    last time I was wondering if we'd have a long reading episode or if we'd get to see him raiding all that loot. This man just decided to give us both.
    What a classy fellow

    Watching these past two episodes really explains how you need to stock up on trunks at your base camp for all the books and loot you can find in the Archive!!

    I think the most frustrating thing about this new story event is that it looks so cool and has such interesting blocks and no way to build with them in survival.

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  Год назад +2

      It looks like at least SOME of these blocks are going to make their way to survival, but not all of them. The ruins are being revamped for 1.19 and look like they'll be using the new "aged" stone textures. But yeah, the cool bookshelves and such... no idea.

  • @pamelawild4390

    No words about the thing in the middle? I looked at it in creative and it does actually have a name too. If you look at it from different angles you can make out its shape in front of the lights too.

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  11 месяцев назад +2

      Since this game is pure survival, and there's no ability to build in the Resonance Archive, I didn't do a creative flyby, though I HAVE seen it in creative in another world. It's pretty wild!

    • @Dark__Thoughts
      @Dark__Thoughts 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@Kurazarrh You can see the general shape in survival from the various platforms, including the spikes, similar to the resonator and some of the other gear.
      Makes me wonder how exactly their tech worked and what the purpose of that giant echo chamber was.
      The notes on the resonator in the library stated that the cylinders don't actually work as a storage device for the actual recordings, but sort of as a map for it to find the echoes of those talks still resonating within the room. I feel this is probably related to the repeating room patterns too when whatever happened did happen there as well.

      :D Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. I've since explored that big thing in the center in creative mode... I think it's a giant resonator. It has the same "spines" that the smaller ones have!

    As the days go by, I will say it again... Vintage Story just gets better and better.
    Heck the most recent Dejank update adds much asked for improvements and additions.
    Such as a "last selection" button in character customization. *You can easily keep the same character design in EVERY save*
    Removing the infernal Texture alias limitation, so mods can now no longer fear the amount of textures in their mods.
    Oh and Mini Dimensions and Dimension support in general, the former allowing promise of multiblock VEHICLES ala Create Mod, while the later...
    Just as you'd think, the framework to add custom WORLDS aside from the main world. Like the nether, etc. No worldgen support yet, but modders could find a way with this.

    #20Kuestions
    Now that I think about it... There's at least two areas in the Resonance Archive with repetition of the map in a weird way. What if they weren't generation bugs, what if those are lore-related? Was there some sort of space-time distortion happening in there in any lore book, or even in the deeper older lore of the game?

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  Год назад +3

      Hey Leon Oliviera! Thanks for your question, but since this has been answered for me in the comments of this video and the previous ones, I'm going to respond here--it turns out that those generation "errors" are not glitches and are in fact part of the lore. But I think the game needs to allude to that more to make it clear that that's why these areas look glitchy.

    can't really see from the recording ,but the seeds you found in there, were any of them interesting or just...turnips and stuff? it feels like there should be at least one set of some RARE seed only gotten from there! like how pumpkin seeds are only lootable.

    Eh, when you watch an already completed walkthrough, then it's all there and you can watch all the episodes in a row, but when you watch during the release of the series, you can communicate with the author in real time. Hard choice, which format is better, ahahahph

    Oof, this episode shows me why i dont like audiobooks. It was sadly really hard for me to focus on and hear the stories. I have ADHD and it really makes it difficult to process audio, especially with long story formats. Combine this with English not being my native language, and i only picked up around a third of the stories.
    Would have loved to see the stories on the side of the screen while exploring, or showing the stories at the end so i could pause and read it for myself. (Also, subtitles being auto generated was no help either.)
    I did enjoy your storytelling though, that was marvelous. Just wished i could have read along to it.

    • @Kurazarrh
      @Kurazarrh  11 месяцев назад +1

      I'll have to think about how to handle that in the future. Probably just having the text up on the screen is probably the best option, because doing subtitles is extremely time-consuming! Thanks for the feedback! :)

  • @RoseRitonya
    @RoseRitonya 9 месяцев назад +1

    Oof. Okay. I have audio processing disorder, and due to the way it works, automatic captions (with poor punctuation and misinterpretation of what is actually being said) really don't help me. I'm gonna have to skip this one and go look up the lore entries on my own time, I think. Cool of you to dedicate a whole episode to this, though.

    • @Kurazarrh
