I've knit three swatches using this delightful pattern stitch. I can tell everyone this for sure: you need the right kind of yarn to get a full effect of this pattern stitch. None of my swatches look as nice as hers. 😢 I haven't given up. Still in the trial and error phase.
For anyone like me, you might want to watch Row 5 over and over and over. 😊 Row 5 begins at TimeStamp 6:05. So all you need to do is scroll over to 6:05 Timestamp, using your finger on touch screen, or your cursor on a PC. I needed to re-watch the detail on knitting the M1 inc. Knitting through the front leg, or back leg? When she picks up those two strands, she doesn’t use the left needle to knit them. She ONLY USES THE RIGHT NEEDLE. She lifts the two strands up onto the right needle, wraps the yarn coming from the ball, and tucks down to knit it. I also needed to re-watch the edge sts. So here is the slip st edges: on the very first Row 1 (after cast on) only, she knit the first st (didn’t slip it) and at the end, k1. But on subsequent RS Rows 1, 3 and 5, you slip the 1st st knitwise, and k1 at the end of the row. On Rows 2, 4 and 6: you slip the 1st stitch purlwise, and p1 at the end of the row.
