#rc #airplane #f18
I have had this plane for a while now (the other livery but still the same plane) and learned a lot with it from a fellow turbine pilot. He said that these birds need full flaps to take off because of the gear being so far behind the cg... once I did that the take offs were a thing of beauty to behold! It just rises off the ground now! As soon as its in the air gear up flaps up and its perfect. Also this plane sounds amazing!! I have 3 hornets and this one is the most scale of them all! Its so much fun! Forces you to land the best you can every time! Also... no flare... carrier style flown to the ground. Also the only pack I use is an HRB 6s 50c 6000 pack. Tried a 5000 and it never felt right. Landing requires up to half throttle to keep it at the right speed... another thing like the F-16s you need to get the plane into the landing attitude to get it slowed down for landing. Otherwise it sails on by. Once you get used to it you will see what I mean.... great thorough video!! Wow!! You covered it all!!!
I have another video too, we flew as low as 3200mAh and it was awwwwwesome! Takeoffs and Landings from the driveway. Soon I will be giving sunburn with the F-18 too, thanks to someone ;)
This was really solid advice. I have this jet and it's one of my favorites to fly. The sound is incredible. I fly mine with a 4500 pushed to the back battery strap to the front. You have to fly it in with the nose high power on and full flaps. It will land slow and in control every time. Take off full flaps. Get rid of the missiles lol
It's so funny you mentioned the pliers. I quickly learned, even new into the hobby, to carry needle nose in my battery bag . So true
Look here mister, you've got to stop with these long ass videos. I've pissed away the last 3 WEEKENDS because......... I'm hooked. Really though, GREAT videos. Very informative and entertaining. You've helped me a great deal with deciding on planes, equipment, and flying tips. To you and your camera crew, great job.
Thanks Tommy L - I promise to try to ruin many more of your weekends ;) LOL
They had us in the first half ngl
He's got me too!
I was flying my jet hubu because I,m still learning and missed the runway and said to my self I suck but now I don,t feel so bad since you missed it because you can fly anything LOL and wow you have guts to fly on that small road really no room for era you do a great job and good camera work too I,m learning a lot Thanks
Thanks Gary! Everyone misses the runway from time to time, especially if you're flying off a 10 foot wide paved driveway. Most flying fields are 3-4 times longer, and 2-3 times wider. I have a lot of money sunk into that driveway, and we're about to put more into it too ;) It's gonna be cool!
Brian Big Skies!
Amazing scale and sound, great flying. I can imagine taking My eyes of this Beast for a second and never seeing it again.
Great review and show. Way outta My Class yet. Awesome stuff, thanks Ace.
Thanks a lot!
Hello Brian! This is one of the most impressive models I've seen you flying! E-flite really made an extraordinary Blue Angel version! Great video and awesome flight! :)
Yeah, it's awesome, and thanks!!!
That was awesome. You do a great job as usual and camera crew was awesome also. Keep up the good works.
Thank you very much!
You are the man! Using the road as a runway and fly over private land.
Yeah...mine? yes ;)
The assembly of the model is as interesting as seeing it fly. Thanks for this long video.
Glad you liked it! I always question sharing this part of the experience, as it can be very tedious and sometimes frustrating. Thanks for the feedback!!!
Awesome Brian! I love your reviews man. This one is was epic! Super cool to see you rip that big 80mm blue angel down your road! Takes some commitment for sure haha Thanks for making this an easy decision to add to the hangar!
Awesome! You'll love it. P.S. We have another video coming all takeoffs and landings from the Driveway ;)
Childhood memories of those blue angels ❤❤ looks amazing!!!!!!
Gotta love the F-18..sounds great too! She looks &sounds so scale
Totally agree!
Love the sound and looks of that jet 👍🏼
Me too! Can't wait to hear a TWIN 80mm!!!
Totally awesome plane! Mine came last week! Love these long videos, so much good info here!
Glad you like them! I always wonder how much my audience will tolerate ;)
Haha ya well if I'm not flying, I'm watching videos of other people flying. and here in south dakota it's usually very windy so I get a lot of video watching in! ;)
Great review Bryan, as always lots to love about this plane. I'm not super excited about the main landing gear but over all an awesome product.
You and me both! Main gear bogeys are game changers on this plane!!!
Great video and nice landings! I had a 64MM hornet and it flew like it was on rails. Great model indeed!
Thanks a lot!
Love that jet whistle sound on it during low altitude fly over
100% So dang cool!!!
Awesome video and thanks for the knowledge! I think it’s the way it sounds when you fly it almost like a real turbine. I Just bought this plane and it’s on its way!
Nice! You'll love it!
It sounds awesome!
I totally agree!!!
Finally the one I've been waiting for!, I love this plane and I've always wanted a blue angels but after watching this video I don't think I'm going to attempt it , maybe one day I will buy one to put on the Shelf. It's a good thing you used the road! You had me scared for a minute. Now I hope they have sent you a v1200! I already pre-ordered one since I love my v900 but would love to see your thoughts! Thanks for the awesome video
Thanks, and yes, V1200 coming soon ;)
Love it !!!
The various "Double Entendre"make the show😂🤣!
Glad you enjoy them ;)
yummy plane, thx for the upload! And explanation.
Keep going please!:-)
Thanks, will do!
Very very fast and nice flight.
Sure is, Thanks!
I wish I had the money for that beauty, but most importantly.....
THAT LANDING GEAR IS SO SICK!!!!
It is sick! All metal!!!!!
Very informative. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful - Thanks Rc Maniac!
Great job 👏 👍 what a beautiful plane!
Thanks a lot! She sure is!!!
Super video
Thanks!
I can’t believe I watch the whole video but an excellent job you did awesome plane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks William! That's three hours you'll never get back, you know - LOL ;) Thank you!!!
How do you keep reading my mind Brian. I am getting this model tomorrow and I was just wishing you had one of your awesome videos for it. Thanks man!
Perfect! Glad the video helps!!!
By far the best looking and sounding Plane. Excellent maiden.
"Bouncer", you are clear to take off on Runway 30N.
Nice! Thanks ;)
Great video nice FA18
Glad you enjoyed ;)
Horizon really has the best stuff.
yeah, they are great!
OMG, this is the most beautiful plane I've seen you fly... She is Gorrrrrgeous...
Totally beautiful! She looks even better in person. Very nice finish, and she puts on a good show too!
@@BrianPhillipsRC now add the LED's...
No way you’re taking off on the driveway with this! Okay I’ll watch
Coming soon - already in the can ;) Hope you'll check it out when we publish, but not 100% sure of time line.
Gotta say your camera operator is flawless full frame
On center with her shots
K carry on keds
Yes yes I love the f-18 nice 🤙
Glad we could cover one of your favorites!!!
Of course I watched your maiden flight getting ready to head out to go fly myself good job on your maiden I saw you did remove the missiles of course.
I don't think that wife would approuve it 😂😂😂
Thanks Victor RC Jet ;)
Hello Brian and Mrs Megan aka camera crew. Amazing plane looks and sounds awesome. Its a very pricey plane. I think it's worth it. The video was long had to break it up but was informative as always. Thanks for the video keep flying you guys. Just having fun RC'n with friends and family
We agree! It was VERY long - More coming too!!! This plane is GREAT, and when they're expensive, my expectations are sometimes unreasonably high...but this plane lived up to most all of them and then beat some expectations!
Great job buddy lol that’s just crazy
It sure is! looks great, and flies well, but would like to see more power, so I can get out of the throttle and save my batteries life ;)
I tried to save money but bought this after watching your review last night. Thanks man!
Glad I could help! ;)
I agree that landing orsum. Great plane and great maiden 👍🏻
Thanks!
I love the detail of your Videos. It was cool to see you fly the airplane and different type of batteries before the installation. Excellent Video!!! I'm Like number 416 and a subscriber to all your videos
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Keith - glad you're here with us (still) ;)
I bet that's NOT the FIRST TIME YOU NEARLY ENDED UP IN THE BUSH. hahahahhaha. Good flight
Brian
London
LOL - I end up in the BUSH all the time ;)
Many overseas 3d models come with cuts of covering for repairs/patching. HH should send a selection of felt tip pens for touchup!
Really? I've never seen such a touchup pen / marker...but that would be nice!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Nope! I’vr never seen such a pen! But if balsa companies can send patch samples then foam companies can send touchup (patch) pens.
Beautiful 😍
Thank you!
Nice road landing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
Thanks, but still getting the hang of her...better will come soon :)
Man nice recovery !!!!!
Thanks! I was close to losing her, but what a beauty!!!
Yes Mr Brian you are the best You Tuber fromOhio Awsome flight.
Thanks again!
Tough approach on beveled street. Great job. I've been there in a Champ in real life. Whoa!!! Lol.
You have the best teaching videos on the net.
I wish Horizon Spectrum would hire you for trainings.
1st class presentations and I understand it.
Thanks. I am buying my jet and Horizon products through your link. Plus I stay on commercials so ya get paid.
I appreciate that! Thanks Terry!!! Hope I never have to land a real plane on the crown of that road out front, but if I need too, it's 1220 feet long, before the bend ;)
Glad the gear doors did not brake off. Wonderful Jet
Me too!
Brian and Wife thanks for this sweet video glad it was long so we can learn more. I have a ideal for your Driveway length! How about planting Bentgrass and cut it like a putting green but you don’t have to cut it short! Save money on Concrete!
I would love it, except it would be all dead this year...don't think it does good with drought, but maybe you could tell me more?
@@BrianPhillipsRC There are some Bentgrass does ok ir drought but you could set up a water system to water it. Toro makes home water system that you could do. Do you like in sanded soil or heavy Clay? There a company has a great Bentgrass to help up. Check out you you can afford a reel mower! They run $300 to $1000 if you want New. You don’t have to cut it every day like a golf course. Let me know if you want me to help! Thanks I love to learn to fly but China Virus is making it hard. PS look at the V1200 or V900. Super fast planes
The plane looks and fly great. I know you could not fly this plane in the housing area were you use to be, lol! Love the videos you and your wife make.
In the park, we could have done it ;) ....maybe...
If you put the pushrod linkage for the nose wheel on the most inside hole on the nose wheel control horn the wheel won’t be so sensitive when landing. Great looking plane.
This is true
Ok , what you need is 2 -short flexing rods- 1- string 2- parachutes and a hook on the jet.
LOL
Nice 👍 love the gears
Me too! One of my favorite part!
hi Brian ! I like your falcon f 16 ! but the blue angels it's just a pure beauty, and it's sound like a real turbine ! wow ! ✈💙
Thanks! Both are wonderful plane, but having flown both, the F-16 is a slightly better flying plane. The F-18 while AMAZING, is a bit of a battery eater ;) She could have a bit more power, and then she'd be near flawless!
if I understand that correctly, it would be much better with a 90 mm EDF
✈✈✈✈✈
I run a separate channel for my nose wheel, use side slider for taxing at full rate, then mix it to rudder on the stick with 30% or lower to you taste for take off and landing. Just like a tiller steer on a fill size
Good idea, but on the STOCK rx???
@@BrianPhillipsRC yea, fair call. I dont use multi protocol Tx So I usually toss the Rx or just go arf or pnf and use my brand of Rx Horus x12s user + opentx
Just ordered the eachine Corsair. Have loved planes since I was a child (I’m 55 now) especially war birds and have made many models over time. RC was out of my reach until now since I’ve recently retired, so I thought the Corsair would be a good start after watching your channels review and others and I’ve always loved the Corsair. All that said, I love watching your channel and of course your skills with the mega variety of aircraft you fly. Not sure if you’ve done this before, but could you maybe make a video that explains the “lingo” you speak of for us older beginners concerning your control settings and whatever else you talk about. Batteries, “expo” and other things you might think newbies might not understand.
BTW, nice homestead !!
I really appreciate you asking, and want to help you out. Part of your issue, which I was in the same boat, by the way, just a few short years ago...is that much of the technology has changed from the last time you were into RC.
If you can ask me direct questions, as you think of them, I'll help you out.
Expo, is short for Exponential. This speaks to a feature on many computerized transmitters, allowing us to "soften" the response to our thumb inputs (or finger inputs) to make for a more controllable plane. For example, if you want to make the plane fly more tame, but still want to be able to yank the stick all the way back, and still get 100% output from your elevator to pull out the way from a tree, for example, you could use expo at 30%, which means that the output from the elevator stick will be less for the first 1/3 or so of the stick. This is massively simplified, for easy understanding, but you can also check out my video about Expo. It's a hard one to explain. It will come better from FLYING a plane with and without expo.
Ask away, and I'll help you. I do it for thousands of other new to RC or freshly back to rc pilots.
Very super
thanks again
Super
sure is!
I have been wanting this one and the Thunderbird plane also! I have been trying to find but haven't had any luck. I am loving this bro!
He did a thunderbird review a month or two ago. Its in his videos if you scroll down a bit
@@camomaster6316 okay thank you appreciate the heads-up
@@chriswoods8812 no problem, looks like a great plane. Its on my list!
@@camomaster6316 I picked up the Airbus A380 and the al37 from motion RC. But I am missing some military planes. The first once I want are the Thunderbolt, Blue Angels, and Thunderbirds. They are definitely eluding me. But hopefully I will pick them up sometime soon. I started looking at helicopters yesterday so I may get a 700 or 800 series on that. Just got to save up a little bit more
Awesome - Do it ;)
Drop tanks are used on longer missions. They are dropped prior do combat. Thus, they don't normall just drop them as we have in-air refueling capabilities.
Do they go and recover them??? Are they all beat up?
@@BrianPhillipsRC , they would normally only be dropped in combat. WWII, they would empty the drops before on-board fuel, . If they went into combat, they'd drop them, but if on patrol, and never had combat, they'd return with them attached.
Normally you'd never recover them as they would be who-knows-where on the battlefield. Were probably used more in the Pacific, thus normally dropped in the ocean.
1:58:05...Your Russian accent was spot on!! LOL!! 🤣🤣🤣 Another great video despite!! ;) Love the F-18, particularly in the Blue Angels scheme!! (Although that Marine livery is pretty sweet too!)
It was VERY bad!!! I'm sorry. I promise to make it up to you ASAP!!!!!
Putin would be disgusted - LOL
I know it was hard to see but those shots with the sunset behind it was great
Thanks!
Beautiful landing 🤤🤤🤤
Thanks!
As far as “drop tanks” we don’t drop them unless it’s an emergency. They are quite expensive. I believe the super hornet’s “Aux tanks” cost around $200,000 each. They are made from spun fiberglass. Usually once they’re dropped, they are not reusable, so we always bring them back. “Drop tanks” is really a term from WWII when things were more disposable and fighters had to jettison tanks while escorting bombers to get the added performance to fend off some enemy fighters.
That's what I was thinking. Especially on a modern plane, but speaking to the price of an F-18, a $200,000 drop tank would be a small price to pay to save the expensive plane, and also priceless life, and cost of training for pilot... Also, if a plane were flying so far to necessitate fuel like that, we'd expect them to do aerial refueling, something that wasn't practical in WWI.
Thanks for answering the question for me Greg!!!
Brian Phillips you’re right about the price being a drop in the bucket, but out on a carrier, there’s only so many of them. To get another could take months to get shipped (literally) out to a carrier. So, they’re only jettisoned if it’s an emergency that requires it.
Might have to get one...
It's a battery eater, be forewarned ;)
That's as big as my real plane.....It sure sounds like a jet. It is worth the price such a great paint and decal job.
Yeah!!!
Brian, watching the build of the F-18, I see you do the same thing, you put the
collar in place then put the set screw in. I find that it works better if you start
the set screw, then put the collar in place.
Good point!
Can't wait till my skill level allows me to fly this thing! I do think their a bit overpriced for these foam planes tho but I saw this at the hobby store and I want it.
You gotta see one in person...so much more value than you can see on a package ;)
The stabilater part when Megan said read the instructions was classic Brian lol, this team I believe are stationed at the forest sherman naval base in pensacola florida this is my 2nd Eflight F-18 I have a Hornet to, good maiden Brian they scare me to 😉👍🛩
This plane is super fun, but she can be a handful ;)
Thank's Brian, late to the show...lol nice review...you scared me on 1st take off. Seems to me 4000 / 5000 way to go. Awsome job camera crew kudos guys
Better late than never ;)
3200 or 4000 makes for a GREAT experience.
Nice Flight. I still havent flown my F-18. its just sitting on the stand looking pretty. One o f th ese days I'll get it out to fly. Im just not that confident yet in my flying Jets. Maybe after I tame some other planes
Cudos to you for your patience!!!
Set up a mix: Rudder to rudder, -50% and -50%, with it enabled by the flap switch when the flaps are down
That's a good idea.
I did a lot of tinkering with mixes to get throttle cuts to work on my FT Cruiser with differential thrust
What’s up Brian awesome jet I was looking at getting that one but I went ahead with the 90 mm F-15C eagle I love the jet I was looking at the tomcat but it looks like it has too much going on with the wings LOL but with their 15 I was looking at RUclips and a lot of people were crashing him a lot of good flights I saw as well so I went ahead and installed The AR8360T 8-channel safe & AS3X with Telemetry .. just want to be safe with it and not have any issues there’s a whole Lotta stuff going on once you open the cockpit I reinforce all my connections with the clips so nothing comes apart and yes my F-15 has safe on it LOL don’t plan on crashing that.. amazing flight with that blue angels brother..
Thanks, and good luck with that big 90mm with SAFE ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC I haven’t taken it up yet only thing I’ve done is made a top gun video with it LOL three videos are put on RUclips it looks good I’ll have the old timers at the airfield talk me through it LOL .. i’ve noticed that safe doesn’t give me much throws on anything I have to have it in hi rates then I did some adjustments when it’s in safe for high rates so I have a little bit better throws!!
9:23 you are my fav RUclips
Thanks so much Janosch!!
The Blue Angel 😭🤤
yes
Beautiful jet and great flying! Was wondering your thoughts on the twin otter for a second airplane? I’m looking to step up to a bigger plane from the sport cub s2 I’ve been flying.
Great plane, but might be a bit tricky to fly. you CAN do it, but I might encourage you to try something easier, OR just get small lipos so that you can keep the wing loading down.
Twin Otter 1.2m bit.ly/2Zvn5AI
Have you considered something like this??? Great plane, and wonderful middle step -
Cirrus SR22T 1.5m bit.ly/3fKjO60
Brian Phillips which do you think would handle wind better? I live in Texas and there’s pretty much always a 7-10 mph wind. It’s a pain trying to find a not windy time to fly the cub. Thanks for the feedback. Being a noobie I’ve actually learned a lot from your videos.
Brian, one word: Tailhook :)
The thought has crossed my mind SEVERAL times.....
Love the look of the F-18 super hornets but just doesnt look to be enough wing area there to get good lift at slower speeds
I think the wing area is fine, but I think this plane needs either 8S Power System or a 90mm EDF to get into the correct slightly over 1:1 power to weight we have recently come to expect on EDF Jets.
I know this plane is a bit under-powered, but you can still make it SCREAM ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC 8s and bigger edf = even more weight thus requiring even more wing area...im all about wing to weight ratio,s for better behaving planes n jets.
Wooo boy that takeoff of SKETCH!! Lol
She made it with mucho room to spare ;)
What kind of connector are you using? I have the GEN 1 SMART 6S 5000 mAh 50c, and the IC5 connector on the battery won’t plug into my EC5 connector on my airplane. Not sure why. Also, I have the Lectron Pro AC/DC 10 amp charger and I just bought a connector that will hopefully fit with it. Had an EC5 for the charger to plug my IC5 battery into it but when I tried to charge it, it said CELL CONNECT ERROR. My battery is dead though after using it for taxi tests and binding, etc. So, not sure what to do about that either. Thanks in advance!
I had a few that are really hard to get started, but work okay, once you get it lined up right.
If you're battery is below something like 2.8VDC on any one cell, you'll have to get pretty creative to get it charged. I've done it, and know you can too ;) I don't want you to say I told you to try something and burned your house down, so you need to just play with batter types and get charger to pump a small amount of power into the pack at a very low rate, then and only after you get each cell high enough, you can go ahead and setup a lipo charge again.
@@BrianPhillipsRC Ok thank you Brian, my neighbor helped me charge the battery again over like 3 volts. It was at 1% 😂
We need some merch!! Lol. "So stinking gorgeous!"... "No Bs Maiden", etc.
I thought about getting a jet but idk, I feel like it would be a lot different from the planes I have lol. Off topic, I want the conscendo evolution lol, just the sound of it on your channel, the speed, the gliding, ugh! I want it so bad!!. I have gotten 3 planes since watching your channel and let me just say, my gf is frickin PIIIISSED HAHA. She wants a ring before I get another plane lol, talk about trickery lol, jk I love her. She would kill me though if I came home and was like "BABE!!, CHECK OUT MY BLUE ANGELS JET!!.", I really dont see that going over well lmao🤣🤣🤣. The kicker is she bought me my first plane as a surprise lol.
Get the Conscendo Evo - it's AMAZING!!!
Conscendo Evolution 1.5m bit.ly/2DPmW2F
Sleeping in the dog house is a prerequisite to a new plane for most...I am in a very rare situation ;) LOL
Wait, so you've got kids, Bri?
I'd love to see you fly off a grass strip, my man. You should start a patreon to fund a local flying field. That would be aces.
We have 4 kids ;)
For $700+ I would like to see white Landing lights on the gear and anti collision strobes as well.
I don't disagree. Loads of cash, and there's always something missing :(... What I really want is a more powerful plane...like this size with a 90mm EDF ;) OR possibly 8S??? This plane with a touch more power, would be simply amazing. It's not bad, so please don't misunderstand, and I agree about the lights, just that this is my primary concern, way more than the lights, in my personal opinion.
Gavstreet Rc is right it does did it to my second f-18 but I lost mine first one on second flight due to elevator popping out and lawn darting then had to order a new F-18 but I did something different then most with the screw I build a servo horn that connects to the stab works great. And that’s another thing I buy planes and even if I don’t get to fly them because sometimes they become discontinued and then I’m hunting them down so I’ll buy them and leave them in the box until I get a chance like my Corsair I just built it out of 40 planes I’ve flow 25 of them.
I would never be able to have 40 planes and NOT fly all 40 ;)
Brian Phillips yea sucks but there’s no where to fly by me and it’s always a drive to get to a field plus I work seven days a week the graveyard shift so I sleep pretty much all day lol have to have funds to continue my hobby
Great video but I would have checked pack voltage before taxiing up the driveway I'm concerned about flight time not taxi time
Yeah, but I was being lazy
You gotta put the 2100kv motor like I did, it gives you that insane amount of extra power you need
Interesting fact here
Totally agree.... but you need to get used to the way it flies with this stock set up first.
Hey Brian, check out Gooniac (Ray's) custom setup mod for elevators so they don't slip out of the plastic shaft otherwise its great.... Plane is prone to elevator lockup and the occasional elevator servo going bad.. Horns are quick ... 👊👊
Also might want to toss a 6k lipo and a fms v2 platinum 2100 fan when you want to make it have reserve piwer Ray has this too.... Good luck....
STANG 1981 that’s what I said lol
I was literally about to comment on your recent video if you were gonna do this video lol
I am ;)
Hey great videos! I wanted to let you know about a little secret I came across about batteries. The Spektrum Smart batteries 5000, 30C 6S weights 690g for $129.99 + t&s I was flying the Apprentice STS which uses the 3200, 30c 3c weights 249g $51.99 +t&s I discovered serial connecting the (3200 30c 3s)*2=498g which is 192g less that the 5000 pack plus it bump mAh up to 6400mAh. I discovered serial connecting when I got the Freewing F-22 8s High Performance. FYI, Tim Giggey I like the Spektrum Smart System because if you have the Smart ESC + smart battery + smart RXs now offered in 8 & 10 channels is great info after landing It can even give you the G forces...
You have a good point there! Sometimes we so SERIES connections. SMART Packs are great for this too, since they stay very well balanced!
I purchased the PNP Grey version. I have a AR637T. Was wondering if you could give me the gain settings from the stock receiver in your f18. Just wanted something to start with
I don't usually recommend PNF for this reason, but if I was doing it, I'd just do the forward programming, and start with 1X GAIN and work it to where you want it to be. This is highly subjective, and you'll find that the default will get you in the ballpark. Make sure you have loads of room to drag out your landings if you're not sure.
Nice landing dude I have the su-30 and having trouble with the landings and my aerofly rc8 doesn’t emulate jet very well imho
I had a REALLY hard landing in my SU-30.....it was so hard I ruined the 7000mAh lipo, and the whole plane ;( LOL - What a bummer.
@@BrianPhillipsRC oh man..I saw your vid on that it’s gone?
I like that f18. Now I want one
OMG-- OMG..... THIS video made my day. Amazing how great that thing sounds. 😳😳😎👍👍👍 Toooo kooool... 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it! It sounds AMAZING! Can't wait for the TWIN 80 MM ;) Are you listening Horizon Hobby??!?!?!?
Brian can you feature NX series setup for this model nx10, nx8, nx6? with audio events?
I do use audio events now-a-days. This is a pretty old video.
OMG 😱
it is cool!
One more thing you guys have a Super awesome Home. Hang you planes from the Celling with good Mono fishing line. Has the Camera lady learn to fly off video?
I might be pushing my luck with that idea ;)
Brian, love the vids! I'm getting back into RC, its been 20 + years. Today I got the ix12 transmitter. I did get it paired to my Habu, and AeroScout. But, one selling point was the ability to download models right from Horizon, and/or Spektrum. But, once I got it home, that's easier said than down. Can you please help and show the whole process? Log into Spectrum, down load the file, load the file and then load your model presets? The iX12 has wifi so no SD card needed as you know.
I don't download models. I build them from scratch ;) Watch the UNBOX, BUILD, and RADIO SETUP and you'll be doing it without ANY help in no time at all. TRUST ME, you want to work through it a few times. It will suck at first, but you'll be very happy I encouraged you to do it.
Do it Ken ;) You will thank me. Use that VERY EXPENSIVE and AWESOME transmitter to it's full potential.
Do it Ken, you KNOW you want to learn it!!!
Fantastic video! Wish you would do a few slower passes and fly closer to the camera in later videos to see this bird a little better up close. Great plane!
Already filmed, but won't publish for a few days. Way WAY closer and slower. We weren't sure we could use the regular "runway" (AKA Driveway) but we found out we CAN and we did!!! All three flights wheels up and wheels down on the driveway!!!
Hope you'll stay tuned for that in the next week or so!
Brian Phillips sounds amazing! Can’t wait to see it! You guys are great! Really appreciate the camera work also! Keeping those birds in focus ain’t no joke especially when they move so fast!
Found one and immediately got it lol 😅
Congrats! Good luck!
