Weeby Newz Actually, I think Kaito represents truth and Kokichi represents lies whiles Shuichi is the middle ground. Shuichi is the first protagonist Danganronpa has that can actually lie in the class trials. While Makoto and Hajime were more focused on sifting through the lies to find the One Truth (AKA the culprit), Shuichi utilizes lies as a tool to help find the truth, which is something I feel like he have picked up from Kaede. If he were a Defense Attorney his lies would be called Bluffs, ya know?

The reason Himiko recognized the fact that Monotaro's death flags were waving is probably because the speech he was giving was similar to Tenko's before Kiyo murdered her, or at least that's what I believe.

I would say that Shuichi is actually the middle ground in the Shuichi/Kaito/Kokichi dynamic. While it's true that Shuichi and Kokichi parallel each other with the whole 'truth/lies' theme they represent, in this case we are presented with the truth in a more 'open' way: to belief or to distrust. Obviously Kaito and Kokichi would represent these ideals: Kaito is someone that believes in his friends no matter what, and despite even evidence pointing at them he tries to remain true to himself and still trust them until proven wrong. His method to Shuichi represent achieving the truth by believing in someone and be honest to yourself and the others, like what happened back in the 2nd trial with Maki. Kokichi, on the other hand, follows the path of distrust, where he doesn't want to trust anyone because of the potential threat that may arrive and is skeptical of everyone's relationships because he doesn't trust on them. His method to Shuichi represent the most 'logical' but kinda exaggerated apporach, which is following where the evidence leads and push towards it, even if you have to lie to get the job done.

People who likes the characters strongly and their personalities see themselves liking more kaito,since he chooses trust rather than logic . and maybe disliking kokichi for its cold atitude during the trial.
People more inclined to side with logic more than trust,tend to like kokichi more than kaito,since they wouldnt like kaito's speech about trust and friends(I already saw People annoyed to it,i really cant see why,im mean its way better than nagito's speech about hope all the damn time).
While I really like the differences of approach of kaito and kokichi . it comes with annoying concequences. They both get a good amount of hate due to their atitude of suport to shuichi. While People say kaito is annoying and should back off,People are saying too to kokichi to suck a d*ck and get tied up like nagito due to his doucheness . A good ammount of hate that NEITHER of them should recieve.
I really liked the way kodaka made it this way,to see how Black and white People can be and how the protagonist have to balance out between both of them.

I know, right? Why doesn't anybody go for Shuichi? He is the biggest threat here. After him only Ouma and Keeboy would be the only threat, but they aren't the Ultimate Detective.

- Keebo's recording function is a potential problem, but only if he happens to be nearby.
- With how convoluted the plans and subtle webs of manipulation spun in these games get I don't doubt for one second that any killer worth their Danganronpa salt could get Gonta or Maki _easy_ if they wanted to. No one after them's going to be challenging them directly, there'll be some exceedingly complex trickery or other in place to ensnare them.
- Shuichi is the biggest threat to a culprit; after him comes Oma, who too often turns out to know more than he lets on. Everyone else would make dim lighting for a cubicle.
Keeboy is a robot, for one thing. He can do things that normal humans can't. And he is one of the smartest characters in this game and always goes for what is logical. Him, Shuichi and Ouma are the smartest characters who are still alive.
Chronyx Ryoma is definitely smarter and more experience than Tenko, so I would put him above her. Keeboy is generally smarter than Maki, except when it comes to killing, and can be more useful, except to kill. Plus, Maki has been becoming more emotional and mostly agrees with Kaito and disagrees with Ouma no matter what. Also think Kirumi has more knowledge than both Keeboy and Maki. Kirumi had been given different jobs, including leading a country.
After chapter 3, circumstances actually protect Shuichi. I won't elaborate on them since I don't want to spoil anything. Chapter 3's circumstance was that Kiyo was killing girls.

The reason why she targeted Ouma instead of Saihara? That's because she believed him to be more dangerous in the class trial! I mean, Miu was probably one of few people, who could understand, how valuable and smart Ouma has been during them.

I didn't notice before because even though Kokichi is an important character he didn't have central focus but the symbol in his eyes of that one sprite looks similar to the symbols in the eyes of the Arbiters in Death Parade, which is ironic because an Arbiter's job is to figure out who is worthy of being reincarnated and who should be condemned to the void. And speaking of his eyes they, along with the tips of his hair, are a nice purple color which is associated with royalty and wealth. The color itself could be a reference to his supposed talent, you know "The Ultimate Supreme Leader". (Although, I wouldn't be surprised if his real talent is the Ultimate Figurehead considering how often he lies.)

I know how you feel! I can't see Shuichi with anyone but Kaede! Just like I can only see Maki and Kaito together. If I even hear anything different, I get this itch.

I didn't exactly know who I liked more, so I ended up shipping Kaede × Shuichi × Kaito × Maki. The trick to it is that I can only really ship a ship that's either completely dead (Mondo x Ishimaru) or completely alive (Naegi x Kirigiri). The main reason for that is because I find it really depressing if, even once the survivors get out, they're forever hung up on someone that died in the killing game. I feel like I want them to move on, with their crush forever in their memory. So right now, I ship Shuichi x Maki x Kaito, but I have a strong feeling that it's only going to be Shuichi x Maki in the end.
I always get the itch... the itch coming from a dry throat because I only ship rarepairs and it makes me a thirsty hoe stuck in a desert.

I always saw the 4th cases as cases of sacrifice in order to protect.
Actually, she probably wanted to kill Ouma cause he IS the smartest one. Why? As long as Saihara solves all the cases, is a detective and pretty damn intelligent, Ouma solves them first. Which is by the way ridiculous that every unnatural thing he knew that he should not was explained by: oh, he is very smart! Of course!
So Miu probably figured if she killed Ouma there would be less testimonies and clues (Ouma find a lot of those actually by himself) so it was the most logic thing. I mean - heey? He even foreshadows and predicts deaths! ( look previous ep if you don’t get it ) and is kinda like a lie detector in a sense. Killing Shuichi is pointless if Ouma was alive.

To be fair, killing Kokichi wouldn't be a bad idea, whenever Saihara gets stuck or can't keep moving forward on the trials, Kokichi would do something to change his point of view, it was either him or somebody else, but most frequently him, he may be a pain, but his way of thinking is eccentric enough to work sometimes
I finished this class trial yesterday, I’ve just started chapter 5 it’s interesting, way batter than both first and second game 4th trials. I felt it moved quick. That’s probably because I’ve been so addicted to this game and I’m not pacing myself with when I should finish these segments. In fact, I stopped in the middle of the 5th class trial because I wanted to see this video.

Just a a theory but Miu was probably strangled in the virtual world, and after Saihara logged out Oma said he would do anything to get people to like him, even strangle them, so maybe he strangled Miu because he was upset she chose to kill him
Then that means it couldntve been ouma because touching her would paralyze him because of contact
I just wanna say in the before scene with Miu and Kiibo I would grab something on the floor a tool or something in Miu's lab and I would save it. then when Monotaro was crying because of Miu I would have said "I guess you can call Kiibo a mother******" because Monokuma and cuss words were relevant. and I would hand Kiibo the tool I picked up on the floor and run to my room laughing. I HOPE that that makes sense.
Boy, I sure hope it isn't Kaito, but that slip up he just did was way worse and easier to spot than Celestia's or Mondo's.

Yay, i was waiting for this ^.^ My night is already better 😂I hope you try to lie when you can, it's just extra scenes that are usually funny :3 but it's probably hard to tell when you can lie because the music change isn't that noticable (at least i felt like it in the previous trials)

Okay so my theory about this for now is that Miu accidentally killed herself, the wall she added is the black wall going between the chapel and the mansion, that the maps pieces should be the other way around by the loading screen. She was planning on killing Kokichi but maybe she chickened out? And locked the door to stop him from coming to the roof, then she opened it after she was sure he gave up. Then, thinking that having a nonhuman status in the simulator she couldn't be killed, she tried to use the roof to get herself back to the chapel without going through the mansion and risking being seen. She used the lattice or whatever as a sled to get more speed, and she then flew from the roof all the way to the chapel and she died crashing into the wall. Maybe the shock the real body experiences is different from the avatar, so even though her death as an avatar would've been quite quick probably, the real body was going through something much worse. Tsumugi and Shuichi heard the crash and Keebo's voice because the distance between them isn't as great as they thought, and that wall let's through nonhuman things which would also include sound?
Does anyone else notice that the big computer in the middle of the computer room is an “X” Box?
