My father had a Toyota Crown back in 1979. So, yeah, you can say I'm a Crown guy. Always love Toyota Crown.
But this version of Crown is just STUNNING!
I like the higher ground clearance of the Crown.
Yee like older American cars from the 70s. Sedans used to be built to not break on every curb.😂
@nickzobel9922 and higher ground clearance means easier access to the car, more visibility on the road as well ss seeing the road, and you don't feel like you're falling into the vehicle or climbing out like you would with a lower to the ground vehicle.
Crown is made in Japan, so there's that.
Underrated fact.
Rather had it built in Kentucky. Better quality there.
@@gigglybeast said no one ever 😆
Said everyone who’s had a Camry built there. Exactly which Japanese built Toyotas are more reliable than the U.S. built models? Certainly not the Crown.
😂well we know Camry history rep and reliable vs🤡 in the us
It looks Toyota took it very serious about their new designs. Stunning!
I like the lift of the crown. It makes it easier to enter/exit, but still have a sedan.
That too me is what I dislike. It's too tall. I guess is appreciate it if I were 60 with arthritis
@@JamaicanMeCrazy
That's the target market for seniors.
Boomers are getting older.
They have the income for these,...Mon. 😂
First time watcher. This is exactly the kind of auto review I wish was more common. You hit on all the important features other than safety features that I want to know about. Kudos.
The Crown is way more beautiful in person vs online. The new Camry looks great online, but I have yet to see one in person.
Update: Finally saw the new Camry XSE up close, in person. Very underwhelming. Has zero presence and doesn't look nearly as good in person as it does online.
I like the Crown.
Ive driven the crown before. Hands down one of the best cars in the world
Interesting. Have you driven a Camry for comparison?
@@coniccinoc not this new camry, no. I've driven the outgoing model. Does not come clos to the crown.
The crown will be my daily driver and everyday and best quality
If you are taller and bigger and have similarly tall and big passengers you will want the crown. The camry is a bit cramped with a lower roof. And obviously the crown will ride more comfortable. The camry is more for the general public with a younger targeted age group. The crown is definitely a step up and nicer for more mature drivers.
The Crown isn’t much better for head room since it has the sloped roof. I think the Camry and the Crown have about the same headroom
@@Drg24800 the crown sits taller. I would sit in both and report on it but I don't want to go to a stealership at the moment for anything
The Crown actually has the lower roof. Look at the glass. There is more of it in the Camry. It's rather that the seat is higher in the Crown.
Both very nice looking. I sat in the Crown and felt like I was in a Lexus.
I test drove the crown and it was 100% more luxurious than my 2015 Lexus. Almost made me upset about the improvement in NVH.
Thanks for sharing!
Those cloth seats look really nice
I'm super happy with my 2024 Toyota Crown Limoted.. it runs smoothly and feels so luxurious :)
I ❤the Crown 👑
Isn't the crown higher off the ground? I would pay for that
Thanks for your great review.
Can we have a review of the CROWN against the VENZA ??
Both tend towards Lexus, and I bet it will be quite a tight comparison and very interesting, too.
🎉Nice vidéo
I would like a comparison of Camry se vs xle that has acoustic glass and smaller wheels I think for a quieter ride
The rear of the crown reminds me of the rear of the lucid air
Crown is a lot more $$$$$$. We are going to purchase the Camry LE 2025 next week for $30k. The Crown low end model is 15k higher.
Did you but the car? How do you like it? I am putting deposit on the XLE today
If you a quieter and more premium Camry you could step up to XLE or XSE trim. Acoustic laminated glass, leather seats, etc.
I didn’t think Toyota uses real leather anymore in their vehicles , it’s some type of synthetic leather called Softex.
@@pnwdweler4100cow hide real stuff in XLE Camry
@@pnwdweler4100 Neither does Tesla or many other vehicles these days. And the brands that do its often an upcharge and sometimes is less pleasant (harder, wears worse) than synthetic leather
@@pnwdweler4100on top trim they does
@pnwdweler4100 Toyota got rid of that softex material in their new 2025 crown Signia (wagon). Most likely the other crown in this video will follow.
Nice comparison review. The higher trims of XLE/XSE in the Camry have better sound insulation. From what I have been hearing, the Crown is not selling that well so there should be some good discounts on it right now.
The Crown reminds me of the Honda Crosstour
Do both cars have the same driving range or 1 has more?
I love both cars
I had already leased a Crown but I would definitely have considered the Camry. Gratified to hear you found the Crown quieter as this was why I chose it.
Did he compare seat comfort? That’s very important to me
wow they both look so similar and also similar size
Crown is nice but I don't think its really worth it unless you get the Max hybrid with it. Then you get a 30mpg hybrid but can still do 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds. Otherwise save the cash and get a ES hybrid or a Camry or even the new accord.
How is the step in height difference?
For $6,000 I'd buy the Crown. After 6 years you'll be happy to have spent the extra $1,000 per year.
You think so?
They're not selling that well, so try to low-ball a dealer who has a lot of Crown inventory.
Personally, I'm waiting for the Crown Signia wagon/crossover.
@@nostradamus7648 Me too, actually. Nice looking, more room for things.
If you need to borrow 6000 more and pay 9% interest per year… that’s ~9000 total.
Why?
Toyota shouldn’t have discontinued the Avalon
low sales
@@tinhinnh the crown is going to get even lower sales! I haven’t even seen 5 since they’ve been out.
ive seen a couple, its relatively new, big $$ cars in general dont sell a ton
I have a 2006 Avalon. Love it. I thought about the Crown, but doesn’t have that roomy rear seat area. Keeping my Avalon forever! 👍
@@charlieellison5276 if I were you I’d get a 2019-2022 Avalon! Tho the 2013-2018 had 2-3 more features than the 19-22
Hi Ben, please i want to know, which one has the most efficient A/C system? Or both have the same efficiency. Thanks.
Toyota A/C systems are fantastically good.
4Runner
They will discontinue the crown . It not selling. Too expensive
Can u compare Camry 2024 & Sonata 2024?
I know a John Hardy from Draper.
GET THIS MAN A barber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about a v6 turbo hybrid 🧐🏎️
The Camrys are so marked up around me that the XLE Camry are almost the same price as the XLE Crown (even though the XLE trim on the Crown is the basic trim)
I ended up with a Camry. I test drove the Crown and I didn't fit in it. Even with the seat all the way down, my head touched the headliner. 6' 2" so not a giant or anything. The model without the moonroof would probably be OK. It's a shame because I liked the Crown better. Especially the interior.
I seen one on the freeway today i had to do a double take. Safely of course.
This is an appropriate comparison. Im not sure moving up to the Crown is worth the large price difference.
Didn’t know John Wick did car review side quests
Is this here in Utah where I am
After 5th gen 4Runner Crown might be the best Toyita product. I’d still take the 4runner.
The Crown sedan will be joined (and hopefully replaced) by the Crown Signia which WILL replace the Venza Hybrid. The Signia is more wagon-like and will have more of a purpose than the sedan. Thanks for another splendid review.
Toyota had no need to replace the Avalon with this as they are the only one still competing in this dead segment and it’s not selling worse or better than the Avalon did
I like the signia a lot, I hope they make a platinum trim for that extra horsepower
If you'd like leather upholstery in the Crown you have to get the Limited trim which starts around $45950
The Camry XLE starts around 10 thousand dollars less and leather is included.
It’s not real leather, it’s Softex and it’s a synthetic leather and not nearly as nice as the real deal.
The softex( syncetic learher)is in the Camry SE , the Camry XLE comes with real leather.
Is the crown front wheel drive or all wheel drive
All wheel
Thanks
Best Car I've ever driven. Great for anyone that's does not want to step up into something or stoop down into it. I have the platinum, the Horspower is refreshing along with the lexus like ride. Floats, 21 inch wheels. Tech is great and the self driving on the highway makes a long drive no problem. A hybrid that gives great mileage with 340 horsepower. Hands down it's a great sedan. Most people ask what kind of Suv is that? 😂.. Just a well thought out car with pretty much all you want from both sides.
Saw both on the showroom floor. The crown is bigger but the Camry looked a lot better in person. Not really a fan of the crown but that’s just my opinion
Where I live (Canada) there is a $17,000 price difference between these 2 specific models you're testing. I doubt highly that I'd find many differences that woud justify paying $17k more for a Crown, and I also think the Camry is better looking :)
If u gonna 56k on a crown get es 350 f sport or luxury because they cost the same amount and plus the sunroof doesn’t open on the crown
Cloth seats is the deal breaker. If it had things like leather seats standard then a base trim Crown is somewhat price competitive with high end trim Camry, but if I have to add basic luxury features like those on for extra cost then no thanks. Went with a Camry.
In this day and age, cars should be almost silent with road noise
I will prefer to buy the 2025 Camry. If I am going to spend the that much money to buy crown, I will just add some money to buy Lexus NX. The quality of the interior material for the NX will be way better the Crown.
With that logic, add a bit more money and get an RX. Or add a bit more and get a GX.
I want tinted windows
$6k more for the Crown, but keep in mind that it has all wheel drive as standard.
I have never seen a Crown on the road. Is it not selling well?
it still sell but many people dont know about that car or not pay attention it.
I've seen one driving in the KC metro.
I've seen it in person, looks kind of like a short suv with huge tires.
Pity nobody wanted the Avalon anymore. They’ve finally gone away from the nutty two-tone at launch.
Crown feels much smaller inside versus an Avalon or ES.
The long hair isn't a look 😂
F crown, Avalon was the best.
I’ve seen a few Crowns around town, very good looking. Wow $6k more? PS, there’s a trunk, so definitely a sedan! lol
Crown is good for people that lives where theres a lot of bad roads
Only for the XLE grade because the higher trims can get huge wheels that might cause a blowout if you hit a big enough pothole
Toyota needs to hire the designers from kia/Hyundai
Choose the one made in Japan!!!
I thought the crown replaced the venza.
Replaced the Avalon
Crown Signia replaces Venza
@@jeremycook9852 huh.
No, it replaced the Avalon.
The Crown sedan replaced the Avalon for 2023. The Crown Signia will replace the Venza for 2025 but unlike the Crown sedan, the Signia will have a higher price compared to the Venza.
To be blunt, there really isn't any appreciable difference between any Toyota products, be it a Corolla, Camry, Crown or the Lexus labelled versions. Sound insulation and plastic choices are pretty much the only differentiations. Well, some suspension, but in reality? The price differentials really aren't enough to justify the prices. The Crown/Camry pairing is going to fail just like the RAV4/latest Venza pairing. Not enough difference to justify the price.
And sorry, but I've always found Toyota's performance editions being called turd rather funny.
What is the point of the Crown? Why is it so expensive?
It's a luxury sedan with more power.
For those who want a Lexus, but don’t want to pay the luxury maintenance, insurance, and want to appear more conservative.
Crowns like double the price idk why youre comparing
hi
Toyota crowns 130 mph not the advertised 116 top end. On the 2.5, oh i can go is the experience
The Crown overlaps with Lexus too much
Camry ❤
Camry discontinued in England 😢
I prefer look and internals of the crown, I just think it's overpriced above the XLE trim. The camry is a nice improvement on the interior styling. I'd like to see your review on the crown signia which I think should be appropriately priced for a near luxury SUV.
You should be more objective. Give actually number measurements for accurate comparison.
the xse Camry is better hands down Camry feels bigger inside the. you should have drove the xse that's a better comparison
Hipster
Camry v/s Crown is no Comparison, more like Crown v/s Lexus...
Everything Toyota makes now looks like a Lexus.
Crown is higher grade Camry therefore CROWN 👑
It's the wrong match comparing Toyota Crown XLE vs Camry XSE
It should have been the Toyota XLE instead, which rides better, is quieter and cheaper than the XSE.
Cloth seats in a $42,000 car is crazy.
😂😂😂
Toyota simply doesn’t do it for me anymore.
girl bye ur mad
They sounds the same in my opinion. A bit loose sounding in compare to top trim KIA/Hyundia products.
Step away from the pipe.
b
with Asian accent, it’s pronounced Clown
I love the Camry better….
Crown is selling so poorly it will have to be discontinued.
I hope so
To me I love the style of the Camry better because it’s not slopping roof and I don’t like any car with a slopping roof also I have owned a 2023 Camry too 😂
crown doesn't have HUD, a weird decision.
Camry looks much better!
Crown is for old people Camry is for younger people lol
How??
Not true
I kind of agree with you. I had a 2012 Camry and was going to replace it with a 2025 Camry, but decided on the Crown instead. I am almost 50 so not super old, but not young either. I have more money than I did when I bought the 2012 Camry, so I decided to splurge a little on the Crown just because I could. And you can actually get the XLE Crown for less than the higher end Camrys because people don't know about it so it isn't selling well, at least not in my area. I have yet to see another one on the road.
@@jenniferwright682 Also, on Crown there are some deals going on due to its unpopularity and high price. I just saw when I went for my car service the dealer is selling Crown limited with a $6500 discount for the final sale price of $44500. So just check for deals in your area.
At what age do you consider someone "old"?
Camry is nicer
Both
From worse to worser 😖🫣
