Headmasters were my favourite post movie gimmick and Snapdragon (with Krunk) is just about the best of em. Well worthy of being TOTW.

He was the first headmaster that I got when I started collecting as an adult, in a great minty condition. Loving it. 👍🏼

Another Snapdragon fan, amazing! I completely missed him in my mid teens as I was out of Transformers at the time and discovered him through a brief but bizarre fixation on Doubledealer years later. Very much looking forward to both of their Earthrise releases this fall. Another fab video, thank you!

My favorite G1 Decepticon. I made a point to get a hold of every version available, both official and 3rd party...so four.
Thankfully, KFC is re-releasing Kingzilla with a white finish to better represent the cartoon model. I just hope it doesn't suffer the same "swirl" effect as its predecessor(damn injection molding).
"Repagonasaur!" Why hasn't there been a transformer with this name?!
I always thought the Horrorcons were meant to be takeoffs on King Kong and Godzilla. But this couldn't be said outright, hence the caginess about what Snapdragon's beast mode actually is. Also, yes: 86 and 87 all the way. 👍
It kinda is sad that the US and UK never really knew about this character. I recently watched the Headmasters Japanese series and enjoyed all the re-imaginings of the Headmasters. Though I questions some of the plot choices in the series.
This was so good! I never owned Snapdragon (or Apeface) but he always catches me eye, even amongst all the other eye-catching 1987 toys. I never knew he was a Headmaster in dragon mode too!!!

Never had Snapdragon, but I did have a couple of his Decepticon Headmaster colleagues - Weirdwolf and Mindwipe to be exact - back in the day, and they were both really cool bots as I recall, yes?

Love it! I have one myself! I used to have Apeface which i personally bought back in the late 80s but regretfully sold it! But i think i prefer Snapdrgon to Apeface. Snapdragon has a better looking robot mode and jet mode.

I lost interest in Transformers around this time, so I've really taken to the idea of the various master, especially headmaster toys I missed out on. My current and overall 3rd time collecting started in the summer of 2018, when it was relatively easy to pick up the Titans Return toys (which, to channel Thew could be summed up as, "What if G1, but everyone's a headmaster?”).
I've never owned an original 87 Headmaster toy, though. I really wished they kept the gimmick where the head revealed the tech specs on the recent toys.
Yeah the original HMs are some of my favourites.
Ace collectables tumbler is easily my least favorite amongst my MP/3P collection. Also at this point, I just refer to snapdragon's beast mode as a kiaju.

Thanks dude - it's a bit of a mix to be honest! Some bits need a touch of scripting as otherwise you'd just have me rabbiting on endlessly.
I liked a lot the headmasters/targetmasters. It gave a refreshing new gimmick to an already cool concept which is the transformation itself. I was waiting for Maketoys to make their Horrorcons but seems that I will need to take a sit to wait. KFC's look good, but they lack that premium finish to be called "Masterpiece". The light features are interesting, but I don't like how all the cables and circuitry is kinda exposed. Looks like a prototype instead of a production figure. If they would fix those two details... it could bring it to another level imho.
I'm with you on the KFC guys - really nice designs but the finish is lacking a little.
I appreciate some setup, but when you spend a third of the video (3:14 of 9:30) explaining things....on the third episode...it comes off as rather long-winded.
