Really enjoyed this. We visited Ireland last year and Northern Ireland was one of our favourite parts of the trip. We did the same as you: Titanic Museum and a political history walking tour with a very nice fellow who grew up during the Troubles. Both were highlights and we would love to come back and spend more time here so we can learn more. Looking forward to seeing more of your journey!
Glad you enjoyed the visit to our city. Unfortunately, like many other cities, Belfast city centre has got quite run down and is experiencing a lot of problems with drugs and homelessness. Next time you're here, visit the Antrim coast and north coast. Stunning scenery.
100% true. Look down Royal avenue around castlecourt and it is just derelict now with tons of run down buildings and empty shops. McDonalds is like a war zone with police and security most days of the weeks thanks to junkies and others. Most days i walked down past boots and marks and spencers the PSNI are lifting addicts of the street outside that small tesco. Town is nothing like it use to be even 20 years ago. Gone down hill in a huge way.
Really enjoyed your first video of Ireland. I think it is a very relaxed way of filming for you but I like whatever you put out! I was there in April and went to the same places so far as you. I think you will have spent a little more than you planned but you have the ability to control your spending throughout the rest of the trip so I don't think it will be 10k. I think the troubles (area) in Belfast is important for all people to see, not just the UK. Thanks for filming this. I look forward to your next part of the series!
Hello both.Loved the video. Ireland is absolutely beautiful and like you say the people are so friendly and know how to enjoy themselves😂. I've finally decided on my retirement date and it's December 2025 and I litterely can't wait🎉. Looking forward to your next Ireland installment xx
Great video. Loved the format. My wife and I laughed out loud as we have the exact same discussion about parking spaces! Looking forward to the rest of the trip.
I like the format that includes the mundane parts of travel like car parks 😂 More realistic than just showing typical tourist highlights. I think you blew your budget by 50%.
We loved the relaxed style of this video, and can second your recommendations of the Titanic museum and the black cab tour in Belfast. And we liked the parking bit too. 😊
Loved the format. Great video. I commented to my wife that I was glad you showed where to park for the Titanic exhibit. I always get lost trying to find the parking signs. I think that showing common place happenings is one thing we don't see enough of. Everyone assumes that they are the only one who struggles things like finding the right place to park, or where to buy a ticket. When, in truth, it happens to many of us.
You made an interesting choice to stay in Draperstown while driving to Belfast for excursions and tours. The accommodation looked amazing, if not a little off the beaten track. Perhaps I’ll catch you guys next time you’re over this way? Take care.
Lovely empty country roads for driving - what I remember from past visits. Lovely to come along with you on your Irish trip. Look forward tonext episodes.
My wife and I were in Belfast almost exactly one year ago. We spent a week staying in an Air BnB walking distance from the centre of Belfast. The Titanic museum was amazing, very much worth a visit. We also did the murals black cab tour, fascinating and sobering in equal measure. We also did a coach trip to the Giants Causeway, which we’re glad we’ve seen but weren’t blown away by. Also worth a visit are the Belfast City Hall and Sr George’s Market. We loved Belfast and would recommend a trip there whole heartedly.
I’ll watch whatever you put out because I really like you all and appreciate the education you have given. I will admit though I do prefer your previous vlogging style.
Ahhh that's lovely of you to say. We know that it's not going to be tu everyone's taste but we can say that that we think we get better at this style as we go along. Always value your support.
£3796. You've done the expensive part save for Dublin. Best video for a long time. Format is really good. Is it easier to record and edit? Car park was a classic.
Brilliant, thank you. Easier to record mainly because Sarah doesn't like to be scripted and with this style she can just kick back and be herself so this is what you'll see on 2GoRoam Travels from here on. Only issue is that I have a LOT of footage when I start editing but really... this is a joy, a lot more realistic with our travel style. I knew the parking of the car would be winning content :-)
I’m guessing you came in over budget. It looks like a lovely place to do a road trip around though and a bonus for us that they drive on the left side of the road 😊
The north of Ireland/Northern Ireland doesn't have a flag,, the one that you have used in your video is contentious to what is now the majority of the population. That said it was an enjoyable video and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.
Great first Ireland video but wow, I’m not sure about the budget, especially as you stayed in 7 different accommodations and because of the cost of a Guinness nowadays 😀 I’m going to take a guess though…£5500 (budget broken but not blown to pieces!)
Hold my drink!!! You guys have found the magic bean....i mean formula. The graphics and story telling was perfect..... some of those prices, though....ouch.
Got to be over budget, you've already spent a grand on 3 days that should come in at 10k for a 30 day month. I love the videos, maybe edit out the parking though...😜
It is the flag of the former NI Parliament which hasn’t existed for 50 years. The Union Flag is the only ‘official’ flag of NI. The flag you have used a not a neutral symbol and is best avoided

And we appreciate you for saying that.

Very harsh,,,Belfast is thriving actually the people are spoilt compared to a lot of UK cities
@@garyb5998 Believe me, lived here over 50 years. The centre is not what it used to be. Your UK cities must be terrible sadly.

Belfast is no worse than any other major city in the UK. It's come a long way from a rather turbulent past.
Great to see visitors not being influenced by certain taxi drivers perspectives 👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿

@@2GoRoamTravels Thanks. It was also cool that we had a cameo appearance in there. A nice reminder of a fun afternoon!

I remember that old map from our student Atlas. Haven't seen that in 40 years. Thanks for taking us up North. They need more coverage like this....
