I’m just binging on old Jonas videos after finding out about his passing. He seems so friendly and cheerful in all of them. It’s adorable seeing him and his wife Heather always being so lovely with each other too. I’m so fucking sad. Rest easy Jonas.

This furthers that the worst thing in the Tetris community is still the passing of Jonas.
If you watch the replay closely Greentea actually had the right RNG to win that last game on level 29, would have been incredible if he'd pulled off that final tetris to win by ~2000 points.
Classic Tetris: Not many people could've done that, though... and frankly, the only reason you're even talking about the realism of both setting up and scoring another tetris at level 29 is because of Joseph's accomplishments in the last year :P Poet13xRatedRKO: it only takes a couple very minor line clears from there, which *is* doable (which is also why by the end of the game, greentea was at -34540 rather than -38740)
Wow, it's a pretty informative video for me. I finally figured out the story behind the strong bond between you and Spanish viewers which formed recently, then I was a bit surprised at you already enjoying a glass of sherry wine, chatting in fluent Spanish XD

Greentea sliding that i-piece over the one he just misdropped was one of my favorite moments from the tournament. It's cool to see your breakdown of the matches and find out what moments stuck out to you.

That last game against GreenTea… man your fate was not in your hands at those last seconds... I felt like you at that moment... Jonas you have to find a way to play even a little bit at lvl29! (easier said than done)... I know it is very fast, but only by watching, I have the impression that you think, „done, kill secreen, now what‘s my opponent doing“ then „waaaaahh“... Joseph is already Training for that!
Jonas got level 30 before. That's about as good as he'll ever get, because the only way to survive killscreen for a prolonged time is by hypertapping, and Jonas can't do that (arthritis problems running through family)

Hi Jonas, serious question. Do you think there are versions (maybe even the one you are playing) that have the spin of the square written in their code, but you just can't see the spin because of the nature of the square (being the same on all sides)?
(Replace "o" with "square" or "block" as you wish.) Actually in most modern tetris games o-spin is in the game and can be viewed by how it delays piece lock on a surface. Lilla oshisaure, using a broken mode in Puyo Puyo Tetris, actually managed to use a failsafe in the o-spin code of the game to make a real o-spin.

at 33:07 the red piece to the left, the T to the right, then the line. But he would still have been down by about 2000 points (-38740+36000)
