I have been playing this guitar now for 6 months, and I sincerely can't find a single bad thing about it. Refuses to go out of tune, sounds like a million bucks, looks the part. Just a wonderful, perfect guitar.
AO Vonali same here after 12 years with mine 😎 what a lovely guitar!
Awesome! I’m so excited to get mine in the surf green version.
As good as my old Suhr, super guitar tbh.
I bought mine in 2007 and it plays better than ever. I use D’Addario 9.5 strings these days and the tone is excellent, just as good as when I used heavier strings. I have played in classic rock/blues rock bands and I would say that this guitar is perfect for everything.
Highly recommended.✌️🎸
That is a Paul Reed Smith Dallas 4 x 10 custom amp with "Derek Trucks Mods" from their Custom Audio Design department. It is essentially a single channel Super Reverb with adjustable preamp gain. We love it.
I have one of these, 2015 or 16 or so.... wasn't looking for a Beck signature model, it just turned out the features I wanted were on it (you didn't mention the locking tuners, which I was also looking for). I love this guitar. Through a Super Reverb it's exactly what you'd hope for. Also through a Deluxe reissue, and a mid-70's Princeton. It never fails. Also, I floated the bridge (well, hell. It IS a Jeff Beck Strat, after all, right?), and that is super fun!
great strat sound, disagree with those that say otherwise
Can you imagine if Hendrix had ever got to tear up one of these babies ?? thanks to Jeff Beck who kept the wild side of playing alive.
I hear younger players complain that Jimmy was out of tune most of the time, true, but so was everybody else back then, we have gotten so used fake computer corrected perfect pitch singing and playing that we are now missing something, Frank Sinatra what a great perfomer but he was flat most of the time, does he suck too ? perfection is great but it's not art. Listen to Clean Up Woman by Betty Wright, she is way sharp but man that songs really cooks thanks to a GREAT band.
Not Clapton and Page. They played hard tail in the 60’s. They knew better.
Some great player had poor guitartec
@@michaelrandolph2493 I thought Page sounded a little out of tune sometimes.
nice demo. love the guitar. I play a strat, standard American, through a Super Reverb and it sounds nothing like this. But it does sound like heaven to me, my personal favorite combination. Sometimes for bigger gigs I will also hookup my Plexi RI and the two together is quite lush. Gonna get me a Jeff Beck model strat.
Now that sounds like a strat should sound.
I had one a couple months ago, I set it in fire after jamming like Jeff Beck 😎
Just an FYI Jeff uses special custom hand wound pickups, and a Wilkinson vintage roller nut but the Fender JB model comes pretty damn close for around $1500, it's a monster, even if you buy the custom shop version for $4k+ you will still not get what he actually plays so don't waste your money.
+SuperStig23 yeah his guitar tech says he uses custom Suhr pickups that Fender would love to try and copy!
@@Dream-Academy lol As you know. both of you talking nonsense bitter haters
Think your opinions Matters lol
Thanks a lot man! Really appreciate that! LEt us know if there's anything you want to see in the future. We'll be up-ing our internet content more and more as we grow! All the best.
Almost positive it's the "Artist Series" as it has his signature on the front of the headstock. Just tried out a "Custom Shop" for the first time last week and his signature is on the back of the headstock.
My Favorite Guitar I own besides my 63 Firebird. Great Fender Guitar with a Custom shaped Neck And it does stay in tune after you stretch your Fresh set of strings. New SIT STRINGS last week and all good GREAT STRINGS .......IT WAS A Fun Test ride with them HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AX
Hey there! This is Bob. I'm starting a new band called The Movelles. You can look for us on RUclips. We are just uploading a demo from our first rehearsal. The song is called "I've Been Down". Thanks for watching!
just watched your vid. Really liked it. I think you would sound great playing a White Falcon
One of the best Strats
I watch these videos just so I can hear this guy play!
Great Playing- At the 1:46 mk where you do the infamous Jeff Beck tremelo phrasing; it sounds like you knocked the guitar out of tune directly after that phrase and I notice you edit the video right at that point. I only mention- because you stated in the video that it stays in tune really well- but I think prospective buyers need to know it might not stay in tune as well when implementing the Jeff Beck tremelo styles-
You never mention if this is the Japanese version or the American?
is the tremelo the same one as on the American Deluxe stratocaster with the stainless steel saddles? Also,; and most important:- What amplifier are you playing through? Are you using any pedals or sound enhancers? Computer editing- etc? What are the settings on your amp? I like the guitar , but if I can't afford the amp to make is sound as good as your demo, then - there is no point for the purchase. One has to be realistic.
There is not a Japan Jeff Beck Strat that I am aware of or could find on a quick google search. I completely agree with your point about the amp though. Someone might be disappointed in their new $1500 guitar if they get home, plug in into their Micro Cube, and cant make it wail like this guy can on his high end PRS amp.
Thanks!!! Now that you mention it, I do love Gibson SG standards. Also is there any where I can find Bob showcasing his talent? Either on RUclips or any other website?
Love the way you play. Great style.
Great demo
Not bad, prefer the 90's ones whit the lace sensors,.
Nice demo, love that guitar
This shows that ceramic pups can be great. But why such a thin tremolo block?
thanks for making a video for this guitar that isn't terrible, and actually having some personality
I bought this guitar and it made me sound nothing like Jeff Beck so I returned it.
No shit, Sherlock!
I love this guy. He is a guitar-playin' fool, too! Hot diggity!
Thanks for a nice demo
Jeff Beck can really make this guitar talk, can you imagine what Hendrix could have have done with this guitar ?? the strats in his day wouldn't stay in tune even if you never even touched the trem.
What amp and pedals is Bob running this stratocaster thru?
are u using 09 string or 0 10?
My name Jeff.
I own the Jeff Beck Artist Series strat and have had it for quite a while, but for some reason, I'm not getting the sustain I think I should be getting. Any advice?
Your pups may be too high. Lower them a bit.
sounds really thin and brittle. Jeff Beck never plays this model or these pickups ironically. Check his luthier on youtube, he mentions it too
I just bought the Mexican model used. Sounds just like this Beck. And looks just like it. I'm in love. For real.
It's a crime to demo a Jeff Beck strat without using a Marshall.
Except he often plays a fender amp
whynottalklikeapirat He uses both.
Chris P. Bacon
That is implied by the word "often" which would have otherwise been "always".
Chris P. Bacon
We aim to please.
The Pots are 500k???
What kind of amp is that?
is it worth installing an lsr roller nut on a strat with a vintage style 6 screw bridge?
Steve Brule I don't think so, without the locking tuners and a 2 point floating bridge I don't think it's worth it, There are some videos on RUclips that show you how to setup a vintage 6 screw bridge, regular nut and tuners, I think the Guy's name was Fruda a luthier from Italy, he really knows his stuff. Good Luck.
It'll work fine. I bought a Jeff Beck neck for a partscaster and my friend, who is much better than I, was greatly impressed
Why does it have a pick guard for. J.B. stopped using a pick around 1980.
It also serves as a board to keep the guts of the guitar inside. Or am I missing something here? No pickguard, no hold the guts in!
@@scottyscott1898 check out JBs pink Jackson ( Tina Turner). Obviously he preferred the Telecaster bass version with a pickguard which shows what a quirky genius he is. Its like one piece of plastic can make someone go crazy.
Irony that Fender bought Charvel/ Jackson and we have yet to see JBs Telecaster bass Jackson in awhile. The Tina Turner got all the glory.
I guess he hates pick wear marks on wood finishes. I know people who go nuts over less. He beats the living shit out of every guitar he plays. Which is why he doesn't use maple necks. The one stripped finish Strat he played in the 2nd Jeff Beck Group looked like an abuse victim in a shelter house yet it still played great. I wouldn't if I were it.
Now I got to restring my Strat copy from God knows where. When my wife comes out screaming I will tell her you told me to do it.
I want to hear what the single coils sound like, man. I know how a tremolo sounds, stop playing with it so much.
how come her bridge is so sensitive? i have the same model
It's floating bro.
Is this the "Artist Series" or the "Custom Shop" series?
Christopher Gatti artist series
Dogs seem to have that problem when breeding...always getting hung up at the nut.
Hi people, I have 1 question. how much for a jb. strat signature in usa, a used guitar.ç
because i read here and there "hey i'm gonna get one " , jesus, how much money do you make in one month ?? here i would have to pay like 4.500 us bucks for a new one. I'm a strat lover, and that bridge, can anyone give me one tip for a tremolo unit that works like that??..thanks
This model is $1600 new I believe. If you wait you might find a good deal on one.
gracias adolfo, de donde eres??
De Texas, y tu?
chileno de corazon, Santiago.
He is talking the Custom SHop version guys. Wood is wood and in terms of a magic resonant tone it's luck of the draw. Maybe you have a better chance of getting a great one with the CS version but unlikely to be much better.... maybe in setup, but take the standard JB to a good lutheir get it setup and put Suhr SINGLE coil pickups (not these humbucking pickups) in with their noise cancelling system in and you would have a better guitar and have only spent around 2k
What a laugh...noiseless pups suck...I suppose a great cup of coffee sucks too and you would rather drink "vintage" reheated two week old coffee too!...pickup noise is exactly that...thank God for noiseless Strat pups...even if I don't have 'em....
i don;t understand your comment- you 1st state Noiseless PU's suck- then, you write Thank God for Noiseless PU's- ...well are you being ironic or sarcastic or what? makes no sense?
@@MysteryZen77 i think he is directing his comment to people that says noiseless pickup sucks as they think vintage is the only way to go, and he's comparing 60 cycle hum to reheated two weeks old coffee.
Christian Bale can play!
Too bad he’s quite the prick
Everyone demo done on one of those PRS amps suck balls.
Santana may play a custom PRS but does he use a PRS amp? No he uses a Boogie and Dumble clone. Why PRS Amps are shit!
+Stephan Fry It may work if you use locking tuners. What the roller nut prevents is the string getting hung up in the nut when you bend strings or use the tremolo . It's been reported EVH used to grease the nut with Vaseline. I've also seen some roller nut setups on 90's Charvel strats.
Steven McGee I used to grease something else with vaseline however I fail to see what relevance this has to the fact that this PRS amp sucks balls!
+dezert fox ? Who the demo'er or Carlos? Carlos uses his original Mark i Boogie, a Dumble and a Bludotone Dumble clone. Fender & Marshall don't come close sorry.
True but his best tone arguable was his Yammy SG-2000 through a Mk 1 Mesa Boogie on the live version of Europa on Moonflower.
Scarf with a t-shirt? lol
well, it IS a jeff beck guitar :)
All that is missing is the man bun.
change the pu´s and u have the best strat ever..
Or, in your case, change the player....
noiseless pups suck.
I agree with you noisless pups suck, specially the bridge pick up,very thin sound, once you take out the distortion pedal and its worst ,thinner sound
Are you a buzz freak? :P
There's a big difference between the N3 Noiseless and the hot ceramic noiseless on the Jeff models. Don't let anyone tell you those "suck." They're really nice. Jeff and Eric both use them.
The Beck noiseless pickups in my 2017 model sound really good. It’s a challenge to tell they aren’t single coils. I did put a set of TexMex in and they match my plexi better, but I miss the quiet.
Worst demo I saw from this guitar.
