    Don’t tell your wife guitars is who I also use for all emg stuff.
    He has personally walked me through wiring and preemptively sent me info on best practices all or common mis-ordering of parts and ensuring they are correct.
    Also, this bass looks sick!

    I have a sub series ray5....imma definitely give it this relic look. Definitely looks amazing, I actually always wanted to give my bass a unique look to give off a "This is my own unique bass and no one has it, but me" Look. Thank you for this idea

    beautiful bass, I dont know why Fender doesn’t sell something like this…

      Thanks man! Yeah, fender doesnt deviate from classics very often in clean ways like this. A PJ Bass in a Jazz body is something I've never seen be made by them. Missed opportunity.

      I mean, what I created is substantially cheaper, and exactly what I wanted with my exact specs & parts. No reason to buy a pre-built bass just to mod the parts out!

    Nice video. I am building something similar. Any issues with pots not being long enough to fit through a rear rout body?

    • @BennetPlaysBass
      @BennetPlaysBass  6 месяцев назад

      I would say no issues imo.
      Some people may prefer the potz to stick out farther from the wood, have more space to screw on, but it has never proven to be an issue, never fallen out or become unscrewed, so it's a non issue.

    Great project! Now I also want to relic one of my bass guitars

      Thanks for the kind words mate! Glad to inspire. It is difficult to do on an already finished guitar. Will have to burn thru a lot of sand paper to do that. If you do the paint yourself, obviously its easier since its just the single coat. Also you can re-add paint if you over do it.

    I’m thinking on routing my esp ltd b10 bass to fit an emg mm pickup to go with my p bass pickups

    What was the trickiest part ? I always wanted to make a parts bass

    • @BennetPlaysBass
      @BennetPlaysBass  10 месяцев назад +1

      I'll be honest, very simple. As long as you plan it all out, and take it slow, it end up great

    If you get the correct size tuner posts for the headstock, those ultralight tuners shouldn't need any ferules.
    On another note, that is a great looking fretboard! I see you said it was a knockoff, where did you get it?

    • @BennetPlaysBass
      @BennetPlaysBass  Год назад

      This is true, but gotoh only makes this size for the light ones. It's a lot cheaper to get these and ferrules than fenders brand ones. Why I went for em.
      Yeah, this neck is from some knockoff seller on eBay. A quick search you'll find a bunch of stores selling fender necks shipped from china

      @@BennetPlaysBass I thought so and bought one of those, but instead of real inlays, they were stickers :)
