Refreshing a Local Icon Into Clean, Green Housing at Bank Lofts

Developers Faith Gay and Francesca Zambello fell in love with the historic town of Richfield Springs, New York for the local beauty and community. But when they realized that community was suffering from a lack of serious lack of affordable housing. Faith and Francesca decided they would contribute by transforming one of the town's most iconic local landmarks into a hub of housing for the next generation of townspeople.
With the support of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), they took the vacant Bank Lofts building and transformed it into a clean and healthy Passive House retrofit that is as resilient as the people of Richfield Springs.
