      Google implicit racism, Jordan Belfort is not some expert on sociology. He might seem like an expert in everything to the birds, but in the academic world that is specific form of racism. In which you implicitly discriminate against people i.e. without actively thinking about it. That he threw in sex, just expands it to implicit sexism.
      And he's asking questions about the book, that's how professional CTG is. He's the only person who reads the whole book and ask specific and challenging questions about shit he doesn't understand or agree with. Then you snowflakes start crying or think that it's some hustle or about putting people in their place.

      Yeah I agree with him 💯. When I used to work at this company in Customer Service a lot of the Latinos and Black People felt more comfortable speaking to me. I could sell the products to then much easier because they felt more comfortable speaking to me in Spanish, or because I knew what products was good for their hard type, etc. A lot of different things go into it. I don't think he meant it in a bad way. Same thing if I go to a salon I would gravitate to someone who is Black or Latino because they know how to handle my hair.

      ayumitakashi this was the opposite for me at my last job. Im black and the majority of my sales came from whites. particularly foreign whites. It was kind of a scammy job (crap product for insane amount of money) and I think that I subconsciously didn't go hard with black leads because it felt like I was actually scamming them and never pushed the sale...

      @TheNoviceUrbanGardener 7 лет назад +6

      Jojos Mom Yeah I was at an e-commerce place we sold everything related to hair/hair care (brushes, flat irons, shampoos, etc). We had to "push" certain products but I know how long these products lasted so you know I was honest with most of the people calling in and directed them to product and tools that would actually work. I still had a lot of customers buy from there but maybe that played a.part in them letting me go. Me not pushing those crappy flat irons a day blow dryers. Me talking to them as if I knew them for years played a part in them calling back and asking specifically for me. It always doesn't work like that, but I find that a lot of the times we do gravitate towards someone that looks or that we can relate too.
