fun fact about the brave series is the fact it is a cooperation between Sunrise who makes Gundam and Takara who makes Transformers then they decide to mix and match by making Gundams who can transform like Transformers
@@BigWired More stock footage actually: since the transformation sequences were going to be reused multiple times in the series, they could make it as beautiful as possible. Unfortunately you'll often notice in these old 90's shows that the rest of the show isn't nearly as well animated.
It's a robot with a base built into it somewhat. It's a re-deco of Grandus from Transformers: Battlestars: Return of Convoy, in which the base mode was used by Micro Transformers (Micromasters).

Yooo I had a toy of this back in the day! I didn’t expect to run into the anime it’s apparently based so randomly. The toy was incomplete, because it missed the arms, so it just had the upper arms dangling from the shoulders🤣 and I didn’t have the separate robot guy that’s supposed to go in the chest either. The beak on the chest also had to be extended manually and it would never stay up. I liked the figure quite a bit besides all that.

Well not exactly since their were robots who had A.I. aka Gunkid and Lian plus in power rangers pilots don't get absorbed when entering their robot....
They actually had cockpits though while in dagwon no they didn't once they merge with the robots they just become the minds of them they only unmerge once an battle is over

Jetfire48 Pretty sure Dagwon was made in response to the sudden surge in Sentai's popularity back in the 90s, along with the rise of shows featuring bishonen types doing things like Gundam Wing. Kinda sad they didn't take the bishonen part far enough, cause Dagwon's honestly pretty boring. If it tried to appeal to fujoshi it would have at least been somewhat interesting.

Kamen Rider Chaos It was definitely a Knockoff. The only official versions I know of are obviously the original Japanese version by Takara, and the Korean licensed version by Sono Kong(Yes it was OFFICIAL-to tie in with the Korean dub of the show).

I love that Fire Jumbo makes no effort to try to even hide the robot kibble underneath, they knew it was impossible.
