Hey mate. Thanks for sharing. I have noticed that your reel are always more expensive than the rod. What's your views on spending more on rod than reel? I have heard reel isn't too important, most have enough drag and do just fine.
Depends what fish you're targeting when it comes to reels. Fish that fight dirty like kingies or GTs will require more drag. Clean fighters line longtail tuna & spanish mackerels, not so much. I buy rods that feel good for me, not based on brand or price. So I would suggest go to the store & get a feel of the rods.
Enjoy watching the videos bro, but ive never rock fished before but is something i would love to get into What would you say are safe rock fishing conditions? Like swell height, wind, weather, etc. Thanks for your time!
Hi Accee, I've been thinking of getting a new reel, so I'll film myself spooling it and give some tips. What reel do you have and what kind of fishing do you do?
You would get more than 300m, you can possibly go 80lb without backing. If you go 60lb, you will need some mono backing. We use blackmagic or jinkai leaders. Does the job.
Cuzz I bought the shimano maikuro 10-24, just wanted to ask yuh I wanna get the new shimano spheros should I go for the 8000 size or 1000 it’s got the same size and weight as the saragosa and because you’ve got the 8000 I was thinking would the spheros 8000 be a perfect fit or should I go one size up, I’m gonna be using it for casting lures off the rocks for salmon tailor Bonito kingies need your advice habib
10k was too heavy for me. I think the Spheros has a slower retrieve ratio than the gosa, so the gosa is better for lures. If you're casting all day, go with 8k.
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew thanks akhi wallah you made my day the 8000 felt perfect weight for casting all day the 10k is more for boat and bait, wanted to get the gosa but it’s out of budget so said I’ll just get the spheros 8k thanks brother for always replying and helping out jazakallah khayr
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew thanks cuzzy we are going for kingies, mackerel, bonito and Ofcourse the occasional jewy the 10-24kg looks perfect well priced plugging rod, is it ok to cast out with and stuff like that cuzzy?
You're right Jim Ferdy. I bought my Saragosa 5000 for around $240 (pre-sale price, but alsi had discount offer) at BCF last year. Now it's gone up to $296. Not sure what's going on.
I know I am late to this video but sure did give me an idea on what kind of rods to use for bugger lure. Cheers!
You need more followers! Ive watched and learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work champ! 👍👍
Thanks Fernan. Good to know that my videos can help you out. Cheers

Thanks for the tips mate!
Can you do a tutorial on how to spool line to a new reel and what strength you use?
Hi Accee, I've been thinking of getting a new reel, so I'll film myself spooling it and give some tips. What reel do you have and what kind of fishing do you do?
on the 8000 and the 5000 setup what line are you using?
For 8000 normally 40-60lb, and for 5000 I use 20-30lb braid.
What lb braid or mono you put on the saragosa 8000? I'm thinking of getting a 10000 and not sure what to put on
I would have been using Sunline PE braid 60lb at that time. I would recommend Daiwa Jbraid 60lb 300m. You would probably need some backing.
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew how much 60 lb braid do you think would go on the 10000 sadagosa? And what leader would you recommend I get?

Your right about that but within your budget some guys buy expensive rod and reels just to say they have it 🤙🤙🤙

That's the 10-24kg. The 6-8kg I use with the 5000 Saragosa. What are you targeting?
