My issue with Wesley's performance yesterday was that we saw him pushing up in line with our forwards at times. And that left a really big gap at the back. A few minutes before their first goal, he went on one of those presses *way* up the pitch (iirc, he was up kinda by Nkunku and Mudryk), they broke the press, Reece was still in the midfield and had to drop to fill into that massive space left by Wes. Reece tracked back and deflected a cross that Colwill was then able to clear away. I know it's still preseason. And I really do rate Wes highly. And maybe Wes has been given license to press like that. Maybe Reece or Lavia was supposed to drop into the back line and shift to fill that space. I don't know what the tactical intricacies that Maresca has instructed the squad on entail. So what I just mentioned could be not-Wesley's fault. But it was definitely worrying to see yesterday.

No one should take preseason seriously. We were unbeaten last season - then were decimated by injuries. Let’s just wait for our best five players (Palmer et al) to come back and get fit.
I'd rather judge performances individually rather than the team as a whole, because players like Fofana and Lavia missed most of last season, of course they weren't match fit
The scouts & directors brought in a coach that plays a system that is not suited for the players they bought! We have amazing no 10s & the best full backs in the world. Yet we have a coach that want to completely eliminate those two positions & put our best players on the bench! IT IS CONCERNING!!!
Yeah. Last year Pochettino took over a bunch of players and turned them into a winning team playing exciting football in pre-season. Then it all turned to shit. This time we are starting with a collection of talented players who don’t seem to recognise their team-mates and it's only a few weeks until the start of the PL. As a Chelsea fan since the days of Tommy Docherty, I can tell you that a good pre-season is a good start, but doesn’t guarantee a good season, but a bad pre-season almost never does - most recently under Thomas Tuchel.
My angst with some of our players is that they’ll usually play somewhat better if they’re sold but cannot take same chances when still playing for Chelsea?
Played two teams that are at the end of there pre seasons. At this stage in pre season it’s all about getting fitness up and starting to develop the new system. Your correct. People need to chill lol
It being pre-season is a cop out. We have CIty in our first game and need to be top of our game. What I saw yesterday was painful. 3 at the back with no fullbacks leaves us wide open for quick attacks down the wing. We offered noting in attack while sacrificing our defence. The basics must be solid first before anything else. We didn't even get basics right. I don't see where our other players will fit into this system -- where's Enzo, DBH, Caicedo going to play? Enzo needs to play deep, but we need a DM, and will have an "inverted fb" (so basically a DM) So Enzo will be pushed up out of place because James is out of place, then we need 2 wingers, which leaves the 2 number 8's (Palmer, Nkunku, Enzo, DBH, Carney) so some big players will need to be dropped. I hate what I'm seeing -- we had a system that was working and let players play in their best and most suited positions and now we have the opposite -- a system that isnt working and has players playing out of their best and most suited positions. Square one again. At this rate Maresca will be gone in 6 months.
The refusal to bring in experienced players to aid in the youngsters development is part of this dismal era. That is down to the ownership & their relentless quest for profit. How long will CFC fans pay inflated tkt prices to watch this drivel.....
@@nicholasmcculloch727 I agree there should be a balance. Every 3-4 South American teenagers that go on loan to be sold equals a Diogo Costa, Alverez, Osimhen, or an Olise. We need CL football for the CL money, and all the teenagers in world won't help with that right now.
After watching the last game, I don't think Chelsea needs a striker. Sanches, the keeper can handle this position as well as he is playing as midfielder can move forward a little more.
I agree with you about pre season. However the performance as a whole was worrying. Also Man City did lose but they wasn’t smashed out of sight. Yday could have been 9-1

i laughed with a mate as we watched the wrexham match and watching guiu, I said and I quote "fek, he's like the love child of diego costa". It wouldnt surprise me to see jackson switching to left wing and guiu as a solid 9 with nkunku and palmer dropped behind guiu and noni on the right - but.... we'll see...
It's better to discover team weakness in pre season and work on it than to will the whole pre season matches and struggle during when the season starts.
we havent even got all our players back and this is our 2nd game under marresca players still trying to learn his style of play i think the game vs celtic was a good one for preparation for the new season playing a team who has only a week remaining till they kick start there season you can see the difference in sharpness and fitness and we know where we need to be come the start of the season aslong as the players continue to work hard and take in the gaffas ideas then we can judge its hard to judge during preseason you only get a brief idea during the last two games of preseason whats to come
Preseason is for the opportunity to see how the new players perform. i wouldn't get worked up from a preseason i just want the players to get used to the system and avoid injuries
Drove 9+ hours in total to and from the match on Saturday. Definitely didn't want to do all of that to watch essentially a 4-0 battering, but people need to remember that the players are still trying to figure out this new system. I wasn't surprised to see the MASSIVE gap between Fofana and Badiashile on the SofaScore avg. position graphic from yesterday's video. That was very apparent in person at the match and we kept calling it out as Badiashile would lose track of their striker 20 seconds before a tap-in goal. Would also like to point out, and I'm not sure if it came across on the broadcast, but the boys looked absolutely EXHAUSTED after about 20 min. There was an obvious difference in conditioning between the two sides, but if you add that to the tactical miscommunications that were all over the place, it's no wonder the score line was what it was. Hoping for a better result against City as I'm travelling to Columbus for that match this weekend! COYB!
it is just the pre season .We have a few weeks to get up to speed .I think we have a good bunch lets wait .This season we could start with a defence .This did not happen till March last season .
I genuinely can’t comprehend what you see in Fofana at this time. I think he’s been directly at fault or at least joint culpable for a goal every game he’s played for us. I haven’t seen a good performance yet. At Leicester he was incredible of course but it was one season FOUR years ago.
I fully understand that it's pre-season and we only in the beginning of that but I just don't see Any benefit of playing this inverted System that leaves our defense and midfield so Exposed in transition !! Maresca might have to change his System to suit the Player's he has .. Play a System that suits the Squad, that's the sign of a Great Manager !! Let's see
Poch wouldn’t have signed guiu 😂 poch left because of the enzo/caicedo midfield drama. Owners want us to play a certain way. Poch wanted to play another. Didn’t work out
Sanchez had many excellent saves and passes, it would have been 7 or 8 without him. Even the goal he “gave away” badi should have easily dealt with the ball
Fofana is nowhere near as good as you suggest, Yan. At the very best, he's average, but I've seen poor performances from him more than good ones. Leicester pulled our pants down on him.
As a US-based Chelsea fan, I don’t get to see the team play live during the competitive season. So, while I understand the nuances of preseason games, it was disappointing to watch such a lackluster performance yesterday. Fans like me pay good money and show up with high hopes; We expect the team to at least put forth a solid effort, regardless of the stakes. My pride in Chelsea took a hit yesterday and there was no excuse for such an embarrassing defeat.
You have every right to feel grieved. These games abroad used to be called ‘exhibition matches’ where fans could get to see their heroes. So many of these fixtures are now just ‘practice matches’ where you rarely see the top players as they invariably have just finished playing in international tournaments. The games are overhyped.
I don't have an issue with you, Yan. But don't ever tell me to calm down when talking about the absolutely shocking state of our club. This is not Chelsea. Accepting it will just further divide the fanbase.
People really expect us to play like prime Barca and we've only been with Maresca for a few weeks. Pay no attention to anything people say on twitter because they're a bunch of kids who know nothing. Football like this takes time to implement. I would rather defeats like this to happen now in preseason rather than the actual season
Maresca is not using the individual best skills of the players to the team's advantage. I understand style and tactic but this inverted right back is bad for us.
Marc Guiu would possibly play better once placed with Chelsea’s better players that aren’t in the US due to a long break. So hopefully we can do better. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Please Yann, let ur boi Fofana settle for the Bench... He is way off speed & fitness.... Like Badashile he isn't in Sync with other defenders communicating.... Please they should start playing Levi Colwill as his LCB role not LB please..... It disheartening seeing Badashile
@@1607Adi_ManzThe fact that you don't think so is equally crazy. Do you know how many chance creations were due simply to his movement and pace? Jackson is definitely no Haaland but his hold up play, off shoulder runs, dribbles and constant attacking threat made defenses sit back. He was always a handful for any defender he played against. 15 open play goals and great link up play in the front line all while learning a position. This was in his first full season as a striker, in a different league, different language, and with no experience on how to finish chances. He's a 22 year old kid and he will only get better.
Yan, TBF we are a shambles pretending we are something other than a shambles. 2 pre-season games under a new coach, new tactics, new players is bound to take time to gel. As for Celtic, they've already beaten City so far in pre-season games, so good for them. I'm more concerned about game 1 in the PL once it kicks off.
The frustration must be that for the money we have blown away we could have bought 11 world class players and a team immediately capable of challenging for the PREM. Instead we’ve bought 50 average players, hoping that some get better. Let’s be honest, so far the only top buy is Palmer. No one else is at the right level. Why on earth have we bought D FOFANA, WASHINGTON, MUDRYK, just to name a few ? So much money is wasted on maybe players that the overall strategy is not cost effective. Buying 10 players, hoping that one might be good is not only costing big money but it’s putting success on hold long term. Hard to see us winning anything in the next three years and maybe a lot longer. Maybe Palmer is sold for 150m soon too. More selling to cover up for huge waste elsewhere and lack of success
We are going to lose a lot of assists with our full backs playing in midfield instead of over or under lapping the wingers, we need to sort out the high defensive line and off the ball pressing and tracking back I suppose that will come when the fitness levels improve
Still not sold on Benoît Badiashile, or Mykhailo Mudryk and Robert Sanchez staying. All 3 should be sold or loaned out. Definitely not staters for the team.
Fofana only know how u spot racism but he does not know how to play football. He is one of the worst defenders in prem . They should sell him asap. He offers us nothing but injuries
Exactly 💯 he couldn't detect the free Celtic attackers directly in front of him but can detect a racism & hard to forgive... Lol, Yan seems bew*tched by Fofana
Our two defenders were poor on the day namely Fofana n Badiashille so i suggest Fofana fitness level is not yet up there so he shouldn't be a starter but allowing him to come back gradually,. As for Badiashille after his injury he's not yet up to the top level i therefore suggest that they should send him out on loan to Strasbourg for further development so that they can go back to sign the Brazilian Nottingham Forest defender as a backup to Levi Colwill becos we need a strong n quality squad not just the nimbers but quality n depths in the squad so that they can qualify into the top four n start winning trophies for us
Sanchez sucks at distribution, yes, but he had a lot to do this game because of shitty defence. The defence was bad because Carney and Noni couldn't keep the ball and kept giving it away. Badiashile also is not a lone CB because he does not have the passing, the mentality or the composure to keep the ball and be relaxed. They do not suit the positional football.
I hope marescas ego doesn't get in the way of building off the way chelsea ended last season. He should use that 11 as a blueprint for next season we only need tweaks not wholesale changes.
everyone freaking out.. its preseason half those players wont see the field Nkunku looks good and Reece can't play inverted those are important takeaways
I hear you Yan and others with that view, but; it’s symptomatic of yet another reset. No way the new management, style and team will hit the ground running mid August. Let’s see…
I’m sorry mate, but your love affair with Wesley Fofana will end very badly by the middle of the coming season - if he stays fit. He may be regarded as a “wonderful” footballer but he is a dodgy defender. FFS just look at the goals conceded by Chelsea when he was playing. Frequently beaten in the air at the far post to concede a goal, and beaten on the ground to concede goals too. Chelsea fans have prejudices, favourable or otherwise, but managers of opposing teams KNOW where to attack our weaknesses - Get Fofana isolated defending the far post then just sling the ball over there and let our guys beat him to score. He can’t defend the far post, just the same as Colwill on the other side. Chelsea don’t have a Centre Back worth shit apart from Chalobah, who we seem determined to sell. It took Pochettino most of his only season with Chelsea to finally accept that Colwill is NOT a Left Back and to stop playing him as such. It appears that Maresca didn’t watch any of those games but the Celtic players knew that, before we started, and scored twice in 30 minutes from attacks down our non-existent left defence. Apparently Maresca has Ben Chillwell training with the wingers. I don’t know if that’s true, but I really hope not. Again, Pochettino took a while to learn that Chilwell in NOT a winger. He’s a very good Left Back, or Left Wing Back but not a winger. How many times do new Chelsea managers think that they are tactical geniuses, and play excellent players out of position, only to make them look crap? Colwill as LB? Our marauding Right Back Reece James stuck into midfield, neither attacking nor defending? (and please don’t give me shit about “inverted full-backs”. James played as a midfielder, not an inverted anything). Fofana anywhere on the field, with Sanchez screaming at him like a pantomime villain “He’s behind you” before Celtic’s second goal.. I won’t say anything about Badiashile. Chelsea have turned him into a shambling wreck of a player - in a competition with Sanchez to see who can gift the opposition more goals in a single match. I don’t like anything I know about Maresca, or his favoured style of play - boring possession-based, side-to-side passing? I’ve had it with that Sh@t. The only positive I can see about the coming season is that our co-Directors of Football, Stewart and Winstanley, are now OWNED by Maresca. If he fails (and I pray that he doesn’t) the Owners should fire THEM along with their choice of Maresca over Pochettino. Even if Chelsea should win any of our remaining pre-season games, I have zero optimism about our chances of a top 4, or even top 6, possibly a top 10 finish - and no European Football in 2025-2026 - Unless there is a HUGE improvement over the dross we saw against Celtic. The pressure is already building on Maresca, and if we lose our first game at Stamford Bridge …???
he isn't Chelsea level. neither are Noni or Badiashile. i don't want to judge too hard considering it's only preseason but i've never rated these guys honestly.
I appreciate the balance view mate. Social media is a cesspool at the best of time. However, you have to also acknowledge that we look bad. It’s not only preseason , we have a new system and we don’t look like we understand it. Will we in time to play City in 3 weeks? The same players that we worried about last season look shaky still. Is Sanchez going to level up in 3 weeks? Will Mudryk learn how to actually play football? My concern is that as bad as last season was, this season could be a repeat. Growing pains and not putting it together until it’s too late. Can we afford to miss Champions League again?
I didn't think Fofana was all that bad. BB is the one that concerns me. Rather have LC at LCB which hopefully happens when MC comes back. My main concern is wasting James best talents when he inverts. When James runs free down the right, good things happens.
Maresca is repeating the same mistakes Pochettino made earlier on by using Colwil at left back, Sanchez in goal post, dropping Chalobah for Badiashile.
The reason to be concerned is, the poor results have to do in large part with players trying to learn a new system. They don’t know the system well enough to be able to handle their responsibilities naturally, without thinking. They are slow because they’re thinking. Add in new players and old players learning new positions and you get whacked by Celtic or any other team that KNOWS their system and doesn’t have to think. In one-on-one situations, our players can loose their aggression and energy. Madueke is the best example. He is doing things on the wing that he knows he can do. But it’s all uncoordinated right now. Don’t blame the players for a seeming lack of aggression overall because it’s due to them still learning a new system (for what, the 3rd or 4th time in 2 seasons? Madness).
The players are fine. Making this about the players is wrong. The question is whether the system is going to take advantage of the players? In my mind, that's by and large the only question that matters at this point, because everything else depends on this. If the system doesn't fully utilize the players we have then we're not going to win enough games for top 4. And the issue is, nothing so far indicates (to me, anyway) that Maresca has developed a system to take advantage of the players. Nothing indicates that he's even going to consider tweaking his system to take advantage of the players. We know Cole Palmer and Nkunku are both extremely good number 10 type players. What they're not, however, are midfielders. They're not number 8's. They're never going to be number 8's. The idea of trying to use them as number 8's is frankly ridiculous. Likewise, trying to use them as outside wingers with chalk on their boots is blatantly ridiculous. They "can do a job" but are they world class wingers? Simple answer, no, they're not. And by using them as sub-par wingers, we then don't have world class number 10's. Now look at how many midfielders are in Maresca's system. Count them. There are three in total, including the two "attacking 8's". If we use midfielders in the 8's, they'll be the sharp end of our forward 5, which is bad. If we use our world class number 10's then we have a total of one actual midfielder on the pitch. The short version, we have a wealth of very talented midfielders and number 10's, and we have possibly the two best right fullbacks in the league. And looking at the system, ignoring all performance observations from the friendlies, just looking at the system... Are we using any of this? Or are we discarding this competitive advantage? PS What's with creators trying to hand-wave issues away, talking about all those players that aren't in the team yet when you literally can't fit all of them into the team without playing a bunch out of position? There's still only room for 3 midfielder types and two of those are 8/10-hybrids that have to be both.
Well Said ! Wasting our best Talents to shoe horn a System is Ridiculous .. play our best player's in their best Positions and we could have a great season with a better back up striker in Marc , a better keeper coming In shortly and a fit Reece , Fofana etc !! Maresca is going to be his own worst Enemy with this Ridiculous system ...
How did Schmeichel end up at Celtic? Yeah, he’s 37, but he can still make great saves. Sanchez made a couple good saves as well, but also did stupid 💩like kicking a clearance pass directly into Badiashile. Celtic is a well coached team, as evidenced by their victory over City. They are also ready for their season which starts next week, so well ahead of us in terms of preparations. Also, many key players are still away from the team. I am not happy, but not panicking… Yet
I know we should "trust the process", especially when Maresca seems to be a type of coach who needs time to implement his tactics into the squad. Having said that, we were in a similar position 18 months ago with Potter and then botched the plan midway through. The board are repeating the same thing with no progress.
As usual the Yan comment section is the only sane one on the internet, the defence issues will be sorted out, first team players will come back in, anyone who treats pre-season as "must win" games is frankly deluded.
I'm not about to panic over the performance of these players learning a brand new system. How Yan gushing over Wesley is becoming laughable. Man was ball-watching well before the injury.

I have always said it and will continue to say it,Noni is Shyte and Bhadiashile oh my Gosh!,he bad
After watching the last game, I don't think Chelsea needs a striker. Sanches, the keeper can handle this position as well as he is playing as midfielder can move forward a little more.
Players didn't know what to do because coach didn't give clear instructions
Spot on Yan, pre season is the time to have all the teething issues. Fans need to chill out, especially on social media.
I agree with you about pre season. However the performance as a whole was worrying. Also Man City did lose but they wasn’t smashed out of sight. Yday could have been 9-1
We had a great Pre-season with Poch and our season was Mid at best. I agree Yan pre-season doesnt man a whole lot.
The scouts & directors brought in a coach that plays a system that is not suited for the players they bought! We have amazing no 10s & the best full backs in the world. Yet we have a coach that want to completely eliminate those two positions & put our best players on the bench! IT IS CONCERNING!!!
i laughed with a mate as we watched the wrexham match and watching guiu, I said and I quote "fek, he's like the love child of diego costa". It wouldnt surprise me to see jackson switching to left wing and guiu as a solid 9 with nkunku and palmer dropped behind guiu and noni on the right - but.... we'll see...
Please stop rating fofana, he has never been top player
Yes he have bro won the Prem with Lester. He just ain't been luck since he been at Chelsea
It's better to discover team weakness in pre season and work on it than to will the whole pre season matches and struggle during when the season starts.
We won pre-season last year because everyone was fit, we struggled during the season because everyone was injured.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maresca using Big Ange tactics
How is he "Big"? He is 5'9" FFS. 😂😂
It's Fat Ange actually.
we havent even got all our players back and this is our 2nd game under marresca players still trying to learn his style of play i think the game vs celtic was a good one for preparation for the new season playing a team who has only a week remaining till they kick start there season you can see the difference in sharpness and fitness and we know where we need to be come the start of the season aslong as the players continue to work hard and take in the gaffas ideas then we can judge its hard to judge during preseason you only get a brief idea during the last two games of preseason whats to come
Preseason is for the opportunity to see how the new players perform. i wouldn't get worked up from a preseason i just want the players to get used to the system and avoid injuries
COYB!
It is criminal having Badiashile in the starting lineups, and Travoh Chalaboh is dropped
It's rather criminal the way you spelled his name
THANK YOU WELL SAID BRO ITS BETTER TO TEST ALL PLAYERS UNLIKE LAST YEAR WINNING EVERY GAME AND POOR THRU OUT THE SEASON
it is just the pre season .We have a few weeks to get up to speed .I think we have a good bunch lets wait .This season we could start with a defence .This did not happen till March last season .
Therapy time 🎉
I genuinely can’t comprehend what you see in Fofana at this time.
Let's see
Poch would have Cooked this Season with Guiu as back up to Jackson and a fully fit Squad !
Look at this mess now 😂😂
Absolutely correct, shame really that we are left with this shit
We went in the league got humiliated by Arsenal and other small teams.
@@jrjr6558 go back and look at the results since Christmas bra'
Poch wouldn’t have signed guiu 😂 poch left because of the enzo/caicedo midfield drama. Owners want us to play a certain way. Poch wanted to play another. Didn’t work out
@@jrjr6558 Couldn't be more wrong, have you ever watched Chelsea play?
Rob Sanchez is not him
Yan you need to stop this Fofana narrative, he forgot how to play football
Sanchez had many excellent saves and passes, it would have been 7 or 8 without him. Even the goal he “gave away” badi should have easily dealt with the ball
Fofana is nowhere near as good as you suggest, Yan. At the very best, he's average, but I've seen poor performances from him more than good ones. Leicester pulled our pants down on him.
Yo what an amazing vid i loved it❤😂
Btw i'm not a bot
Chelsea fans should chill?
yes last pre season we went unbeaten and won that prem cup then ended up playing bad until gameweek 20
Caoimhin Kelleher, prem and champions league experience and 20 million heading into his prime too
I don’t know no one mentioned/ considered Simmons Spain’s gk after the Euros and how he played with his feet
I can’t get too worried until I see how the first few games of the season go.
Marc Guiu would possibly play better once placed with Chelsea’s better players that aren’t in the US due to a long break. So hopefully we can do better. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Last year we won all our pre-season games and had a shambolic season. Let's allow the boys to settle
4231
Reece Tosin Colwil Cucu
Caicedo Enzo
Palmer Nkunku Jackson
Guiu
Perfect
Yes please! That teams loses most weeks.
I know it's pre season, but what was that man?
Please Yann, let ur boi Fofana settle for the Bench... He is way off speed & fitness.... Like Badashile he isn't in Sync with other defenders communicating.... Please they should start playing Levi Colwill as his LCB role not LB please..... It disheartening seeing Badashile
Love a good Spanish CF, happy Sunday Yan !

the fact you think jackson is important is crazy to me
@@1607Adi_Manz 17 goals in forst PL season as 21 year old.

City u21. I mean why everyone is using that example 🤔
@@kevinrotsaert6292It wasn’t though.
@@jamesm9995 please go look again and tell that's a proper City team. Stop acting drunk please.
Really wish the games weren’t so expensive though. Get more fans in these huge football stadiums
Madueke should be sold or loan sterling should be sold asap 😮
We are going to lose a lot of assists with our full backs playing in midfield instead of over or under lapping the wingers, we need to sort out the high defensive line and off the ball pressing and tracking back I suppose that will come when the fitness levels improve
We are gonna be a better team fo sho! I trust in maresca
Trev as to be part of the defensive unit and with the other players coming back, fitness levels up will do much better.
Still not sold on Benoît Badiashile, or Mykhailo Mudryk and Robert Sanchez staying. All 3 should be sold or loaned out. Definitely not staters for the team.
They should focus on the wingers who are not supplying the ball to the main man upfront
If we lose the rest of our pre-season matches and lose against Man City on the opening day of the season we should be worried
Chelsea wins champion league of signing players but actually not knowing what they are doing.
Fofana only know how u spot racism but he does not know how to play football. He is one of the worst defenders in prem . They should sell him asap. He offers us nothing but injuries
God bless you
😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂
Except we want to deceive ourselves, challobah remain our best defender
Marc Guiu feels like a julian alvarez type striker
I was at the Celtic game. We do not have the squad to play out the back like we are trying to. Celtic smothered us
I dunno what Yan sees when he says Fofana can be the best CB “in the world”… right now I would take him just not being injured 😂
he isn't Chelsea level. neither are Noni or Badiashile. i don't want to judge too hard considering it's only preseason but i've never rated these guys honestly.
Hi Yan
I appreciate the balance view mate. Social media is a cesspool at the best of time. However, you have to also acknowledge that we look bad. It’s not only preseason , we have a new system and we don’t look like we understand it. Will we in time to play City in 3 weeks?
The same players that we worried about last season look shaky still. Is Sanchez going to level up in 3 weeks? Will Mudryk learn how to actually play football?
My concern is that as bad as last season was, this season could be a repeat. Growing pains and not putting it together until it’s too late. Can we afford to miss Champions League again?
James isn't the one to play the inverted role. He's slow af on the ball and too lax. He does his best job on the wing. Easy as that.
PS
What's with creators trying to hand-wave issues away, talking about all those players that aren't in the team yet when you literally can't fit all of them into the team without playing a bunch out of position? There's still only room for 3 midfielder types and two of those are 8/10-hybrids that have to be both.
Well Said ! Wasting our best Talents to shoe horn a System is Ridiculous .. play our best player's in their best Positions and we could have a great season with a better back up striker in Marc , a better keeper coming In shortly and a fit Reece , Fofana etc !!
Maresca is going to be his own worst Enemy with this Ridiculous system ...
We can't compare our preseason to City. When the season starts City will turn it on, we can't guarantee that for us. We have to be critical
I am not happy, but not panicking…
Yet
In pre-season Chelsea always lose to MLS teams. It’s about the fitness timing and lineup experimentations.
Thank you we really need to chill
The point is the manager is doing this inversion of the right back thing with RJ and MJ it’s not working atm, hopefully he see that and make a change,
I'm not about to panic over the performance of these players learning a brand new system. How Yan gushing over Wesley is becoming laughable. Man was ball-watching well before the injury.
