The first Silent Hill game is my favorite but I can see why people consider this one the best 👍
Awesome. I'm excited for this one. Please no one spoil it for her as this is more of a psychological slow burn horror. I'm actually excited to see her opinions on the game and the ending she gets once she finishes the game. Have fun, God bless. Also too bad she isn't coughing as bad as she was in the last parts of Resident Evil or we could have used the "You should take a look at that cough,' line on her lol.
Best story of any video game ever made. I recommend people look up the story after they beat the game to answer their questions.
I have spent like half of an hour asking chat gpt about this game just after i finished it. Characters and their traumas, meaning of Silent Hill and how does it work. Now i know evertyhing and i am not sure if i would get that all just by finishing the game and i am kind of a person that pays much attention tho the game and its story.

The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️
Not just that, the impact of the soundtrack can't be understated. I've heard SH tracks so many times in videos that aren't even related to SH, or to horror. The soundtrack is super memorable and iconic, both in game (it fits scenes perfectly) and outside of the game. SH1 and 3 are better horror games but 2 has the more interesting mystery, the most accesible difficulty and the best soundtrack
It's not a perfect game but it's pretty good. One thing that feels pretty perfect though is the lighting haha. They really nailed the darkness lighting and fog stuff. After a while you truly start to feel lost and crap lol. I don't really get scared in games but the darkness gets maddening at times in this game. You end up turning around a lot wondering if something is right up on you lolz. Super paranoid vibes. And I dunno about you but my controller rumbles in the creepiest way when playing this game and that's also super nerve racking. I think it's a pretty solid horror game remake haha.
And as far as games go, it's got one of the best story lines in gaming history. Not saying much compared to amazing shows like better call saul or something hahahaha but for a game I mean, it's pretty good : )

Pro tip. Don't feel too conservative with healing items and bullets. A good strat for the average baddie is 2 shots from a distance and then move in to finish em off with melee. Not sure if head shots do more damage but I think they do. Many go down with two perfect head shots I noticed. The mannequins have no head so shoot em in the... middle? of their body? Whatever you would call that part of them lol. But yeah. Bang Bang SLAM! Is my main strategy haha.

The fisrt SH movie is not that bad but the second one is really bad. But they are doing a new SH movie that will be about Silent Hill 2

15:48 the resident evil movies are so bad. The first only one is pretty much the only one worth watching. It’s not great but it’s at least watchable. The rest are only worth watching purely to make fun of how bad they are. There’s also the more recent film Welcome to Raccoon City which uh… well the less said about that mess the better.
Honestly the 2nd one is as 'close,' to the Resident Evil she would know about than any of the others. For the Silent Hill movies most people say just watch the first and end it, but if she is going to play the first game I'd probably hold off on the movie as it sorta mashes games 1 and 2 of Silent Hill together.
@@VenomKpp the second film is a bit more recognisable to the games but the things it does with the game elements it brings in are awful. But I mean it did give us Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine to be fair. They didn’t do Jills story properly but Sienna was beyond perfect in the role.

I personally did not care for the Silent Hill Movies! But maybe others will refer you to them. I cannot recommend them.
There is no real city called “Silent Hill”. The movie itself and the game was adapted based off of a town called Centralia, Pennsylvania. The city had a coal mine fire that caused it's population to dwindle down to only about 7 in 2013 according to Wikipedia.

Agree, streams have distracting chat that pulls you out of the experience. Which affects these more atmospheric games a lot
