Still .... Very proud of my purchase, nearly seven years ago .... I own a 26406FR.00A002CA, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph (QEII, Cup, Hong Kong 2016), Limited Edition, in Pink Gold and Forged Carbon .... Been living in Hong Kong for nearly thirty years, bought it in 2016, from an AP registered dealer here in Central .... Cost me nearly 80,000 U.S. .... Still love it to bits .... Also have an 15710ST.00.A010CA Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver, Limited Edition, in Stainless Steel and Tangerine High-Lights, which I wear daily .... Still looks good seven years later .... Cheers .... N.
Grail is best defined imo as something near impossible to get not just really expensive. Grail defined as expensive just means it’s avail to the 1% and not the rest
Great video! This one is a hard one. Why? Because we are watch lovers and often forget that the public doesn’t know watches. So a Grail has to be one that Joe Public would know. I’m not a fan, but Richard Mille would have to be in the mix. FP Journe is exceptional but the public would know Richard Mille just from the press that they receive. On second thought I really dislike that company, so I’ll go with your list! Fun to watch!
No fucking way a rolex in my grail list. JLC Master Grande Gyrotourbillon is the ultimate holy grail watch. Then comes Lange&Söhne (can’t remember the model name).
What a load of tosh. Grail simply means unobtainable - for whatever reason. Usually rarity or cost. It does not have to be expensive, flashy, from a top luxury manufacturer or top model. To a child in Burundi a Casio F-91W could be their grail watch. It just so happens that these traits usually are present in our materialistic society, but you can’t make them part of your definition. It’s like you saying blood is red, because it also comes in blue, green and purple!
U just contradicted yourself by saying unobtainable usually rarity or cost and then say it doesn’t not have to be expensive. Grail doesn’t mean obtainable it means exactly what he said. Something that could take a lifetime to finally buy, an end watch that you’ve wanted forever where rarity and price is a huge part
@@eclipsaea1804 Hi, not at all. The guy says a grail watch has to be expensive, but it doesn’t - it needs to be unobtainable. Did you not see the example of a poor persons grail watch? Unobtainable due to cost or rarity. Look up the word grail.
@@sanjivrpatel the whole point of a grail watch/item is to be able to eventually get it no matter how many years it took. Why would u have a grail that’s impossible to get that defeats the point of working towards it if you can’t get it.
For me, I think the ultimate grail watch would be the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Handwerkskunst.
