Very nice video and excellent instruction. After your clear explanations and focused demonstration, I was able to clearly understand the tactic of using the backhand loop against a backspin return, or using the backhand topspin against the topspin drive. I can't wait to try this out. Thank you.

He is shooting the ball with his backhand 😁 amazing 👍
Greetings from Guayaquil, Ecuador. I would be very grateful if you added the reflection of your movements (you are left-handed) after each of the educational segments of your videos. If you do it would be a great training complement for right-handed table tennis players. Thank you very much for the attention you give to this suggestion.
Hi from New Zealand. You have a very natural looking backhand thanks for sharing... Currently I am practicing hitting ball against a board on oppersite side of table due to being in lockdown. May I ask when you are bringing your arm back (to start the shot) as the wrist snaps back naturally.. Then when you start the motion forward with your arm.....are you using your thumb to help bend the wrist forward or are you using the very end of the bat handle as leverage where in contact with your palm of hand.. I can use one or the other.. Which do you use??
The backhand loop technique is very important in table tennis because it is a powerful and aggressive shot that can put pressure on your opponent and win points. The backhand loop involves hitting the ball with a looping motion using your non-dominant hand, creating a lot of topspin and speed on the ball. The backhand loop can be used to attack different types of balls, such as backspin, topspin, or no-spin, and can be played from different distances, such as close to the table or far from the table
Great video as usual, can you do a video on blocking please, like blocking spiny slow loop vs power loop vs basic drive shots please? Thanks and keep up the good work.
i think i know how to do this with the penhold grip without rpb : use the waist as a pivot point the speed has to come from a forward motion from the elbow but your thumb behind the racket to close it's angle add a fast but not sudden wrist flick that has to be moving upward but not forward by itself try getting the motion correctly add speed and strength latter *edit the rest is identical
it is hard to contact the ball on top especially when you have to move in a game in and out and side to side. Developing a nice clean BH drive and block and BH topspin against backspin would be more important. After those are developed BH topspin against block or BH counter spin against topspin will be a bit easier to do(meaning in motion and in speed and in unpredictability element)
In practice, when playing, hitting the ball on the peak of the bounce is almost impossible. You should continuously calculate the trajectory of the coming ball (almost impossible most of the time) and continuosly move backwards and forward to reach the peak.
Mantaap bener. Jelas untuk belajarnya, karena praktek berulang ulang dan ada slomotionnya. Kalo boleh tau pake bad apa ya dan kira2 harga berapa. Terimakasih
what is the direction of movement when playing backhand topspin off the bounce and backhand topsing vs backspin.. Is it straight, straight up, straight sideways and up.
Does anyone know the name of this player from the videos on this channel? He's very good, looks like Lin Yun Ju's style, I would like to see videos of him playing an official game.
Hey. Just a silly question. When you day weight transfer from the right leg to left, this is for left-hand players right? For right-hand players, should weight transfer be from left to right leg when playing backhand loop?
Hey guys! 🤙 I'm about to get a pair of mizuno Wave drive 8 from Ebay, which size should i get? I have read in some reviews that they fit Big in lenght! Please help me
In your videos you often write something like "...the racket angle is ...x degrees". What do you mean by that ? Which axis is it and what is 0 degrees ?
Your starting point in the first few instruction clips (1:25 and 1:38) are NOT the same as the ones you show a few seconds later (1:44). It is apparent when you can see the forehand rubber (black) during your backswing on the backhand.
How come in your instructions you say to use your hip to rotate and to generate force, but in your different angles, you do not do what you said to do??
The wrist should be used, but only as the icing on the cake. There is much more in these shots. Many players use their wrists and forget to rotate the waist, to move the forearm...
@@knechtbarnabas2269 In the backhand most of the energy comes from the forearm. You can (should) add hip rotation, weight transfer, shoulder and wrist.
It's Hugo Calderano!
Hahaha, i hope someday i could play against Hugo with 2 hand backhand :)

I noticed that you were further away from the table when doing the backhand spin against blocked balls. I must make a note of that. GREAT video!

Are two hands even allowed in Table tennis ?? lol was very funny
I noticed that your grip for backhand loop is really close, then if you had to a forehand topspin/drive, do you modify your grip?
Yes indeed...
actualy when i grip when playing forehand loop is more close than the backhand bro ^^
It doesn't work like that, but good luck.
i was watching your video while a racket in my hand :)
While watching the video, I unconsciously started practicing the backhand swing with my racket xD

Just realized you're a lefty. The best backhands I've played against were all left handed players.
In your videos you often write something like "...the racket angle is ...x degrees". What do you mean by that ? Which axis is it and what is 0 degrees ?
This look like Michael Chang in 1989 with the double hand backstroke in tennis. I didn't realized it's also used on table tennis.
Hay lắm!

why did you cut your forehand rubber so tiny?
How to switch down the line with backhand?
