Luckily I only rented a house in one and for sure learned my lesson when looking to buy, dodged a huge bullet! Now we have lived in a downtown area for the last 18 years and love it! Not only is everyone much nicer, but we can walk to just about anything we need or want to do, unlike most suburbs. Our next house will be in about 5 years when we are empty nesters. Then we want to move to some land and have a little homestead....still no HOA! Good luck with your neighbors until you get out of that mess, sooner than later hopefully for you.

We had sod put in and weren’t supposed to cut it for x weeks, she killed hers by mowing it and got the rest of us fined for not mowing it, as instructed. Called the police when I had a privacy fence installed (it was going to shade her grass…but wouldn’t have been there, if she hadn’t been mowing my grass on that side down to 1” and killed it all.) She dug a 5’x3’x3.5’ hole in my yard to try to find the lot marker, as she thought the lot lines were diagonal…the police had to explain that the lot markers were over 4’ long and planted 2’ down, thus it was impossible for my dad to have moved it without disrupting the packing of the dirt. The attacked me with a shovel when she was digging a trench diagonally across my yard for a river of rock to serve as the property line….and on and on and on. She screams like the worst of RUclips’s Karens with a 2 pack a day for 40 years voice. It’s truly been a pleasure, but at least the whole neighborhood hates her and I have friends in this.

She tells me she's American and has the right to be here. I tell her I am too. I live near Glasgow UK airport...l live in a small village, holiday makers pick up rental cars...our village is their first port of call on their Scottish holiday, sometimes they drive accidentally on the wrong side of the road...you wave them down, smile, and gently let them know...they are driving on the wrong side of the road....they usually are a wee bit embarrassed...but in the main...we have a giggle about it..and they get on with their holiday in our beautiful peaceful country...❤
