I started using the iPhone XS in December last year, I came from a android flagship phone to a somewhat old iPhone, and I love the switch I made, it has made me more present in day to day life as I have less battery to use through the day, this results in making my life more relaxed, not being worried about notifications as I turn off mobile data and so on.. my relationship with my GF also got better, I am so happy now, I think I get what you say about spending less time on tech
That is great to hear. These apps and phones are built to be crazy addictive, but not good for you. It is remarkable how quickly your life and mood begins to turn around after just using your phone less
awesome. I have the s23 ultra and I was actually thinking of getting the iPhone 13 mini for that same reason. I don't want my phone to be a distraction, I want it to be a tool to call, text, check weather, time ect. but I've been using android all my life and I don't have that kind of money to buy another phone. I'll be thinking about it

Just got my Iphone X , december 25 2023 and im inlove with it! It can still compete to other phones on today its beast bro! the only issue abt it is the overheating but its fine, we need it to use ít properly and it will Run in good condition, last update was ios 16.7.5 still good, Dont hesitate buying iphone x im telling u guys u wont regret it
I still use the XS today, which Apple still supports. Doesn't have a lot of the newest features that some of the latest iPhone have but still runs really well. Rumor is XS won't get the next iOS (18).
Even if Apple stops iOS updates, if it's a security issue major enough, they will still do security patches for recently retired iPhones for a number years beyond that. Once they stop even the security updates, that when I declare an iPhone dead.
it's rumoured that XS/XR and XS max WILL get ios 18

I recently got a jet black iphone 7, and I had the same impression that it feels fairly snappy and doesn't feel like it deserved to lose iOS updates.
Preventative updates are up to 2025 but if they discovered an exploit, they will push more updates. My first gen SE received an update a week ago.
I've kept my iPhone SE 2016 on iOS 15.4.1 since March 2022 in hopes of a jailbreak. Now there are two (Dopamine and palera1n), so I will have to jailbreak it, sooner or later, to make it usable in the future (some apps, like Netflix and Microsoft 365, no longer support iOS 15).
Came from the X to a 13 Pro 2 years ago, and this week I'm downgrading back. I'm tired of the endless cycle of just upgrading constantly without any love or excitement for what you're getting. The X really was a work of art. Found one on iOS 12, so I won't have to worry about the slowing down that's common with ones on newer versions. Hoping the lack of compatible apps will keep me off my phone more. Very excited!
I jumped from de X to the 14 PM and it took me like 3 months to stop using my X as my main phone. The size, the weight and the looks still make me carry it around as a second phone. I haven’t been able to sell it or give it away. It’s so light and thin it reminds me of the iPod touch.
I use a Xiaomi mi 6 from 2017 with LineageOS Android 14 and no joke, I love this phone and its still fast enough for basically everything. Changed the battery 2 times by now and get easy trough the day despite very frequent use ^^

@@techno_eclipse Old 16:9 screen phones feel almost retro by now but are still pretty fast. How about the Samsung galaxy s5, google pixel 1, one plus 5t, sony Xperia x compact and so on ^^ Would also love to see if you could mod moddern android on an htc one m7 and use it normaly. Had this phone when i was young and loved it ^^

I did saw iPhone X before getting my iPhone 8 and my mother gotten 8 plus. We got in both silver grey. I still have my iPhone 8 and even SE(2). I’m now using iPhone 14 in purple. I just got it fixed and back just after 2 weeks using iPhone 14 Pro in purple. It was a little bit heavy than mine iPhone 14. I’m glad to have my iPhone 14 back. I still liked it.
But be aware of one limitation: the radio modem chip. The iPhone X does not support 5G due to the Intel modem used, so you’re going to be limited to LTE speeds.

Just bought the iPhone X for a good price and coming from an 8 plus… holy this thing is so gorgeous and sexy not to mention I like the smaller size even more because I’m a minimalist. Performance is still insane, battery is good, camera is fire but most of all it is GORGEOUS

Still using an iPhone X on iOS 15.6, jailbroken with Dopamine. Sileo package manager. Battery health at 94%. Protected with a Catalyst waterproof case. A tweak called Notchless removes the notch systemwide.

I have an iPhone X works completely fine and perfect for what I used it, I don't think I will change it anytime soon. 😂😅
The iMessage exploit you talked about was patched on iOS 16.2, so the iPhone X will be just fine. To bear in mind, the iPhone X is a checkm8 phone, so it will have unpatchable holes in it’s security, but most of the holes are just used for jailbreaking purposes, which itself won’t put your data at any risk. So overall, the iPhone X to this day is a very much useable phone with good security. Great video!

Went to a refurbished reseller in india. As this beauty. The in-hand feel and the smooth is still better and many latest andriod phones.
I use my iPhone X for a year and XS for almost 4 years.
Currently using 14 Pro as daily driver.
XS served me very well in my 4 years long run. X wasn’t so much, just because of the improved battery life and the Smart HDR introduced in XS is just so good.
It’s been a year with 14 Pro and the only thing I honestly miss about X and XS is the subtle and more natural looking post-processing of the camera. To be honest the new computational photography thing isn’t great, always hit and miss. Too much contrast, excessive digital sharpening and very processed looking. I found myself always turning on ProRAW in order to get around the over-processed images and capture natural looking photo just like older generation of iPhones does.
Older iPhones has always been a good experience for me, but the battery life is a major let down. But thank god iPhones battery life got massively better from 13 series onwards, it’s just amazing.

I was hoping you would get into the hardware side I only watched half the video. I guarantee this iPhone cost the most for Apple to produce which is why the don’t support iOS updates.

The reason it dosnt get updates is because ITS THE BEST AND MOST EXPENSIVE (for Apple to make) iPhone that has ever been created.
