Can we all be brutally honest here and admit that this guitar playing is way up there with absolutely everybody that has ever played the guitar. Great command of the instrument, great songwriting, great performance. Just plain solid... the verve of it all!
Amazing, amazing! Just love her and her music. She's so nice too. Just does her own thing, thank goodness, as there's so much nonsense out there! Still going strong!
@Timothy - She has a YT channel. All of her albums are available here. She continues to play blues guitar and one of her more recent albums is all blues, on electric.
@Bennytet glad you liked it. The live recording is on the album "Steppin Out" (‼) that was also recorded in 1979 somewhere in "North America". It´s one of my favourite albums of all time. I don´t really know if it´s available on CD as well. Cheers.
@@DAS1962 I do! I love this song and their lack of enthusiasm sucks! Also, I think this was in some way a response to someone else's comment/query about the album... I don't remember the exact context anymore.
The audience had no idea what they were watching. I think The Rockpalast producers forced 50 young people from a nearby school into the studio to applaude. I watch this video from time to time in order to confirm for myself that the performances of today's artists and talentshow are so poor...
Wow! I saw Joan in 1979 on a German Simulcast concert called "Rockpalst" I was not a fan of Joan but I was impressed with her performance to remember her 35 years later. Thanks to fans and youtube, here is her outstanding performance!!!

Oh you're so right, dear Joan!! Stepping out of emotions and steppin' in to Life 😍
She's a superb guitarist!
Her earlier stuff than this was just pure guitar blues.... She was very underrated as a guitarist
