Great format, interesting to see the degree to which short course athletes dominated their long course compatriots. I'd love to see this format spread, but hopefully broadcast as primarily sports event in locations the public can access rather than an extended commercial for a middle of nowhere hotel.
Just goes to show that the worlds best short distance will still win no matter what the format, this is why they wont change the format we have had for years, the Australian series years ago was the first and only chance to make change and it failed.
Produced more like a judges house X-Factor episode / or I'm a celebrity - instead of an engaging race with real athletes - it could come down to the lack of spectators - makes the event look more staged. - Bring on Stadium triathlon racing I say!
