I’m also not talking about repeated words like they’re back to back in the same sentence. I’m talking about repeated words in a paragraph, or depending on the word, a page. There are so many words in our language that you can differentiate. One of the best way you can do this is by reading your manuscript out loud. The repeated words highlight themselves. Sometimes repeated words can have a metrical quality, or they can be used for emphasis, as in the first chapter of Genesis, or as in MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech.
