Hi! Thank you for bringing more eyes to my censored forum post. That was my first post in a good few years and I got a warning so I got a good laugh out of how ridiculous it was to get a warning for the part that the moderator specified was "harrassment/abusive" 🤣 Keep up the great content! :)
The person who was banned did not deserve it. I found the comment to be legitimate and certainly not insulting or offensive. The other comment about racism regarding SWTOR is completely out of line. We all have legitimate reasons for not being happy with the state of SWTOR (which I rarely play because I want more story content), but race is certainly not one of them. I will not voice my opinion regarding the state of Disney and its latest creative efforts. I have let my wallet do my talking for me.
This happened to me a couple days ago. I've been playing off and on since beta and my forum post was my first in over a year, and I received a one point warning for saying this in response to the topic, "What is killing SWTOR": ME: "IMO, speaking as an executive, the upper, upper management of this game needs to do a competency check down the line because they are not getting it done, but then again maybe that comes from the top." SWTOR: "We ask that you do not create posts or threads which attack other players or staff members . While we encourage constructive criticism and civil debate, we ask that all community members respect one another regardless of differences in opinion. Posts that are designed to insult other community members/staff by belittling them, calling them names, or otherwise harass them will be removed." My post was critical but not offensive nor would a reasonable person consider it a personal attack. It's like the whole idea of competency and merit have been thrown out in favor of some other ideology.
This is why avoid forums, and test servers. I have seen people get punished and be hostiled to for no reason. I wish I could communicate and be more involved, I've done 219 livestreams on SWtOR (combined multiplayer and story), I had many good moments, but I also ran into many problems with SWtOR that I wish I could communicate to the officials, but I am discouraged by dev's (and players') reactions. I do not want my account to suffer consequences for trying to talk to them. So I share my swtor thoughts anywhere outside the official grounds, where it is safe. But if this is the case, it would be wise to communicate with the community. I am a big fan, but I feel more and more tricked and betrayed. They take our money and we don't get much back for it.

This is funny. So we, as players, can't talk about stuff they don't like - because it is considered harassment. But their lead writer can tweet about harming other people and hyping violence, and that is OK? make it make sense
The sad fact is the game relies more on a revolving door of new players buying cartel shop items than retaining dedicated subscribers like real MMOs do. It's easier to get rid of a trouble maker because there's likely someone unfamiliar with game thinking of downloading it tomorrow and with a brand like Star Wars attached to this piece of shit that's usually all someone pays attention to.
Yeah SWTOR used to be fun but since 2018 it went downhill. I got nearly my head bitten off when i asked about my account to be reactivated. I heard all the original devs have zero imput in it. its now other devs that just "manage" the game.
I didn't see anything that the person on the forums said that could be considered as violating SWTOR's rules and community guidelines either, Boomy. However, I do think that it would've been more helpful if they would've put out suggestions in addition to what they said. I'm not a big PvPer, so I'm not sure what suggestions they could add that they'd want to see, and that might make it be a bit more constructive? I just found the post to be moreso complaining without actually goving ideas to fix said issues is all. The guy in the latter half of the video on the other hand is definitely not in the right. Like you said, we all can disagree on things. Heck, I think SWTOR's story is pretty enjoyable, but I'm entertained more easily than others, I know that for sure. But yeah, just thought I would put my thoughts down and all. Love the community here, love the channel. See you in the next video!
Hi person who made the forum post here - What is shown here is not the whole post, it's simply the part that Broadsword chose to give me the warning for. In the full post I went on to mention how ultimately the change would not make much of a difference as there is still veteran players who are just going to queue in groups of 4 with tank/heal/2x dps and dunk on new players, as there is no queues anymore to separate the competitive veteran players to the new players. (e.g a casual and a ranked queue) They actually added a solution to the whole "ranked toxicity" after ranked itself was removed. They added a separate arena/warzone queue but then removed ranked. This separated queue would have allowed new players to get into an arena type of environment and learn how it works instead of jumping straight into ranked arenas, I also went and talked about the rewards in my post but, the part that was shown was what broadsword was trying to say they gave me the warning for, if that makes sense. :)
Maybe if they actually read for themselves the community constructive criticisms rather than just using a dumb AI do it then maybe they could save this game. to me it seems like they don't care about the players and what they want. I think they only care about gaming whales that buy all the utter useless junk from the cartel market. in my opinion the cartel market suffocated the game and the fans of it. RIP SWTOR.
Hi I just wanted to say I wish the game didn't Hide everything behind a paywall for the armor or what not on the galactic market I mean $90,000,000 the only way I'll be able to get that much I would have to be playing since day 1
Honestly i fully believe that they are slowly moving the game to a single player semi rpg. The mmo aspect of this game died before a lot of these changes. Every change since then has been a slow move into being a single player game. It makes sense, servers go down and add some more npcs to fill in the large empty spaces and boom you have kotor 3 😂 not the one we wanted but in essence. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if servers go down within the next 2-3 years
Everyone was worried about AI-rt taking over, we overlooked forum managers going maximum lazy with moderator bots... Not being able to criticize and have fruitful discussions WILL kill this game.
Hey Boomy I love SWTOR as you know but in the last year I have been finding it increasingly harder to log in each day and actually play as I have done and my account was created 14/04/2012... I rarely look at the forums any more since 2 things happened ... 1. (Pre forum new update) I can't recall exactly how many but I guess 4 posts were banned/deleted! The reason my Friend Request link was on the end of my messages NOT in the signature box (Note I normally didn't use any forums so I had ZERO idea there even was a signature box) 2. They quote "Updated" the forums. The hideous orange colour scheme and the way things are laid out do my head in... I have become reluctant to post any thing on the forums since. I now use your videos and few other creators plus google as an information source these days over the forums...
You tell them Boomy! The person that made that post is obviously someone that has no logical argument for what they think. So they resort to name calling and insults because someone has a different opinion.
@@Brongxe For an MMO that's pretty abysmal. Even an MMO like Fallout 76, that's more well known for bugs and merchandise problems, has 3x the players SWTOR does.
Thanks for the analysis! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
The SWTOR devs have long since been a bunch of woke socialists, commies and Marxists... what would one expect when it came to giving any kind of criticism.
Boomy, You know what will get there attention? If we as the consumer came together and stop playing this game. If these guys won't listen and give the fan base what it wants then quit playing. Star Wars has been failing since Lucas sold the rights.
The game sold over two million copies at launch and now struggles to surpass 5000 players on Steam. A lack of players isn't going to show BW/BS anything.
When the company gets so butt hurt over very basic questions / comments on the forums, social media sites. They are the companies i don't give any money for products. There been times that the app on my phone have zip itself to save space since I hadn't access it in months. While wow might not be perfect. The devs are listening to players making changes. There lots of updates and year long roadmaps. While swtor seems to give us so little content. Even the mount for subbing isn't worth my sub even I was still playing it.
From my experience in the swtor livestreams, i mainly get stoked when i see a fellow streamers that i recognize and we both know each other. I see what swtor does to those who bring up pvp content and get banned. It's a real disappointment to see tbh. their forum system set up sucks when you arent even harrassing or attacking players or staff. that's another factor why i don't bother with their forums. that last post... yeah you may be right, an actual Acolyte fan. Show could've been better but nope, it is what it is. keyboard warrior?... more like dont be a keyboard troll lol
😂 Boom man criticism or input from thier community they know that they have accepted. Does the game have community manager or team? I don't know thier names. Example warfame got team. But they know is so much they take any ways. There needs be someone acting like mouth piece for broadsword. Some nerdy person with glasses that knows different between plasma or a glowing stick. They need be on web streaming. On social medias gathering and giving information. As for Rank pvp is gone honestly no idea. I haven't done rank pvp since 5.0 cuz those guys are more toxic and annoying than DK gen chat. If is gone to be honest great i only see juggs and sorcs there what is point doing rank pvp. Just increased reward on reg pvp and call at day i don't really care.
That used to Eric Musco......that's the last time the SWTOR community had a CM that truly showed how much they cared. Jackie, she's too busy posting cooking pics then having honest interactions with the community.
@BoomyNation they really need a team. Why cooking pics. Why cosplay pics. Hand made projects from the community. Have community interacting and posting stuff on social pages . That should keep busy couple guys. Play on twitch or utubes . Taking question. Giving stuff to people watching. Rotate people on the streams. The fuck cookies pic hell I think can be community manager a love post mine cat pics on the discord.
I’ll tell you why they did it. They wanted to see if they can get away with Getting rid of some players they don’t like while banning the ones that actually need to be banned or muted etc. at least that’s what it looks like. Especially because if this wasn’t brought to anyone’s attention. It wouldn’t be seen. and players wouldn’t know about it.
@@BoomyNation Yeah but that’s not gonna do them any good. Even simps have their limits. I don’t think there has been any dumps that stayed if a dev or staff team treats them this bad. Even if they did it wouldn’t stop the game from dying. And devs will not get as much money
@@BoomyNation Yeah same. Like I love the game but needs to get better. Instead of the devs focusing on trying to open up on console and other pc platforms etc. it needs to improve the game massively first along with fixing the BS with the devs and staff team. I said on yours and I think Star Wars central comments too. That before the devs try to open up on console they NEED to improve the game massively. As in new powers, new combat, more story, making it so Nox and Wrath actually feel like we are powerful and not powerless. Because using the same powers are is now old like to the point where people are starting to quit just because they don’t feel like our character is powerful anymore. I know I don’t and that’s part of the reason why I haven’t been playing much is due to the powers which we’ve had since the beginning and rarely anything changed. But my main point I said before. Was when it comes to console games especially Star Wars. You need to go big or go home as the saying goes. Star Wars fans are very very picky and easily pissed especially with all the BS Disney is doing. One thing Star Wars fans made very clear is that we do not want our old legends lure and old canon lore touched by Disney. Devs already got a taste of that if they’ve seen the server chats. People were not happy in the slightest with the Disney armors and weapons. The only acceptions being Mando from the show and Anakin’s old apprentice. But anyway no one is gonna play Swtor on console unless the game changes massively. especially not when the game now now almost 80 something GBs literally.
Blizzard is worse with their moderation of their forums. It may as well be the Russian state media on there with how much stuff gets taken down for simple criticism.
So here's the issue with this first comment. More context is needed to know the exact aspect as to what caused the "infraction". I had something similar and there is more that goes into these "infractions" that they include for you as the player to see. If the person who sent you this could have simply clicked that arrow button under the word quote it would have provided more context (and more importantly they could have just screenshot the entire conversation and sent it to you). This seems a bit deceptive in trying to garner sympathy for something that clearly has more context that they are clearly ignoring to include. As for your comments about WoW, I still get infractions, for any critical criticism. They only care about the MMO aspect of the game that's fine, players who comment on the "story" aspect of WoW get their comments deleted and for no reason insta bans. I completely agree with your opinions on the second comment. Thank You for the amazing content Boomy, unlike certain content creators who claim to have a neutral/unbiased opinion of this game, you will engage with people whether they agree or disagree with your opinion.
Hi I am the guy who posted the post on the forums, I still haven't agreed to my infraction so I went back and clicked the arrow button you are talking about and it simply minimized it. The moderator included this quote to say why I was warned. If there was more than that then surely they would have included it within the quote. I have shown the quote within its entirety. There was more I said within the post, however it was not quoted by the moderation team. EDIT: Also I can't screenshot the whole conversation, if you want to go and see the thread, go to the PvP forums and go to "PVP CHANGES IN 7.6 THANK YOU" this is the thread I was replying to, but I can't screenshot my own post as it was deleted. But I've sent the screenshots of what I can to Boomy.
@Miickyyx when you get an infraction they include entirely of what you say. The reason they do this is to avoid a situation where things can be taken out of context. Now I should have included this part in my initial post with maybe a little more detail, but I was writing that post at like 3 am. Based on what you said to me, there was nothing wrong. However you can tell just from your opening on the screenshot provided that the entire context of the conversation wasn't provided, which for me makes it a little fishy, doesn't mean I agree with what they said you did, just means I want to know the entire conversation before I make a judgment call. As an example, when it came to my infraction their justification was that in their eyes on the forums the other player and I were being too aggressive (they assessed each of us were taunting/goading towards each other) and were not adhering to the guidelines of having game appropriate conversations on the forums (I think we were discussing the overall state of the game), now I disagree with their opinion to this day. Doesn't change anything though.
@@doomandew "when you get an infraction they include entirely of what you say. The reason they do this is to avoid a situation where things can be taken out of context." - They literally do not though, as I've shown in my screenshots. Also, this wouldn't make any sense considering you'd think they'd want to highlight the part of the post that they didn't like. "However you can tell just from your opening on the screenshot provided that the entire context of the conversation wasn't provided" - Can you provide proof of what you say as well? Because it honestly sounds like you are baselessly accusing me of being disingenuous. I've provided screenshots to Boomy's email, I've sent him a screenshot of the whole webpage and another of what happens when I click the arrow you were talking about which is straight up nothing btw. I could even send a video from obs of me opening the infraction if need be. 🤣 I have no reason to be disingenuous, when I first sent this screenshot around I was sending it around because I found it absolutely ridiculous and I was poking fun at it, I wasn't looking for the best way to take the screenshot. I didn't even know it was going to be in a RUclips video.
@@Miickyyx Just pulled it, they provide everything and the direct conversation that you commented on (or started) is provided next to the infraction on the right (taking a screenshot from a computer). Now I've got better things to do then argue, so as far as I'm concerned after this post by me, this conversation is over for me. You want to make assumptions about individuals who don't just worship what you say and don't blindly believe you, idk what you want me to say there lol. You clearly weren't poking fun at the fact you got one. Wanna know what proves it?? Because by your own admission you literally sent the initial screenshot to multiple people (even on my phone taking a screenshot there's more included), ergo you were outraged and annoyed that they (the game) deemed you to be in violation of ToS (whether you thought Boomy would make a video is irrelevant to the conversation). People in your position who thought it was funny, would have just moved on with their daily lives especially if it was their first infraction. Not to mention you sort of acknowledge (albeit not directly) you didn't include the entire conversation (nor did you explain in either of your comments what the entire conversation was over).

I couldn't agree with you more! Thanks for all the support! See you then!
@@MiickyyxAhh that makes more sense. Sorry for the confusion! I didn't realize that Broadsword only chose to highlight part of your message.
Thank you for shedding more light on the post. Still, there's not wrong with what you said, so them giving you an infraction is wild.
RIP SWTOR.
You're spitting facts!
It's what I do lol
Hi I just wanted to say I wish the game didn't Hide everything behind a paywall for the armor or what not on the galactic market I mean $90,000,000 the only way I'll be able to get that much I would have to be playing since day 1
Honestly i fully believe that they are slowly moving the game to a single player semi rpg. The mmo aspect of this game died before a lot of these changes. Every change since then has been a slow move into being a single player game. It makes sense, servers go down and add some more npcs to fill in the large empty spaces and boom you have kotor 3 😂 not the one we wanted but in essence. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if servers go down within the next 2-3 years
Honestly, SWTOR has had an identity crisis since its launch. It's kotor but blanketed in an MMO shell.
@ agreed
This dose not shocking seeing how they have been banning swinging of that hammer!
Sadly true!
I forgotten to play the SWTOR so much that I have to make new characters and start over😢
I agree 100% with you! 6:00
Everyone was worried about AI-rt taking over, we overlooked forum managers going maximum lazy with moderator bots...
Not being able to criticize and have fruitful discussions WILL kill this game.
It kills everything.
This is what modern Western gaming industry all about. Totally pathetic.
Sad, but true!
Devs be snowflaking

7:41 well said
Thank you!
The reason my Friend Request link was on the end of my messages NOT in the signature box (Note I normally didn't use any forums so I had ZERO idea there even was a signature box)
2. They quote "Updated" the forums. The hideous orange colour scheme and the way things are laid out do my head in...
I have become reluctant to post any thing on the forums since. I now use your videos and few other creators plus google as an information source these days over the forums...
Im really surprised anyone plays that game. Withint the first year it came out it started going the way of the dodo bird.
You tell them Boomy! The person that made that post is obviously someone that has no logical argument for what they think. So they resort to name calling and insults because someone has a different opinion.
Yep!
Who am I to disagree where the Boom Master 😊🎉🎉
Smartest comment ever lol
I just have 1 question I was going to start the game is it worth it to invest time in it ? Thank you and keep up the good work 👍
I think so. The OG 8 class stories are awesome. I would give it try!
Swtor died a few years ago, people need to accept it.
xD... Ok, but why they are over thousend of players enjoying the "dead Game"?
@@Brongxe Because when I played it had 12 million subs and hit 350,000 a week concurrent players.
@@Brongxe For an MMO that's pretty abysmal. Even an MMO like Fallout 76, that's more well known for bugs and merchandise problems, has 3x the players SWTOR does.
@ragnnohab that is very true!
Thanks for the analysis! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
That is more a community service question. I have no idea. Sorry. 🙃
Good lord, humans suck!
Has keir starmer joined the dev team 😅
🤣🤣🤣
The SWTOR devs have long since been a bunch of woke socialists, commies and Marxists... what would one expect when it came to giving any kind of criticism.
Fair point!
Boomy,
You know what will get there attention?
If we as the consumer came together and stop playing this game. If these guys won't listen and give the fan base what it wants then quit playing. Star Wars has been failing since Lucas sold the rights.
Not likely, 90% of players have already stopped playing and the game is still getting worse and going in the wrong direction.
The game sold over two million copies at launch and now struggles to surpass 5000 players on Steam. A lack of players isn't going to show BW/BS anything.
Is SWTOR turning into Niantic? Another bunch that ignores player concerns. May the Beard be with you!
Yes, yes they are.
Great points!
TRUE🙌🙌
O bagulho é esse meu mano, barras sendo ditas
The Devs are not doing there Jobs, but have time to attack their costomers...thats the reason the game is dead!
That's one big reason, yep!
Yea I’m going to FFXIV
I’ll tell you why they did it. They wanted to see if they can get away with Getting rid of some players they don’t like while banning the ones that actually need to be banned or muted etc. at least that’s what it looks like. Especially because if this wasn’t brought to anyone’s attention. It wouldn’t be seen. and players wouldn’t know about it.
The problem is they'll just get rid of most of their player base, and only keep their echo loving simps. Sad.
@@BoomyNation Yeah but that’s not gonna do them any good. Even simps have their limits. I don’t think there has been any dumps that stayed if a dev or staff team treats them this bad. Even if they did it wouldn’t stop the game from dying. And devs will not get as much money
This is why some of us are fighting back. Hell, I'll be in swtor until they shut down they servers!
Guy hurt DEI hire feelings.
Blizzard is worse with their moderation of their forums. It may as well be the Russian state media on there with how much stuff gets taken down for simple criticism.
Pravda!
Russian state media > American state media, thank you very much.)
Same thing happens if you mention conquest, since 1 guild has been winning for the last 7 years.
You mean British state overlords.
@Miickyyx you can always send screen shots to my email.
I have no reason to be disingenuous, when I first sent this screenshot around I was sending it around because I found it absolutely ridiculous and I was poking fun at it, I wasn't looking for the best way to take the screenshot.
Just fucking why with the ai garbage...
Ai = theft, using it is completely disrespectful to the artists behind the games and IP's you claim to love...
