    This is the first baby blanket I have crochet'd and I loved it! It worked up easy. The baby I made it for came 3 weeks early, and I liked the edges of the blanket without the border, so I gave it to my friend's new baby without the border. It is a lot larger than I thought (I will look more closely at the completed measurements next time). I finished the border on my swatch so I could learn how to do it. Your video tutorials are very thorough and I really enjoyed making this and look forward to doing it again - with the cute border. Thank you!

    I’m about 1/3 of the way done and after working with Bernat Baby Sport a lot lately, I’m surprised at how soft this is! And with a 5mm hook, it’s thick and “sturdy”. After washing it will definitely loosen up. I look forward to seeing it finished.

      Are you using Pound of Love? I find there's a difference between colors but I loved the Antique White (and also the purple I used in my Hearts Puff Stitch blanket). They were both so buttery smooth and great to work with and I didn't find it too stiff or heavy. I look forward to hearing about your finished blanket!

    I love this pattern…one row repeats are the best! However, instead of one turning chain, I put two. One just didn’t seem like enough…it pulled inward at the end of each row. Two stitches at the end when turning gives it a nicer edge I find.

    This is such a beautiful blanket! I wad wondering, do you think it would work up as nicely with cotton yarn? Or would you recommend acrylic over cotton?

    • @jototheworldcreations
      @jototheworldcreations  Год назад

      Hello! I used 100% acrylic for this blanket. I really wish I could comment on the end result using cotton but unfortunately, I’ve only made it with acrylic. It may be absolutely lovely with cotton or it may be a little different. I wish I could help more but it’s hard to say without making it with that type of yarn. If there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know. Thanks again for your interest in this blanket!

    Hello Jo! The pattern is lovely! I haven't crocheted in years and would like to make a baby blanket for my daughter. I mistakenly bought baby yarn ( 5 ply sport) with 3 mm hook size recommended. I have a 3.75mm (F) hook and one that is a touch smaller but the numbers are illegible. I can't return the yarn and am wondering what you would recommend?

    • @jototheworldcreations
      @jototheworldcreations  Год назад +1

      Hi Jonelle! Thank you so much. I haven't tested this pattern using your yarn and hook size so I can't say for sure but that combination might actually work out beautifully! Why not give it a try and see how you like it :) I'd love to know how you make out.

    Jo, I'd like to make this blanked for a double bed. Can you guide me on how I'd adapt this tutorial?

    • @jototheworldcreations
      @jototheworldcreations  Месяц назад +1

      Hello! You can adjust the width by making more or less starting chains in multiples of 4 + 3 (meaning to take any number that you can divide by 4 and add 3 to that number). To adjust the height, make less or more rows.
      I really wish I could help and tell you exactly how many chains you will need to make the blanket in the size you would like but I’ve only designed, made and tested this blanket to be the size that’s listed in the pattern and I wouldn’t want to give you in accurate information.
      For reference, making 127 starting chains creates a blanket that is approx. 33” without the border and 36” with the border. Hope this helps!
