the best Top 100 ever was when Meg started the first few seconds holding a sword and saying "One of these people will die!" I don't think I've ever laughed that hard at a games video in my life. Also, my wife knows her at sight and loves her personality too. The two of you together is so much fun.
Do you think it would water down the channel if you just had some of your unedited raw footage of you playing some games? I know the production of editing, and putting together stuff for gameplay videos is a lot...but, since you and Meg have played some of this, Roll Player Adventures, stuff that maybe we don't catch on stream live, it would be cool if they were just available to watch in raw format. No talking to the chat, people, just you guys playing it completely raw.
I agree. Poorly watched videos are supposed to make it harder for the algorithm to promote future videos. Some content creators address the problem by posting unedited play through on their Patreon. The play through is made available, it doesn’t affect the algorithm, and supporters get something extra for their support 🎉
Good lord, I 100% agree with Meg on Ascension vs dominion. Dominion art and gameplay feels dry. This series has been fun to watch! Also, post new questions for the community with pie chart responses. Do you need suggestions for questions? Lastly, I feel like I need to play bloodrage, mind mgmt, and unconscious mind. You keep talking about them, and they seem fun

I have never heard of kingdom legacy, but it's compact size and the fact that both like it that highly on the list I'm gonna have to look into it. As a solo only gamer especially!
Found it in Essen by chance, I gift it to anybody who's into games. There's also 2 booster expansions and a box slightly bigger than the main deck (distant lands).
Yes! Critters at War is the greatest game for player experience and the investment time to teach, time to play, and cost for me. I can't wait for the next expansion that I was able to play test.
I have Calico, Dominion (base game only, but considering getting more for the app version), and Rolling Realms. Calico is my favorite of these. I need to play Rolling Realms more, as it is a good solo game. I got a few expansion packs for some of my favorite games. I've also played Blood Rage and Mind MGMT, and Hanamikoji on BGA.
Brilliant set of ten games. Five more cross overs taking me to 21.5 . I still love Blood Rage and my group prefers it over Ankh (my favourite in the series). Mind Management is brilliant, one I am keen to try with the kids at some point.
Kingdom Legacy definitely ended up in my top 20, I have been obsessed. Definitely fun to watch people to talk about their experiences, given the lack of advertisement and limited access to the game here in the States.
I need to try Calico solo still. It's my favorite of that series and as a tile l as layer. Mosaic War expansion is good - certainly play it Mind MGMT - I swear by the solo app more as a way to play full coop with a group. Often teaching the game and it's better to be able to we work openly with everyone than talking through how to beat me to the other side.
This is an interesting one for me, because a lot of it reflects my PAX Unplugged. MIND MGMT was my lone purchase due to Off The Page clearing them out on Sunday. Clans Of Midgard was a game I could have picked up for $15, and maybe should have looked at it deeper. Vagrantsong had my attention, if just the art style reminded me of Lackadaisy. Also, a good reminder to put River Valley Glass works on the wish list.
Wow! I have played all but one of the games on Alex list. 9 out of 10. I actually own 7 of the 9. The two I sold were Mosaic and Mind MGMT. My son owns Calico, so I better just play it. I am also waiting for Arydia. I am now up to 30 owned and 31 played out of the 80.
Continuing my crossover count - what do I do with 31B? I mean, Arydia is on its way. Do I count it? But it’s an asterisk in Alex’s list so I think I ignore. Alex’s list: 33) Dominion, 34) Calico, 35) Spirit Island, 36) Air, Land and Sea, 37) The Crew, 38) Mind Mgmt Meg’s list: Because Meg focused on games that are new to her in 2024 or that she played a lot in 2024 rather than top of all time, I’m going to track what I’ve played rather than what I own. 1) Rebel Princess, 2) River Valley Glassworks, 3) Rolling Realms, 4) Mission Control: Critical Orbit
Crossovers from Alex's list: 11) Dominion, 12) Blood Rage, 13) Calico, 14) The Crew, and 15) Mind MGMT. Finally Alex gets to some good games! 😂 Always enjoy professor Meg and her energy but crossover with her list was 0! Skyrise, Rebel Princess and Mission Control: Critical Orbit sound fun. Rebel Princess may be coming for Christmas...
@@BoardGameCo I wonder what has more unique combinations, Dominion kingdom card display setups or Sonic drink options? At the minimum I want to play the suggested games that are in the back of the rule books. Typically two are listed for each one like Base + Adventures for example. Not sure if there are great three set lits like Adventures+Nocturne+Dark Ages but again this mixing of game setup could go on for a long while.
Ugh. Dominion. Of all the deck builders that have aged, it's aged the worst. Play Arctic Scaengers. Play Heart of Crown. Play ANY other big store deck builder.

You need to do something with your hair Alex. You don't blend in with her. I suggest something pink. Signal pink.
These lists keep making me want to buy more games!
The inherent problem with top 100's :)
These duet-video's are always so much fun.
Love the lists and the chemistry! Ty!!
Just mentioning Arydia makes me happy. Still waiting for mine
It's so solid

0:23 …And also, the video went up at midnight today!
lol yep....that was a mistake
You bring in a heavy hitter, with Professor Meg. We'll played, friends.
Prof. Meg has the best taste... 😁
Lol I'll let her know
Meg, for TCGs next year you gotta try Sorcery: Contested Realm. Amazing art board game feel (and the last set was Arthurian legends).
Looking forward to Kingdom Legacy. Just ordered it with FryxGames' restock, plus the expansions including the new big one.
Enjoy it!

I got River Valley by backing the kickstarter and I love it so much! I definitely enjoy the solo mode a lot!
Glad you are :)
Yay! Meg is here!
Indeed :)
Fantastic 10 Alex. Can't wait to see the next 20
Thanks :)
that's an amazing sweatshirt Meg has on

It's great, definitely check it out :)
I found out about it from watching the board game garden. It’s on my list of stuff to get as a legacy game lover!
Found it in Essen by chance, I gift it to anybody who's into games.

It's incredible, great game in a tiny box
Mosaic is a lot of fun, very quick to play.

What's going on with the timestamps?
They are wrong~
Sorry! Video went up a little early by mistake...fixed :)

It's so good!
Spirit island solo and 4 player is an amazing experience and fun
Yay! Finally, a ranking list worth watching 😅
lol thanks :)

Waiting to see if Cloudspire is on your list!
I feel called out on Feast for Odin.
Prof Meg with the Cool Shirtz sweatshirt, I see you haha
Lol yep

Lol, a good batch then :)
Mind MGMT!...yuss- it fired Whitechapel for me. Only hidden movement game I need and awesome solo, too
It's the best
How can you get a copy of Kingdom Legacy?
I got mine on cardhaus

Wow mind mgmt is that high
And nice to see Spirit Island still sticking in the list.
Yes on both counts :)
I love truck taking but just can't get into the crew
No game will work for everyone
Good lists. FYI Meg, RRR Ball is based on Soccer and the relegation/promotion leagues most leagues in the World have, not baseball.
Thanks!
"that feels like gaslighting"😂😂😂
Please play Mosaic- stellar game.
I have :)
@BoardGameCo haha. To clarify what I meant, is that you and Meg play it together.
Dominion is great.
Yes it is :)

I am realizing that over the years, campaign games don't age well.

What are we commenting?
number of cross overs with my collection so far lol

How does Blood Rage compare to Avalon: The Riven Veil?
