The ragdoll/npc uprise, then a similar situation to what happens in PortalVideos2012 will happen, where they mess up his game (except that in that series, it is broken turrets).
Not to mention that at 4:15, Gunslinger seems to look at that light source, as though he didn't remember (or (more likely) it wasn't him) that put it there. I mean, what purpose does it serve? Probably not one that he knows. Edit: Having thought about it, I think that given the NPC's seem to be self-aware, it's quite likely the purpose of the light was that it was a distraction used by the NPC's so that they could attach the explosives to the back of the APC, as well as getting someone to grab onto the back to detonate the explosives. Guerilla warfare stuff right there. Edit 2: This implies that the NPC's are capable of interacting with objects spawned by Gunslinger (even ones like the lamp, *despite* them being naturally fixed in place by their spawn (meaning the NPC's can somehow 'unfreeze' otherwise fixed or anchored objects)), or, more concerningly, it might be that they are able to spawn objects themselves. Either way, this develops the depth to the capabilities of the NPC's in Gunslingers world.
As well as the fact that he actually explains how to build some of them, genuinely never had the slightest idea on how to use wiremod but this video helped
the tank interior POV had a really cool "home-made" vibe to it, its bumps and jolts from inside because of the janky havok engine honestly felt more immersed than most interior pov games offer
I realized the contraptions are now more complex, and what I think is that it's getting harder for Gunslinger to battle the NPC's. They're starting to learn his gameplay techniques and are finally now capable of killing his player model. It's a rebellion.
@@animq4ionboi.153 Gunslinger opens a server, to torture and mess around with npcs or its just one of his friends who realized somethings up and that the npcs shouldnt be acting like this, and that he hadn't EVEN SEEN npcs like this, an addon nor a server hosting this shit.
Its been a while but gunslinger is back in action. A few notes: Gunslinger’s avatar might be rebelling against Gunslinger himself? Them looking at the basic framework without the music and their expression while at first could easily just be contempt or misery, I think could also be them studying out the mechanics of Gunslinger’s machine. I thought at the end it was a Heavy but no it was actually a barrel and a heavily damaged(or modified) npc. It was a suicide play and in fact if you look closely and slow down the video, you can even see the npc close their eyes. Did someone throw that light or was that weird collision with the tank? Even Gunslinger was confused with how it was emphasized, other than maybe foreshadowing with the barrel being at the end of the tunnel. Could’ve been the medic npc’s distraction play. From a less speculative angle, I want to say that this is actually really interesting. I think this is the first time Gunslinger had a significant loss. I think its clever how his little invasion role play, a military’s version of playing Kaiju, ends so disturbingly real. It’s brute force meets guerrilla tactics. Its ultimately meaningless, Gunslinger’s seems confused more than anything, but whether that desperate attack leads to something bigger we have yet to see.
Considering how disturbed Gunslinger is and the fact this takes place in the late 2000s and very early 2010s when tasteless humor was king, I would not be surprised. Actually that’s a thought, this series ends with the plot twist that Gunslinger getting defeated by callout posts and gets his channel suspended. I mean that’s a joke but I honestly wouldn’t be supposed at an Al Capone gets arrested for tax fraud esque ending. Also also while I really hope this series does not make any direct connections to horrible historic and real life events, I don’t mind the gmod bomb making an appearance. Maybe do the Emperor Joker ending where Gunslinger’s avatar just keeps coming back no matter what is thrown at him. But considering how gritty this series is i.e. more like Saw than Nightmare on Elm Street, I still don’t think we have a clear idea what the ending is going to be. I want it to be a happy ending for the NPCs, but I’m not sure how you could make that satisfying in a series like this. I feel like we’re either at the beginning of the final act or the end of act two and in a sense that is honestly quite exciting.
This is actually useful, couldn't find any tutorials on this that was actually talking about what i needed lol PS: Video demonstrates why you need a crew to operate anti-infantry guns and proper driver awareness modules
Considering what we know about the ragdolls, we probably just saw Gunslinger murdering a camp of sentient NPCs who were trying to rebel against them and he figured out a way to make it into a video
I don't think so, i think he created that village with the intent to destroy it with the tank, Gunslinger thought it was going to be easy, specially with a tank, but those NPCs really fought back with all they had, even that female medic at the end sacrificed herself to kill Gunslinger and end the massacre, sadly, her sacrifice is meaningless.
@@globglobglab yeah that's probably what happened. he did this with some other contraption as well, I think it was the sled tutorial for those who don't wanna translate he asked "What if he built a village for them himself, left them thinking that he was behind them, and then staged a massacre with no chance of winning?"
I am convinced that the light at 4:11 was just a way to distract the player, you can even hear the rebel medic's footsteps as she runs over and climbs onto the tank while gunslinger investigates the light for a few seconds
After all this time, I initially thought that you were simply done with gunslingerpro2009. I thought that maybe the fact that your series catapulted an entire genre that became mainstream to the point of burnout may have discouraged you. But no. You just kept going. Planning, taking your time, little by little. You know what you want to create and won't dare to release something that doesn't 100% match your creative vision. And I admire that from you. I know you never break character nor reply or anything of sorts. But if you happen to read this. Thank you. You are really bringing fiction to the digital era in a way that, even if it sounds a bit exagerated, is groundbreaking. Congratulations. Keep up the awesome work!
You can rig wire turrets around your tank hull with a ranger set to 10 distance to act as make shift claymore to keep people from climbing on your tank. This is a better delousing solution that is less likely to blow yourself up.
I haven't seen anyone mention the one Rebel Civilian at 5:00 who says (I think) "Why gloat?" Before being brutally killed by an annoyed gunslingerpro. The way gunslingerpro's personality is shown to us through the movements of a tank is amazing, just from the way he moves the cannon, the targets he prioritizes and which he ignores, what he chooses to linger on and stare at, you get a sense of the child-like pettiness behind the cannon, like a selfish toddler with the powers of a god.
Well, we now have 2 sides against gunslinger. Ragdolls, which are defensless. And NPCs, which are also sentient and can actually put up a fight, it could also be possible that they were the ones who built the camp that gunslinger attacks
Honestly, disregarding the general horror aspects which I still do find interesting don't get me wrong, That turret and tank are sick as hell, This really feels like an old tutorial for making cool stuff in Gmod like that from a past I was never there for. I especially love the bitcrushed Battlefield theme at the beginning. Even the Gunslinger engi's commentary in the initial tutorial I find to be pretty charming. It's just in general quite the fun watch for me.
Also Breaking Benjamin's Blow Me Away was extremely popular back in the day for GMVs and AMVs (Star Wars Clone Wars 2003 anyone?) most probably because of Halo. There was an extremely different vibe from earlier youtube

The bloodgulch97 name confuses me, is it someone gunslingerpro knows outside of garry's mod? a friend? a sibling? I tried searching to see if there was a channel called bloodgulch, but nothing.
The only thing I found was episode 97 of some old Halo 2 webseries called Red vs. Blue, taking place on the map Blood Gulch. Doesn't seem to be relating to gunslinger in anyway.
@@tallmechanic706I'm pretty sure this is just hinting that gunslinger is also a halo fan. The song used during his attack on the NPCs is from the 2nd games soundtrack.
Lot of y'all figured out some stuff, but here's a detail that I noticed. At 0:28 his steam install folder makes no sense. His steamapps folder contains something called 'bloodgulch97', which I couldn't find any reference to online. Also, why would his Gmod install be in that folder? Blood Gulch however, is something of note. Blood Gulch is a Halo map, in which the machinima "Red vs Blue" was filmed in. How that ties in, I'm not sure. Not finding any bloodgulch97 reference really puts me at a dead end.
0:30 bloodgulch97, it may be related to "Red vs. Blue: Blood Gulch Chronicles episode 97" because as far as I can see for now that episode is about a tank and we also see a tank in the rest of the video.
5:14 for a few frames you can see the NPC riding the tank at the end lowering her head and closing her eyes just as they were about to die, accepting their fate. These NPCs behave VERY differently from the cowardly TF2 models who would only either allow themselves to be toyed with or attempting to flee the inevitable. I have a feeling that weird noise at the end might translate to something but I'm not sure how or what
@@SlashBolt yeah literally ive talked abt it with another friend whos also into gmod/tf2 args.. other youtubers really cant hit the same vibes gunslinger does. they release stuff very quickly. i like the tension and mystery of gunslinger's breaks between videos
I love how, even though this scary ragdoll ARG can be quite unsettling, the tutorial actually works quite well. My friends and I had a great time trying to build a tank similar to the one shown in the video (minus the living ragdolls)
I legitimately have been casually watching wiremod tutorials for Gmod as they appear in my recommended the past few months to get more versed in building contraptions, And I got so interested by what he was doing in this video I had no idea this was Gunslingerpro2009's returning-from-the-dead video until the very last 10 seconds. I wonder what would happen if you tried to boot up the hl2 campaign with this version of gmod. Could the main nps react, or would their scripted lines and actions override the behavior? Just things to speculate on when thinking about how the sentient ragdolls function.
I knew something was up the second I saw that HL2 Rebels were attacking Gunslinger (attacking the player is something stock HL2 Rebels will never do to my knowledge) Seems like Gunslinger is some pushback from characters who are prepared to fight back!
the reason this stands out from the other flunked attempts at gmod args is the brilliant subtlety. theres a story sure but its not being screamed at you with annoying cryptic text or riddles - its there if you wanna look for it, and if not then theres still an interesting video to watch theres something to be said about how the player just looks at the lamp being thrown with palpable confusion before getting distracted by the npcs he was shooting. it really felt like the hypothetical person playing the game was completely stumped, but just forgot about it - if any other series tried doing that theyd probably have the music cut out with big text saying some shit like "what was that" before immediately following it up with a jumpscare or something subtlety, man, this series is GREAT at it
There are probably people out there who are clueless of the ARG and still use the tutorials this channel brings up. Because, not gonna lie, they are very effective. Thx engie
That's why i use Guerrilla tactics for Town defense > An invader appears in a makeshift tank > ”¡¿What the hell?!" I yell as i prepare for the incoming attack > Me and the boys start shooting and fighting back > The bullets doesn't work, so i make a distraction with a random lamp i found in the ground > The invader looks the lamp confused, but doesn't look where it came > While he is distracted killing everybody on his way, i climb up his Tank and attach my gas Tank to it > He notices me for the sound i make, but it's too late > "They're gonna have to glue us back together, In hell!" I scream before detonating the gas Tank with a lighter, killing both of us in the spot. Ah... Just as the gmod creators intented.
I love the expression the rebel medic had durring the last few seconds. Its simple details like that that gives you the impression that they are alive and have emotions. Im loving the work you are doing and im curious to see what you do next! Ill be honest, dispite this being a horror channel, this is making me want to boot up G-mod again and mess around. This tank looks a lot of fun.
These videos are so much more genuinely interesting then so many analog horrorish series just because how not in your face it is, you get minutes on end without any scares or anything and it makes it so much more authentic, even in this video one of the “scares” just being the music cutting out with no follow up is legit unnerving and cool!!!
I feel like he's just been having fun in wiremod recently and is showing off his builds a little bit. ...Which is fair. That is a pretty sexy looking wiremod tank.
4 months late but I think their behaviour follows their lore TF2 characters not wanting to fight back because they're outnumbered and not experienced against fighting something that are god like. Despite them capable of doing dumb stuff and being badass in the original comics in the end they're mercenaries, fight for money. HL2 rebels on the other hand got nothing to lose, 20 years of nihilism and hopelessness against an universal empire capable of conquering mankind in 7 hours. Enslaving Xen militaries and tame xen wildlifes which mankind themselves struggles to fight against and potentially see earth as not even being a blimp on their radar They'll die fighting. Combine transhuman soldier are basically augmented brainwashed humans designed to serve Combine. Mindless organic automatons. They'll either see everyone including gunslinger as a threat to the combine empire or to follow gunslinger orders, since I have a theory that despite being mindless organic automatons I presume they still can feel fear judging from the fact that Dr.Breen threaten them a complete punishment of extinction if they fail to apprehend Freeman and the rebels. They could follow gunslinger because they see gunslinger as a resemblance of a combine advisor or out of complete fear. To deliver judgment waiver towards the non compliant citizens
@@craftman_yt Well craftman, you are right. Metrocops are just regular joes like us. Now let's put both of us onto their shoes. If we were serving the combine just 6 seconds ago and then suddenly we're teleported into gm_construvt and some scientist looking guy is flying around and twisting someone's body into an absolute abomination of deformation that barely resembles anything humanlike. What will you do? I'll sit my ass down and wait for the right time. My puny USP only deals like 3 damage per hit.
@@ded4700 Well, they could ally with the rebels. An important thing is that Alyx and Barney regenerate HP. So they could be a great help to the rebels, as they are basically impossible to kill with a shotgun (which is the first weapon to use when it comes to killing imo). Their weak spot is the fact that with auto fire weapons, they go down really fast.
@@craftman_yt they could help the rebels by being double agents, like Barney. Or even triple agents like Judith to make sure gunslinger trust the metrocops. Alyx and Barney arrival will definitely be an important event
Something I haven't seen snyone mention is when the engineer says his line, it doesn't sound like it's an edited overlay or some kind of in-game recording. No, the audio is clearly coming FROM THE COMPUTER'S SPEAKERS more so cause there's a lot of bad microphone white noise suggesting Gunslinger just recorded speaker audio with his mic letting engineer just say that line. I mean we all know the ragdolld are alive but I do like the detail that gunslinger just records whatever the ragdolls say instead of editing in voice lines
Ok ive thought about this, and it got me thinking..... As seen in the video, the HL2 Rebels (specifically the one preforming the suicide bombing at the end) fight back, somthing the TF2 mercs don't do. We know from that first video with the scout that the characters as basically plucked from their games. Looking at those games, the characters behavior makes more sense. The TF2 characters are used to a more (though a bit asinine) orderly conflct. Having nearly no power against an opponent is not soming they know. The rebels however, are experienced in fighting the combine, an enemy which, like gunslinger, has power & abilites much greater than their own. The prior combat knowlege of the rebels is simply much more suited to fighting gunslinger than the prior combat knowlege of the TF2 mercs.

Wrong
the creative and complex contraption designs is what in my opinion puts this several steps above other gmod args
As well as the fact that he actually explains how to build some of them, genuinely never had the slightest idea on how to use wiremod but this video helped
that split second where the npc on the tank just closes their eyes and accepts fate is heart wrenching, oh my god
the tank interior POV had a really cool "home-made" vibe to it, its bumps and jolts from inside because of the janky havok engine
honestly felt more immersed than most interior pov games offer
I realized the contraptions are now more complex, and what I think is that it's getting harder for Gunslinger to battle the NPC's. They're starting to learn his gameplay techniques and are finally now capable of killing his player model. It's a rebellion.
Now next thing we knew somehow another player with Gordon Freeman playermodel comes in

Gunslinger opens a server, to torture and mess around with npcs or its just one of his friends who realized somethings up and that the npcs shouldnt be acting like this, and that he hadn't EVEN SEEN npcs like this, an addon nor a server hosting this shit.
Mad respect to that Medic Rebel who climbed onto the tank. Died killing the player. Total blaze of glory.
Dont Tell Here He can respawn doe
Its been a while but gunslinger is back in action. A few notes:
Gunslinger’s avatar might be rebelling against Gunslinger himself?

Putting aside the creepy stuff this was actually a really good wire mod tutorial.

Considering what we know about the ragdolls, we probably just saw Gunslinger murdering a camp of sentient NPCs who were trying to rebel against them and he figured out a way to make it into a video
Что если он сам им построил деревню, оставил их с мыслями о том что он от них отстал, а затем устроил бойню без шансов на победу?
Things didn't quite go to plan at the end, though.
@@globglobglab yeah that's probably what happened. he did this with some other contraption as well, I think it was the sled tutorial

Never expected to see gunslinger commit war crimes in a wiremod tank
⭐ EVERYTHING I NOTICED + SPECULATION BELOW: ⭐
~ 0:32 the files include something about "bloodgulch97"???
~ 0:50 the music & shot cuts to black before transitioning to the next scene
~ i wanted to point out here that we know the NPCs are alive, but what about the actual Engineer?
~ are the voicelines added in or is the Engineer actually playing its own lines ingame?
~ if so, why isn't he shown to move like the others?
~ 1:30 the music cuts out, instead replaced what appears to be a room's white noise
~ the Engineer model is seen here in another posed image for Gunslinger's video
~ 2:08 the Engineer is shown for the 3rd time animated, but u can see his head being locked into place... weird
~ 2:40 Gunslinger going on a tank rampage against dozens, if not 100s of NPCs
~ this entire place appears to be entirely designed by Gunslinger, because if not him, who else could have built it?
~ Gunslinger is a player genuinely talented in creating contraptions and ways to kill the NPCs and bots
~ I don't have a lot of experience with using this wire mod, but to me, it looks pretty difficult to create an entire tank, such as the one here.
~ based on the interior, the mechanics and wiring appear very complex
~ 4:10 a light zooms past Gunslinger
~ he appears caught off guard based on the time he stares at it
~ it isn't one of his because he still has both headlights on the tank
~ 4:34 a switch is heard, followed by the music cutting out again
~ 4:55 the tank suddenly struggles to move
~ 5:13 a Citizen ragdoll is seen climbing the back of the tank
~ the barrels are never seen beforehand. they must have been strapped on sometime in between the start of the rampage and its end
~ the ragdoll also has something weird on top of her left eye. not sure....?
~ the ragdoll shuts her eyes before the explosion. was she scared of sacrificing herself & dying?
~ it is not an NPC, because when the tank explodes, she has no kill confirmation
~ 5:16 when dead on the ground, strange glitchy / static-y noises begin to play once Gunslinger has died
~ does this happen every time he dies? unsure, this is the first time he has died in the series
~ it's important to note that Citizen NPCs won't usually retaliate against the player. they act very differently when faced with Gunslinger
I feel like why she didn't show up on the killfeed is because of the barrels, thinking that gunslinger killed himself
@@tallmechanic706I'm pretty sure this is just hinting that gunslinger is also a halo fan. The song used during his attack on the NPCs is from the 2nd games soundtrack.

Great tutorial! I learned so much!!!
Interesting
Y’all can find all the easter eggs yourselves, I’m too busy freaking tf out that he’s back
5:14 for a few frames you can see the NPC riding the tank at the end lowering her head and closing her eyes just as they were about to die, accepting their fate.
These NPCs behave VERY differently from the cowardly TF2 models who would only either allow themselves to be toyed with or attempting to flee the inevitable.
I have a feeling that weird noise at the end might translate to something but I'm not sure how or what

the reason this stands out from the other flunked attempts at gmod args is the brilliant subtlety. theres a story sure but its not being screamed at you with annoying cryptic text or riddles - its there if you wanna look for it, and if not then theres still an interesting video to watch
theres something to be said about how the player just looks at the lamp being thrown with palpable confusion before getting distracted by the npcs he was shooting. it really felt like the hypothetical person playing the game was completely stumped, but just forgot about it - if any other series tried doing that theyd probably have the music cut out with big text saying some shit like "what was that" before immediately following it up with a jumpscare or something
subtlety, man, this series is GREAT at it

Would be interesting to see how would "hostile" npcs react
Let me elaborate would the combine npcs and the rebels be friendly to each other?
4 months late but I think their behaviour follows their lore
TF2 characters not wanting to fight back because they're outnumbered and not experienced against fighting something that are god like. Despite them capable of doing dumb stuff and being badass in the original comics in the end they're mercenaries, fight for money.
HL2 rebels on the other hand got nothing to lose, 20 years of nihilism and hopelessness against an universal empire capable of conquering mankind in 7 hours.
Enslaving Xen militaries and tame xen wildlifes which mankind themselves struggles to fight against and potentially see earth as not even being a blimp on their radar
They'll die fighting.

How'd you find it?
Oh shit, he's become invincible.
The tool-gun thing was a completely different series.
