Vatia's Performance for American Samoa Flag Day in 1988. I was a sophomore in high school and was lucky to be a part of this historic event. High Talking Chief Masaniai Te'e begins with the traditional opening speech. Leading the dance is Chief Maea (Pili Gaoteote) and on the drums are Chief Tuigago, Peteri Gaoteote, and others. Leading the song (fa'aluma) is Talking Chief Lauti Pouono. My grandfather, the late High Chief Patea Siafono, taught most of the songs, along with a few others who contributed.
