Thanks! I wouldn’t say it’s inherently “better” than the Tascams, but you can find them much cheaper than a Tascam from time to time. Just be careful, because a lot of them on eBay are in Japan and will cost you more in customs…. unless you’re in Japan, then go for it! Ha

I think I found one specialist who is restoring the old tape machines, 4-tracks included, and he's also buying the units or parts himself, so it will be one invoice for everything for me. That's why I was curious about the differences because I think, he can have both machines available in his workshop.
