I have to disagree with that. You have to understand that her brain is still in "survival mode" and all that "calmness" you see is probably due to the fact that she went from "hell" to experiencing overwhelming acceptance and attention for the first time. But remember! She is deeply traumatised, and she probably mistakes the "media attention" for kindness, when in reality they see her as a money making machine! I'm afraid that all that media attention is gonna damage her even more eventually. Maybe not now, but don't be surprised if you hear some "tragic news" in a few years.

Then forced us into a religion and church that wasn't ours and had permission to physically discipline us "within reason." And the in-between shelters were just as bad. The County knew what was going on, the Police refused to believe the girl, Child Services refused to do anything for years while knowing about this (again this is a VERY common problem in our world, CPS does NOT actually protect children most of the time and end up putting them into abusive homes because they get a kickback from the parents for putting the kids with them). When I heard about this, I was not surprised at all honestly. I have an Uncle who's worked in a boys home for several years now, I even went to school with some of them and they were drug dealers, tweakers, wannabe gang bangers or kids who genuinely just had issues trusting others (like one who torched his whole ass house hoping to kill his abusive parents). Whenever a kid goes off to a home, they usually end up back at the boys home until they turn 18 because the family will abuse them or try to force them to work for them so they can keep the money from adopting children while doing nothing in return.

I was thinking the same thing! They should have been handled with extreme caution and surveillance, placing them in the very best and loving foster families!! ( although tall children deserve that) Their lack of care tells you everything you need to know about how wicked and corrupt that system is. The foster care system should be torn apart, exposed for their crimes and rebuilt with the best people who actually care and love children.

And she's grown a lot, from this shy, scared and disorientated 17-year-old girl to this confident and empowered young woman in her 20s. She deserves all the happiness and peace after all this ordeal she went through for the first 17 years of her life, and her siblings too, it's so sad that after all the abuse they suffered by their parents, they're still being subject to abuse from others, I hope they can all get out of that place as soon as possible, they don't deserve this, no one does. True. In my country, the system doesn't allow for only one child to be adopted. ALL of the siblings should be adopted by same parent. They're not allowed to be separated. There's also extensive background check on the foster parents, etc.

This is so amazing to see after what all of the children went through. I hope they all have absolutely amazing lives to make up for the trauma they endured for so long.

I'm happy for her and hope she continues to prosper. I think she has such an innocent and caring soul from the interviews I have seen of her.
Hope her and her family do well.
