Yeah 6 hours would be plenty fine, honestly you can still fry the rice while it’s hot it’s just easier to break up when it’s cold. Thank you so much for watching!
I actually have gotten away from vegetable, canola, soybean ect. Oils as well. I have stated using avocado oil for pretty much everything, I highly recommend it!

Yes definitely, honestly sometimes when I’m in a hurry I will just use hot rice. The final texture will be a bit different, but not bad at all. Hope this helps, thank you so much for watching!
I’m always craving for fried rice! Now I know what I’ll cook in this week’s prep meals🤞🏻You should make a vid on a burger with a Kyo twist on it 👀 Keep the amazing content coming man!
The end result looks amazing I just have trouble trusting you if you don’t use the finger measurement for your rice. Tbh of the 3 fried rice videos I’ve watched this is probably the method and general ingredients that I will go with.
All up to you, this recipe is just a basic traditional Hibachi restaurant style fried rice. But feel free to add whatever you like! Thanks for watching!
Oh gosh Athens, GA !!... I just got it ... Man ! The settlers really couldn't be original while choosing the names for "their" new world's cities ! 😁 Kind of lame isn't it. Thank you for the recipe, always great quality
That all depends on how much you eat I guess. I could eat this in 2 meals, but you could probably make it into 3 or 4 especially if you’re adding meat to it. I hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Yes you can, it will definitely be a little bit stickier though. I recommend long grain for fried rice, but if you can’t find it then that will work just fine. Thank you for watching!
You can, but it will change the flavor quite a bit. If you are wanting a healthier alternative that won’t change the flavor I would recommend avocado oil. Thanks for watching!
Yep, no need to cook them. The residual heat from everything will take care of it. Please give it a try, I hope you love it. Thank you so much for watching!
You definitely can, although you will probably need to use quite a bit more oil, and also be careful about you heat adjustments to prevent sticking. I hope this helps, thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much! I try to use my knowledge from years of working in Japanese restaurants to give y’all accurate recipes. I’m glad you recognize that, it’s much appreciated!
I definitely understand, Fortunately most soy sauce company’s make a low sodium version and the actually taste great. Just make sure that it’s “brewed” Thank you so much for watching!
You don’t have to use cold rice, but it is preferred for the texture that it creates. If you don’t want to wait or don’t have the time you can definitely use the fresh cooked rice straight out of the cooker. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
@@cookingwithkyo5744 I ended up making the fried rice separately as I was worried both combined would be too salty. This is delicious on it's own and very filling. Thanks for sharing!
This is because he washes the rice, so during the wash, the rice is soaking in water. If you are not washing your rice, do the amount on the bag of rice, imo.
Lol, my dad taught me the hand measurement which is what I usually do. But for the sake of consistency and to make it easier for people to read as a recipe I just use the 1:1 method. Thank you, so much for watching!
Too big a recipe for that size pan. Uncle Roger is screaming in agony somewhere. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This closely resembles my technique, but cut the amount of onion considerably, and cook the whites of the green onion in the oil with the garlic, and don’t add the greens until the end, as garnish.
Please give it a try and use the exact recipe Ive shown. Key points to make sure are to use, long grain rice, washed thoroughly, and in a rice cooker. Trust me, it works every time 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
Real Hibachi restaurants are originally Japanese owned. We don’t typically add MSG to anything except for what is naturally derived from foods like kombu (sea kelp). Don’t get me wrong I love Chinese food, and uncle Roger, but there is a big difference in the 2 cuisines. Anyway, thank you for watching!
