I love this show, and the performances of these two women as middle-schoolers are so perfect it’s actually jarring to see them here as the adults they are. Maya looks very much like the same (very pretty) person in both the show and real life, but I’m astonished at how lovely the real, grown-up Anna is! Is it the braces? The makeup?

My best friend told me to watch this show, and we decided to make our version of the show(intro), and you know what's funny? The bestfriends names in the show were our moms' nicknames! My best friend's mom was named Maya, and my best friend has short hair, just like Maya in the show, and my mom's nickname is Anna! And just like Anna in the show, I am the tallest! I love my bestie so much! By the way, we've been best friends since we were in grade 12, and now we're on our third year in college, and my life is so much better with her!
think of all the shows that go on for 10 seasons, and this gem ended after 2 seasons. They really could've done more! nobody would be mad

Me and my friends also ironed our hair with real irons .. problem was that the part of the hair closest to the head would have so many frizzy fly aways.. lol but this being southeast Texas the rest of the Jaír went straight back to that as well within 5 minutes of walking outside for 2 minutes

Anna’s Anne of Green Gables photo: Tara had a similar “prairie” dress in her headshot for the fashion show. After Heather’s mom said the headshot looked that it came straight out of the 1800s, Tara remarked she found the dress in the river.
