I know less of screen printing but much in Photoshop, you can separate every color of the CMYK with a click. Each one will go onto its own panel and then you can save them as needed. In the channels frame where you see all the CMYK you are working within this video, there is a mark in the upper right of that panel, click it and then click SPLIT CHANNELS, this puts them all in a window of their own where you can name and save them.

Thanks
Wow, Finally someone showing us , How to step by step.Thank you. I been trying to fig out how it was done. Writing everything down. Can't wait for your next video....Gracias..
Thank you Janet Diaz.
Great job!!! you made this look so easy. Thanks for the breakdown… preppin ma brain to begin screen printing... gonna go live for my first print!! stay tuned... if nothing else you will be entertained!
Thank you. Just subscribed to your channel. I will check it out.
@@tainoink Sir plz made video on spot color separation and printing
@@tainoink hi, Are the values you provided valid for the photographs? Cmyk for
you keep it real simple terms, i like the way u teaching....
Thank you. And thank you for subscribing. 👍
you can separate the channels with a single click. while in channels you click the three lines in the upper right corner of channels., then choose Split Channel, it will create each one in its own document.
Coolio!! I am going to play around with some images!! You are the real deal!!
Hey first off greetings and blessings to you and your family Thank you for the tips, been subscribed over a year now. I'm starting out with screen printing and thank you for the encouragement and support videos. About to branch out and practice a halftone screen.
Amazing work sir! I'm screen printer myself and your videos seem to be very helpful. I'm a artist as well. I love to draw. I have the accurip software that I use to print my half tones. I've never tried using the CMYK method yet and this is very helpful.
Thanks TAINO INK. it helps me a lot.
Bro you just opened a flood gate for me. Thank you!!!
You can also add a text box with "Cyan" "Magenta" "Yellow" "Black" in photoshop for each film. I put the name of the color in a small font right next to the center registration mark before I print out.
Thanks Tim. Makes sense. Good one!
Good job Man, i really like that episode. Cheers!
Thanks homie
Just started following good stuff i have the same set up as u do. Just pumped me up to start again. Thanks and God bless
Thank you for subscribing. Thanks and God bless.
New subscriber here love your channel and all the detail you give out thank you
Great tutorial...do the same halftone cmyk angles apply if your doing a RGB color print? Or are they different angles for rgb color prints? Thanks
Wow amazing work
Thank you.
Cool I can understand your tutorial keep it up
What kind of mesh are you using? Can I do this with 155 mesh? Or does it gotta be a higher mesh number? Thank you! You are the goat man!
Awesome video. I'm about to do my first CMYK print. I need to step up my level.🤘
Thank you.
Can u make a video on software, like the computer set up amd how to put on registration marks on multiple color jobs...
¿????If you are printing on a black shirt, how to create a white base for the process?
Love it!!! Good job ps I'm still stuck on SPOTS COLOR
What would be the difference if you have to change angle for different colors
For the frequency does it have to be a smaller number for smaller mesh numbers or will 60 be ok to use? or does it base it on the holes in the screens?
First of all awesome videos 👍👍👍👍. I have a question how do you add the registration marks on the transparency's?
I use Corel Draw to make the CMYK seps. Print each separate chanel to an EPS file (print to Device independent Post Script file instead of choosing a printer). This way I can control the screen angle and frequency. Then using the old versions of Ghost Script and Ghost View you can print the EPS separations one by one using any supported printer on your system: I use an old B1100 A3 and inkjet posi film. The cheapest way to get the posi films is to buy a big roll and ask the suplier to cut it into smaller A3+ wide rolls. Cheap black ink in every cartridge and I'm Bob's nephew. I have been achieving great results in the range of 55 to 65 lpi (55 is a good place to start) with 120T (metric) yellow mesh screens. Single coat of emulsion on the back of the screen so it gets pushed to the front where it gets the light and makes contact with the film. It is important to get the exposure time right as well. You have no compensation for dot gain with this method and you can only separate to CMYK but I have been printing great separations this way. If I am printing on white shirts without white underbase I need to add clear base to the inks and test it, otherwise the prints tend to come out a bit dark. On white underbase the print tends to be lighter and usually there is no need to add clear base to the ink. If anybody wants to know more about this just ask me.
Thank you. Wow! Great info Antonio! Thank you for sharing. This will help a lot of printers. Good looking.
@@tainoink QuickSeps is well worth checking. They offer deals frequently and it seems good value for what they claim it does. You can do duotone seps, simulated process seps, spot colour seps, control dot gain, colour trapping, etc... Maybe it will take sometime to get used to it. I downloaded the trial version and feel inclined to wait for another sale to buy it, just need to fiddle with the trial a bit more.
Great video sir!! You made it so simple now I’m wondering what’s the purpose of using rip software when you can just do what you did. And are you using water base or plastisol? Last question, are you using original epson ink for your 1430?
Thank you. I'm using plastisol and I use the original epson ink.
One what is the angel and hiw do you figure it out?
Man before i die i would love to get to meet you, because its too much money to be made im jst in dieing need to be around something positive that is in the field of my dreams🙏🏾✊🏾
How long do you wait to wash out image after you wet screen from being exposed?
Screen xpose image 6 CLR plate doing videos plz sir
When I copy and Paste then using grayscale the image changes.. it looks nothing like the CYMK image
You should try eliptical dots with all 22.5 angle at 55lpi. Use all 305 mesh
Thank you for sharing. I most definitely will try that. Thank you👍
Hahahaha what's that plugged into your computer at the beginning of the video bruh? Respect from Oregon! keep up the good vibes,
What emulsion for CMYK?
well this didn work for me because the layer that i printed out isnt fully black so light goes tru while exposing. may someone help or struggle on the same thing
I have a Epson 1430 but for some reason it doesn't come out. Can you show ur setting of your printer when ur going to print your film
JUST SUBSCRIBED
Gracias! Ramon Garcia.
Hey Bra, just revisited this vid. Do you use RIP or straight through all black ciss printer? Thanks man. Still Lovin ya
How do you get the registration marks on your film after you do the CMYK? please show me how to do that.
How you add the marks on the clear film.?
You have to create them in photoshop and create the design in between the Registration lines.
Thx
Do you need a rip software to print? Or straight from photoshop
It will be better using a rip software but since I don't print a lot of images using halftones I could get way from not having it. But if you have to print without it you could get by. The thing about that software is that it's expensive.
Can I use same procedure on raster images?
I think so. I've never done it but it should work. Keep me posted if it does. I would like to know. Great question by the way.
Great video and so helpful!! What is the Dot Gain 20% color profile? Do I need to set that up?
Thank you. I didn't have to set it up. Photoshop does it automatically.
Taino Ink thank you. I will check mine.
Question what if i only have 2 colors. Like White and Red ... ? I was deleting the black channel that kinda messed up things ..so i undeleted. **Just testing here....
That formula is only for full color designs. Anything less than four colors won't work. Those you will need to break it down individually.
I will make a video on that soon. How to breakdown a two or three or four color print. I tried that idea once. You are not alone.
@@tainoink where did you purchase your cymk kit?
Is it for water based? Or plastisol ink?
sir can you help me..sir how to make waterbase white colour for dark fabric?
Thanks for subscribing. Zakir. I haven't get to printing waterbased inks yet. Thinking about using it soon.
Reat video but u did not show how to get your registration marks please show it
Like your video sir..but my question why not just split the channels instead copying one by one?
Thank you. I split tube channels for the reason that I don't have the rip software yet.
😂 took me a minute to understand what you were talking about whenever you said cyan like that. You’re saying cyan like you would cayenne as in the pepper. Cayenne is pronounced Kai-en, like how you’re saying. Cyan is pronounced sai-an 😂 just thought that was funny. 👍
It's a lot quicker to just split the channels instead of copy and paste.
Oh. Great idea. Thanks. Makes sense. I will try it out. Good looking.
I do almost exactly the same steps but do split channels. Very good video Taino
What size mesh do you use for CMYK Prints? Is it 300 all the time?
I use 230 mesh most of the time. The 230 mesh holds better than the 305 mesh.
The frequency for 230 is 46
Taino Ink thanks, may God bless you more than he already has
What are you supposed to save the half tone images as ? because I have to got get it printed at a kinkos
Save it as a cmyk image and I think the file should be saved as a pdf file.
Taino Ink ok kool thnx bro 💪🏾✅
what printer do you use? do you have a RIP software?
Epson artisan 1430. No RIP software. A bit too expensive for me at this moment. lol
I feel you bro. I use to like the 1430 epson but here in South Africa its not available but now i see there is a better printer than 1430 the Canon Pixma Pro 100 and is supported by Accurip ruby but still accurip ruby is expensive for me too bro. Dont even have Separation Studio 🤦🏼♂️
I heard that the Canon Pixma Pro is a really good printer.
You can just hit split channels and it will put all the separate colors on their own pages. You don’t need to copy and and all that stuff. Save you some time. Otherwise great video.
Are those fluorescent tubes in the exposure unit?
@Bradley Hill. Yeah. Blue and yellow tubes.
What mesh do you use for half tone CMYK printing?
230 mesh count

White Kimberly Lopez Thomas Thomas Carol

Its si-ann. Cyan. Not ki-ann
Yeah. Funny thing is that my lady told me how is pronounced before I did the video and I still pronounced it wrong. lol
Pronounced cyan | ˈsʌɪən | not cayenne | keɪˈɛn |
