The first rifle has very nice tiger stripes. I was expecting all keyholes from those Ethiopian guns. Looks like I missed out for now. I just took my Calvary carbine out to the range. It didn’t kick as bad as I imagined in my head that it would. Anyways thanks for another great video
@@Jay-t4y4m I was also surprised when I got these rifles, I like the long boys personality over the carbines, but that’s just me and don’t worry I bet RTI still has quite a lot in the inventory
The long boys are definitely far more badass looking rifles. Also My clips were giving me the same trouble but that’s expected and definitely not a deal breaker by any means. Yeah just gotta wait on ole Ulie to make some space in his wear house and do one of his classic flash sales. Also It’s cool that ppu ammo isn’t unobtainium right now. Thanks again. take care
Those look like great shooters. My Carcano from RTI males keyholes with 0.264 ppu, but nice round holes with .268. The old girl probably deserves a counterbore. Mine groups about 10 inches at 50 yards
@@Scraps5209 I found my 1913 doesn’t like PPU factor especially the 123gr however my 1917 and 1916 did surprisingly very well with the 139FMJ, but I’ll stick with my reloads for higher accuracy
@@krockpotbroccoli65yeah the 1917 has the nicest, but they yeah all shoot pretty good which I’m most happy about, all were Bgrade purchase which surprised me
@@texascastblast5011 good to hear. I find that their grading system is completely useless. I got a no.1 mk3 (a grade?) a couple years ago that was intact but totally shot out whereas the 2 no bolt c grades I got were missing parts but had good bores and fairly decent finish. I guess they're going off of overall completeness and completely disregarding bore condition.

Nice shooting! Did you reblue these?
@@krockpotbroccoli65 nope original finish
@texascastblast5011 really? The long carcano I got from RTI was nearly devoid of any finish. Looks to have a decent bore though.

@ that’s my guess too, I got No Mk3 Bgrade and times in great shape but the bore was completely shot out, so it was a waste for me
I wish my long rifle didn't key hole so much
