But I see her conflict. Walking out buying nothing after being accused of stealing could make it look from the outside that they were actually stealing and "got caught". I don't think she was, but as I said, I see her conflict.
Store CHAINS are connected, it's not just ONE Myers store that's filmed her stealing, all the facial recognition systems are connected and alert upon entering any of the other stores.
Retailers now allow shoplifters to "build up their balance" to get prosecutions.

That guy at 27:27 gets in my nerves. Not the first time I see him in these freakout videos in different contexts, he's the most paranoid, entitled crazy person who thinks he's a vigilante who has to right to confront anyone in the street that he finds suspicious, to "protect his country". He's rude, aggressive and confrontational, and then walks out claiming that the others were aggressive because they reacted to how stupid he is.

@@Jshy1479 No, they don't. Usually they start the register with a set amount, like $100 or maybe $1000 but they only start with a small amount to be able to break change. I worked retail so I am quite aware this is what is done. They don't keep large sums of money around because they don't want to get robbed. Any large amounts of cash they do get would be put in a safe that cannot be unlocked until certain times of day.
It's a scam, pure and simple.
@@Jshy1479 When most people are using cards and not cash, of course the store wouldn't have much cash on hand, and to prevent robberies, most extra cash they do take in is dropped into a safe that is time-locked so it can be deposited later at the bank.

How is that amazing? If you paid cash for something and need a refund, you should get cash back. Just like if you paid with card and need a refund, you get it back on the card you used.

In the UK you take the TV or whatever the item is back to the retailer.

Yeah this is pretty stupid. Most retailers will take the tv back if it looks like it came that way. Like if you return it the day after, it's probably not something you did. Some stores will just take it pretty much as-is and give you a replacement. I wouldn't buy a large item from a local retailer if they didn't do returns. I might as well buy from Amazon at that point because they are good about returns.

I have bought 2 TVs at Best Buy that were damaged in the box, and they didn't give me any issues exchanging for a non broken TV.

Those people that were stopped from going through the store did anybody notice the humongous purse? One was carrying that big of a purse is only for one reason and it isn’t because they got a lot of money in it.
BestBuy is the worst!! I bought a dishwasher there that didn't function properly, took it back to BestBuy and they said I had to send it to the manufacturer - which was on the other side of the country!! They told me they could accept it for recycling so I left it with them - no refund. :( Now I only shop at Costco.

anyone who works/worked retail, chime in here, but if you were ever in a closing store...or company on the verge of bankruptcy...wasn't denying returns a sign of the store closing? Cause I remember that being a huge thing when I worked retail.
I worked for a large chain store and went through this when our store was closed. The inventory was sold to a liquidator. We had nothing more to do with our company other than the sign on the building. I had a lot of people accusing me of fraud, illegally denying refunds, etc. I never want to go through that again.
