  • Aikido Nikyo 2 Christian Tissier
Up an alley in a beautiful Paris suburb is the Aikido and martial art oasis of the Cercle Tissier Dojo. We filmed Christian Tissier in his dojo teaching superb Aikido.
Christian Tissier (b. 1951 Paris, France) a renowned European Aikido teacher, he pioneered the growth of the art in France. In 1983 he was a founding member of the Fédération Française d'Aïkido Aïkibudo et Affinitaires (FFAAA or 2F3A).
Aikido training began as a child in 1962 in Tavernier's Dojo in Paris, following the style of Hiroo Mochizuki. He went on to train with Mutsuro Nakazono and earned his 2nd dan before leaving for Tokyo in 1969. He went to the Aikikai Hombu Dojo as an 18-year-old, and trained there for seven years. Among his teachers are Seigo Yamaguchi, Kisaburo Osawa and the second doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba. In Tokyo, he also trained in Kenjutsu under Minoru Inaba at the Shiseikan and in Kickboxing at the Mejiro Gym.
He received 7th dan in 1998, and is among the handful of westerners who have been given the title Shihan 8th Dan by the Aikikai in Jan 2016 by Aikido's Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba.

@@houssenalyyohan It's useless in real situation fight. Any decent UFC fighter can take down any of the so called black belt Aikido. Believe me, I was one of them. Practiced 2 degree black belt Aikido couldn't even take down BBJ Black belt.

@@houssenalyyohan Karate is actually very good in term of real life application, if you have extra time.. learn some empty hands, it would take your skill to another level. Nowadays, in a real street situation, majority of time you would end up on the ground wrestling or in close range combat. Wing Chung or Kali empty is a real good close combat technique mix with BBJ. Good luck to your journey.
