"you're never going to marry" - Vince's dad don't be so sure! It's fun watching this in retrospect 15 yrs later to see how much the culture has shifted from the late 90s/early 2000s
I watched QaF series in cinema 16 years ago on LGBT Movies Festival in two evenings. I remember cinema going mental at Jill Dando joke. Outburst of laghter was just immense.
omg, i love the rick rolled. I barely watched the us-version (maybe 5 episodes period) & people have told me the UK version was a lot better. well, being from the us, i got to say i am addicted tonight to my computer watching the series. The actors seem more "real" & aren't mannequin's like the us version was, as i recall. I dunno, that's what i get out of the uk series, it looks real. the us version, as i recall, looked fake. I'll have to watch both, but have to watch the full uk series first.
@ajannjones even if i would have seen this one first, i still would have preferred the US version one. I don't think the lead here had the appeal Gale Harold had as Brian. And the US version was just too funny and had great music. I've always loved Rick Ashley's Never gonna give you up, though.
Why is it sad that there are remakes? I think it broadens peoples views and exposes us to other countries ideas and views through movies, songs, TV shows or whatever. Maybe you should open your mind a little bit if it wasn't for some of these remakes I wouldn't even have been able to discover the originals.
Loads of people seem to think that the US version is better, but I honestly don't get what they see in it. I can't stand how there are so many American remakes of everything, it's just sad. No body else does that, makes remakes of already great things, maybe if their decades old, then I'd understand, but other wise it's just pathetic. The original version of everything is always better than those poser US versions. Ex. Queer as Folk, Being Human, Let the Right One In. Watch them try for Dr. Who!
Love the accents and love the song and ambience.

For a few seconds into the video I was like "Am I getting rickrolled"
+shay jones We watch the original series, that's how we get exposed to other countries' views, we don't make remakes to suit our tastes.

i do thank the original for inspiring the US version.

SN Jones then pick up a phone and get online like everyone else. Remakes being the only way you'd know about things is a poor excuse.
