You have hundreds of rock chips especially on the leading edge of the hood. Get black touch up paint and use a wood toothpick to drop a microdot of paint in each chip. This would ideally be done before polishing. Once done and polished the chips will disappear unless you're two feet away.

One thing to note with ignition coil.
The coil part, that is lower part of pack is filled with oil, to prevent overheating. If you turn coil pack upside down, let it sit 30min after installation, so the oil will drip back from the electronics of upper part. Or just dont turn it upside down.

My dad actually has a Saab. A 1995 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible (NG) which is in an almost perfect condition. He will soon repair the rust on the inside of the boot and then it will be just like new again. But, overall there is literally no rust on the outside. He actually also have had a Saab 9-3, Saab 9-5, my grandpa has had a Saab 9000. And that we have books about Saabs. The Saab book from 1987 about the planes and the cars, how to take care of a Saab 9-3 and a 900.

JR, keep the Saab, it and the white Suzuki can be the ambassadors of your channel. Both of them are very unique cars, they didn't sell in huge numbers new and of course they no longer make any Saabs or Suzuki cars/trucks. You're handy with a wrench and have no problem sourcing parts, make these your two "drivers", maybe sell that Volt for a decent pickup truck, Suburban, something with some towing capacity.
