I love Seiler Pianos, the quality, durability, action and sound are awesome. Bought the 116 Ritmo several years ago and can’t stop playing it. Greetings from Germany
What a beautiful piano! I love it when companies try to bring in modern but still classy design ideas into their instruments. I also noticed you expanding your test piece, very nice!
This is the kind of piano/sound the recording studios like...because they cut through the mix really well. Beautiful craftsmanship ! P.s. those last high notes are scary powerful !! It should play the Exorcist OST very well 😂
That’s funny. It sounded almost like a combination of a celesta and a piano. You know like a split keyboard, one sound at the high range and another on the low end. It isn’t clearly. But you now what I mean. But indeed gorgeous looking piano with a good sparky sound. Nice. Thank you for sharing and playing.
What an elegant piano! Belongs in a classy high end home. Wondering if the closeness to the wall changes the timbre of the piano and if the back was exposed would give a different tone. Thanks for another great tour!
That is indeed a very exciting piano, and sound very good for an upright! Would you mind reviewing some Kawai Uprights? I have a K15 with a modern design which I like a lot. They advertise their Millennium III Action on the higher end pianos. I'd love to know whether it's better than the current wooden actions. Thanks
Hi James, thanks beyond everything about what you do and what you share, jusr wonder about when you'll be in total harmony with "around you" ? No proof, no nothing, just your talent and nothing else.... I hope you'll get it verrrry positive ! With lots of love / JC
ahahaha finally you tried the sugarplum fairy for the highest keys, you nailed it 😜 btw this piano is one of the best uprights made in Germany, I don't think you can obtain more from an upright at all. The other great upright manufacturer is Sauter
The treble sounds absolutely awesome, that's what I quite miss on my (albeit amazing) Stingl Original from 1920. But, TBH, I don't like the design. I much prefer traditional, standard black upright. I understand why many people like modern touch, but for me it's quite pretentious
Hi James. Thank you for this video. I wondered whether you would be able to help me estimate the value of a Seiler piano my parents own and are trying to sell. I have some photos and a serial number, but I'm unsure about which model it would be. Would I be able to share them with you to have your opinion about it? Thank you.
A pretty piano to be sure, James. However you completely overlooked what the SMR stands for. It stands for "Super Magnet Repitition". It is a patented feature that uses small magnets built into the action to increase repitition speed.
This channel is so underrated.

That piano is a STATEMENT.

It’s energetic, since it’s all about the tone(s). Wow.

I actually really liked the sound of the piano; I was surprised.

I absolutely love the bright sound and I also love the look. I would give anything to have one of those
I love it! Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful to learn about the unique piano. Sounds like your test piece is growing. It is lovely.
Wow, what a beautiful unique piano
HOLY that high treble is awesome....
that is such a beautiful piano
Beautiful case! and sounds nice over my laptop speakers. Love that test piece of yours, not sure I've ever mentioned that . . .
This really helps me take my mind off of COVID. Thanks! Great Job!
The wood veneer is macassar, also available for some Bechstein pianos.
I've always loved typical black pianos, but Seiler sure has reeeally beautiful designs. This is a great example
The best sound I’ve ever heard from a piano! 👍
Kinda sounds like an old lady piano that’s been sitting in her basement for one year without getting tuned.

I love how your playing is amazing but you remain modest and don't show it off. I enjoy listening to your performance of clair de lune.
Very beautiful!

I work at Seiler and we built one of those lately!
That is awesome!
Wow I love the sound!!!!!!
Teak 'n tigerwood? Crisp highs and distinct, resonant mids and lows. Beautiful.
I love his videos and now have a whole lot of knowledge about pianos and I don't even know how to play one.
Very nice
"Dont know what this is, but it really pretty"
It's a piano
LOL he was literally saying that when I read this comment!
Sounds really good. I want it lol

the base is great a rounded sound not easy to find in an upright piano
ahahaha finally you tried the sugarplum fairy for the highest keys, you nailed it 😜

On the Debussy piece it sounds like a the piano which Liberace played Clair de Lune on, which was of course was a Baldwin piano.

Many thanks for this review! Personally, I don’t like it... Maybe because it looks too massive. Would be curious to see it in white color.
